Easy location to work with.

Very easy to rent a unit online. On my first visit the office personnel were very helpful and informative. I appreciate a business when they have polite and respectful employees.

Courteous and Friendly

Ray and Jean are two of the most professional guys I've encountered in quite a while. They handled my move with speed and proficiency, leaving zero room for error. I highly recommend US Storage and this staff. Thanks alot guys

UPDATE: US Storage has extremely shady business…

US Storage has extremely shady business practices. I cancelled my contract on my storage unit in January 2025. US Storage said refunds would be sent to us within 60 days. 60 days passed and no refund. I’ve spent the next 9 months contacting US Storage in Chicago and Corporate multiple times and have never received a response. I’ ve also gone into the office and been told there is nothing they can do but leave a message with the district manager. They refuse to provide contact information for any management so there is no accountability.
They are doing everything in the power to avoid paying what we’re owed.

Update 10/31
US Storage responded to me previous post requesting an email detailing the issue and that they world respond promptly. I sent an email to US Storage on 10/25. As of 10/31 I’ve received no response. US Storage has no intention of refunding my overpayment. DO NOT USE US STORAGE.

Horrible customer service

Communication was horrible, quoted one price turned out to be another price. Access code didn’t work so we was locked in the elevator for 10 to 15 minutes. Had to push the button in the elevator to call for help. Did not tell us that it may take up to 15 to 20 minutes for the access code to work. Customer service was WACK, the young lady don’t greet the customers when you walk in, she make you feel like she doing you a favor when if no one rent the storage’s she wouldn’t have a job. Keeps a stank face on the whole time, if she’s unhappy working there quit, instead of treating customers horrible. My advice is don’t rent from them. Rude is an understatement and the Manager made excuses for her employee. That young lady should work in a warehouse so consumers don’t have to see her rude face, I plan to post my experience on all social media platforms. I also videotaped the whole time we were there. I will post that on social media platforms as well. DONT RENT FROM THIS STORAGE FACILITY!!!! Compton location on Central/El Segundo!!!!

The manager was extremely rude

The manager was extremely rude. Denied me a storage unit because my ID address didn’t match the address on my payment card and hung up on me. I saw the payment still went through so I called the next day and it’s been three days and I still haven’t gotten my payment back yet.

Poor managent.

The experience with the manager at the facility was absolutely uncalled for appalling and merits a zero-star rating. I felt immediately unwelcome, suspicious, and profiled from the moment the interaction began.
​Instead of professionally completing the rental agreement, the manager immediately acted inappropriately. She was completely unprofessional in questioning my business, specifically demanding to know why I received a discount and what I intended to store in the unit. This line of questioning was intrusive and unnecessary.
​The most shocking and offensive moment occurred when she explicitly stated that they have “a lot of cameras” to prevent “working drugs” and other illegal activities on the property. This pure negative judgment and direct implication felt like a clear act of discrimination and profiling. I felt deeply judged and targeted based purely on her assumptions, making the entire process feel hostile.
​Customers deserve to be treated with basic respect and professionalism, not open suspicion and judgment. The manager’s actions were hostile, intrusive, and deeply offensive. I warn anyone seeking a unit here to look elsewhere if they value professional and non-discriminatory service. The company needs to address this serious lack of professionalism and clear bias in its management.

Initial period $74 plus insurance x 3…

Initial period $74 plus insurance x 3 months. ! month at the regular 90/mo then....DOUBLED MY RENT with 30 days notice. WHAT THE HECK! Manager stated it was standard practice with Storage places. I didn't find it useful to argue, but in 40 years of using storage for business and personal...I've NEVER had it doubled and been required to carry insurance. What a rip off. Then he told me to complain and get it down after I paid once? Or move to another 10x10 that is still 90? What???? That tells me its truly a rip off. I will be finding another storage before Nov 1.
