I worked at the Chef' Store at 3950 SW…

I worked at the Chef' Store at 3950 SW 170th Ave, Aloha, OR 97007 for three years as a cashier and as a graveyard stocker in the produce department from 2018 to 2021. It was called Smart Foodservice Warehouse back then. A manager who I worked under, Assistant Manager Dan, harassed me for years and encouraged other coworkers and customers to harass me. In one instance he insulted me by calling me an "epsilon." He and the Store Manager, Ray, would periodically play music similar to Oktoberfest music over the store system on some mornings in order to harass me. One morning a regular customer confronted Assistant Manager Dan about playing the music as a way to harass me and Dan nervously denied it by spouting out a quick, "No." It was great to see his smug smirk wiped off his face by that customer. I witnessed this because I happened to be covering a register nearby. Assistant Manager Dan insulted me to my face, would say sarcastic things to me, and engaged in workplace harassment at my expense for years. Years. I wasn't the only employee who he would harass at times. Maybe a few months after working there on the day shift for training, I moved to the graveyard shift in which I worked incoming produce freight. I would also help break down dairy freight regularly and would help the meat department and frozen department at times. On the graveyard shift I worked with another Assistant Manager named Rick. One day I walked up to the store doors to begin my graveyard shift and Assistant Manager Rick was sitting on an L-cart outside the store. He was crying. Assistant Manager Dan berated and belittled him and caused him to cry multiple times. Rick quit shortly after and left to work at a Pizza Hut. Another employee who experienced harassment and insulting behavior from Assistant Manager Dan was a coworker who I worked with the entire time that I was there named Brad. Brad worked the meat department on the graveyard shift. At one point Assistant Manager Dan insulted him to the point that Brad chased Dan down an aisle with clenched fists. Assistant Manager Dan also encouraged coworkers such as Tyler to verbally harass me. There are many more examples of how Assistant Manager Dan created a hostile and toxic work environment not only among coworkers, but also among customers and in how he influenced their behavior towards employees. Assistant Manager Dan was a terrible person and a terrible manager to work for. He not only harassed employees, but also encouraged customers to harass and disrespect employees. The only reason why I stuck with that job was because I wanted to hold onto my apartment and the raises every six months made that possible. I worked hard five nights a week. I even increased the profitability of the produce department by fourteen percent while I was ordering loads at one point. I am in contact with former coworkers such as Brad, Cody, Darrell, Ryan, Tyler, Ray, Tim, and Paul who can corroborate what I've said. I hope that other people who work for this company can avoid illegal workplace harassment from Assistant Manager Dan. My advice is to talk to your union rep if harassment occurs. Document incidents and make sure that coworkers will back you up. Be prepared with specific events if you decide to take legal action against the company. I hope that Assistant Manager Dan is still smoking like a chimney.

Very Bad Food

I am currently residing in an assisted living facility. They use US foods for our meals. It’s the worst and the people preparing it aren’t much better. Avoid using US foods at any cost. Nothing tastes like it should and more over, nothing looks like it should.

they don't even deserve a 1 star avoid dealing with them. lost lots of money cause of the sales rep. when i spoke to his manager and explain all the faulty orders been receiving. he said he will fix one of the issues then i asked to speak with the regional manager they stopped responding to me.
it's a big mess dealing with this company

I am an OTR driver

I am an OTR driver. I have been sitting at the dock for 4 hours waiting for receiving to get their act together. I was unloaded 3 hours ago, but for some reason it is taking 3+ hours for the crew to break it down and get my paperwork together. Horrible isn't a strong enough term to put on the service here.

extremely disappointed

I am extremely disappointed in US Foods. As a member of the General Public, in the past I have bought a lot of meats for my own personal use. Now that US Foods has taken over renzie's meat market in Watertown New York, they have discontinued this service to the community. I will avoid US Foods products at all costs at any restaurant. Very disappointed. US Foods said they would be no difference, but there was.

Unprofessional US Food and their truck…

Unprofessional US Food and their truck drivers.
One of US Foods truck hit my parked car and damaged it. Even though I caught it on a surveillance and informed the person who’s in charge, they didn't take care of their fault.

What would you do if your driver ran over a kid? Would you still ignore it and cover your tracks? What kind of management is that you don't fix your problems that your driver causes to the public?

I’m a single mom who’s trying to raise a college student. You put me in a hard situation that I have to spend my grocery and rent money to fix my car. Shame on all of you that. Whom I contacted and never got answer.

US Foods has completely won me over

US Foods has completely won me over! Their produce is incredibly fresh—everything looks vibrant with no signs of browning or wilting. It’s obvious they prioritize quality from farm to store. And the baked goods? Absolutely delicious! You can taste the quality in every bite, with a perfect balance of freshness and flavor. I used to shop around, but now I don’t need to. US Foods has everything I need at a great price, and I can always count on the quality to be top-notch. Highly recommend!

Delivery is a lousy

Delivery is a lousy, was told I was 10 seconds late on approval , this is a consistent problem with deliveries, and if you get what you actually order.... I was just kidding, you rarely ever get what you order. They just out you and add something similar with a much higher cost. SMH ....Sysco is so much better.

The drivers makes no mention of missing items and the next week they bring double portion. What about the week of? Can we get an explanation why you guys aren’t delivering and why do your workers make it up the following week?

Bad quality

Unfortunately, my recent experience with this establishment left much to be desired. The meat I purchased was far from satisfactory—it was inedible and of poor quality. Moreover, the service provided by my account representative was lacking, failing to address my concerns adequately. Overall, a disappointing experience that I would not recommend.

Terrible policies and terrible customer service

I just called customer service to ask if they have vinegar in bulk for my market and they told me that their policy is that since I'm not a customer they can't tell me if they sell that product or not. The man was insistent that I fill out a "become a customer" form on their website and then he hung up on me. Sounds like a company I want nothing to do with!

They’re the worst

They’re the worst! I think they treat their workers so badly that they take it out on our products. They keep delivering all beat up boxes as if the delivery personnel kicks them. The sides are all concave in as if they drove their feet to it.

The sales rep and all the employees are horrible. Dont give a crap about NOT showing up wtih deliveries. Always short our order or give us wrong product. DO NOT WORK WITH PAUL. Save yourself trouble and take your business else where
