I cannot express how amazing Use the Sun have been over the last few weeks! This may be a familiar story to some of you.....six years ago Use The Sun installed a Solar Edge inverter for my mother. Full warranties, guarantees and paperwork. However, unbeknown to her family, scam solar company WWC Developments (now known as Energen Solar) persuaded her to have this replaced at over £3K. It didn't stop there! Along came Alternative Eco who were just about to do the same to the tune of £5K.
Now comes the amazing bit. I contacted Use The Sun who came out to assess the system within a few days. It transpires that WWC had not registered the 'new' inverter and Alternative Eco had turned the system off in an attempt to persuade my mother it wasn't working.
Sean from Use the Sun spent over 2 hours checking the system, registering the new inverter, setting up the App and showing us how to monitor everything ourselves.
I special shout out goes to Kelly in customer services, chief engineer Jazz and Sean. Great communication and service from all.
And a thank you to the CEO, who was personally kind enough to provide this service free of charge.

Huge project handled very professionally. So last autumn I signed up with Daylight Energy to get solar PV and an air source heat pump. Daylight went bust - David Humphriss, the MD, went off on a cruise while the customers and creditors waited to find out what would happen. We were absolutely furious. Humphriss is also MD of a number of other companies, PIV Direct Ltd, Redheat Solutions Ltd, with a separate Person record on Companies House each saying he has 1 appointment, but all based in Poole.

But anyway, I'm not here to rant about Daylight Rob-I mean Daylight Energy: thanks to HIES stepping in & thanks to Use The Sun buying the contracts for Solar plus ASHP from the liquidation, this harrowing tale has a happy ending. A couple of months ago UTS sent round a couple of guys to sort out the solar - working well, has already saved me a load of money - and then this week we had a bigger crew round to fit the ASHP, a hot water system, and a whole houseful of uprated radiators. They were totally professional, spent a good couple of hours making sure everything was not leaking & was heating the water exactly as it should. They gave me a good thorough handover at the end, showing me what was where & getting me signed up on the smartphone app. Without Use The Sun I'd be looking at another winter without heat, which I know I can do now, (character building stuff, they used to call it) but trust me, you would not want to given a choice. Huge thanks to Use The Sun, and to Cathryn from HIES.

Last year, we had an ASHP installed and in the process they also fixed and re-integrated an existing solar collector for hot water. Out of several companies we got quotes from, Use The Sun was the only one that was able to install the system very quickly and for a good price. And so far we've been very happy with the performance of the system.

Just had the first maintenance visit for the heat pump; had a good conversation and got some good advice from the engineer.

Overall, Use The Sun was always a pleasure to interact with.

The team know their stuff and impart knowledge in an understandable way. The heat pump service fee is reasonable given the mileage they cover.
The office team are polite, friendly and efficient.

Ive had my solar panels for several years and were very impressed with the service I received so UTS were my first go to choice. I had UTS come back last year and fit an ASHP which I have been using since. I have to say that it is paying dividends with keeping my bills at an all time minimum and always having hot water. Highly recommend UTS for their help, professionalism and knowledge and selling me what I need to save money. Great company.

Our system went down due to a replacement Internet hub, a quick call to the office and we were advised that an engineer would call and help us reconnect, sadly both my wife and I use Samsung phones and reconnection requires an I-Phone. The engineer completed this within one hour and by close of play the same day we had generated £15.00 income from a 7.7 system, well done and thank you, Use the Sun.

Really pleased I found Use the Sun as our solar and Powerwall installer. We have 26 panels and 2 Powerwalls (27kwh). They made the daunting process so easy and kept in touch at all times without being pushy until we were ready to commit. Our bills have fallen by more than expected and it feels good to be pretty much energy independent over the summer even with two electric cars. During the winter we will use the batteries to charge off peak so hope to pay very little peak electric prices - we expect to have some peak cost occasionally due to the two electric cars.

Install 23/6/23 16 panels, givenergy inverter and 5.2Kv battery. Totally AWSOME service, very professional very tidy work and overall ecstatic with the install from start to finish. instant responses to text, emails and calls. Very helpful and I will be returning for additional batteries. HIGHY recommend them 10/10

I don’t usually leave reviews as don’t get the time but this time I thought I would as the experience was great from start to finish .
I was recommended Use The Sun by a friend who recently had Solar and Battery storage installed by them so I decided to get two other companies in first then I would arrange for Use The Sun to come see us. What impressed me about Use The Sun was they asked me lots of questions about my electricity usage and what times of the day I used more power than normal asked questions like if I was planning an EV or Hot Tub in the near future.
I have a bungalow with a large south facing roof where the other two companies wanted to sell me as many panels and batteries as possible Use The Sun designed a system for my family’s requirements knowing I could also add more storage in the future from start to finish they where great ,
And a Big thanks to the installation team they where fantastic cleaned up everything after they had finished if there was one thing I could moan about was the scaffolding came. Down 3 days after installation however I do understand they where a third party company and I did get a chance to clean the gutters out !

I used this business to install a complete solar energy system (panels, inverters and batteries) Excellent from beginning to end. The initial consultation with Dean was very informative, was given a 2 week cool off period (in case I changed my mind) and the system was installed and working in 1 Day (it was a big job) I've had no issues and the system has been in up and running for 10 months. I left it some time before writing this review that I wanted to assure the quality of work and technology. The company also went out of their way to get me additional batteries. 10/10. I have recommended this company to many friend who have used them.

Sorry for the delay in putting up my experience as I promised, been busy and to be honest forgot. This is the second time I have used Use The Sun the first time was to install Solar PV on my property over 10 years ago that experience prompted me to seek them out again when I required an air to air system to be fitted. Mate cant fault the experience from start to finish, no pushy salesmen, surveyor was 20 mins earlier than booked so sat on driveway, got on with the survey any questions asked by myself were promptly answered. The team arrived and did a faultless install James ran me through the controls and the do's and don'ts cleared up and left. Great install great experience would definitely recommend them and when my boiler finally gives up the ghost I will go back to them for a quote on an air source.
