US BANK SHOWED A GUARANTEED ME ON EXPERIAN AS A GUARANTEED FOR APPROVAL WITH MY EXCELLENT CREDIT SCORE . They denied me and it caused my credit score to drop . All the negative reviews are true . US BANK is u reliable . There is no truth to their promises

DO NOT give US Bank VISA Cards as GIFTS

I called in to get Visa Gift Card replacements because I had 2 Visa Gift Cards From US Bank that were given to us by NuCor that were stollen. I had the numbers but did not have the remaining balances on the cards. The lady would only do one card at a time and would not tell me what the balance was. I gave the first card number and she stopped it. Then she told me it would cost $15 to replace it. I told her that wasn’t right. I told her that NuCor gives us those. for Thanksgiving and Christmas. She told me to contact them and ask them to replace them. I told her I would not be doing that because that would be dishonest because we had spent some of the money. Please as an employer or Patron DO NOT Give US Bank VISA cards as gifts because US Bank lacks integrity.

Stay away from them! Worst bank ever!

So, I had 2 credit card and 1 checking account with them. They cancelled all of my accounts without warning and are now holding my money, which is my paycheck, hostage while they decide when to send me my funds. The worst experience I've ever had with a bank. They won't give a reason why they closed my accounts, and they have no timetable for my funds to be returned.

I have no idea how this bank sustains…

I have no idea how this bank sustains itself. The people are totally incompetent, and no one ever seems to pick up a telephone when you call. Their drive-up service is nonexistent. Wait times of 20 minutes or more. We've had a terrible experience here and will be leaving US Bank to go elsewhere after relocation.

Unbelievably bad bank and horrible…

Unbelievably bad bank and horrible customer service. I was with them for 30 years and am thrilled to be done with them. The branch I went to was great but don’t try to call customer service unless you have an hour to spend on hold. Once you get someone they’re are collective the rudest group I’ve talked to. And that’s just the ones I could understand.

Customer Service Representative is no help

Been a customer for many years, today I had the worst experience with any customer service representative from anywhere.
This company upgraded my credit card and mailed me new ones, but they “expired” the card I have been using before I received the new cards. Been without a credit card for almost 2 weeks.
Called today and spoke with Orlando who was not only zero help, but rude and short with me on the phone. A customer service representative like Orlando needs to find a different line of work, one where he does not have to interact with people.

Wow - not surprised

Wow, came here to see where US Bank stands and I'm not surprised by the current rating. I did not choose US Bank. They bought my previous bank, which I loved and gave amazing service. For the second time, I went to the bank to deposit a check and withdraw some money for expenses. Upon arrival I'm told all systems are down nationwide and they cannot help me. I asked if there's a manual process, as they hold a reasonable amount of my money already on deposit and was told there are no manual processes. I will have to come back another time. While the staff was polite, there was no offer to contact me once things are restored. Basically a waste of time from my day and again, this has happened before at this exact same branch. I believe this is the straw that tips the scale to make me switch my accounts to somewhere with better service. Union Bank, I miss you!!!

I called US Bank to see if they could get assistance on loan payment while on unemployment. NO HELP at all...even offered to make partial or interest payments.

I called US Bank to see if they could help me. I've been paying faithfully for three years on a camper loan. My wife and I are about to draw unemployment for the first time ever. I explained my situation to the bank and asked if they have any assistance. I offered to at least pay the interest on the loan until I find employment. They are not willing to work with me during this difficult time. So the only other option is filing for bankruptcy. I'm doing my best to avoid that. The representative on the phone was rude and said "I'm perfectly aware of what bankruptcy is" My reply was "I am at least offering to pay partial payments or interest only until I get back on my feet" NO HELP whatsoever....the lady on the phone had ZERO sympathy

my debt card was used online by a hacker .. US bank contacted the merchant where my card was used and Shein lied and told US I received the merchandise the hacker ordered.. How is this possible? US bank is a rip off they told me because i shopped there in the past it is not fraud after I gave them a police report and faxed over emails and letters from shein telling to asked US bank for the $500

I want to express my deep…

I want to express my deep dissatisfaction with this bank. In my experience, they have consistently employed questionable methods to impose exorbitant fees on their customers. If you value your hard-earned money and want to avoid unnecessary losses, especially over the weekends, I strongly advise against using their services. The situation appears to be deteriorating rapidly, and there are serious concerns about the bank’s financial stability, with rumors suggesting it might be on the verge of bankruptcy. Please exercise extreme caution when dealing with this institution. 1 start is to much for them .

U.S. Bank is a thief!

Not refunded credit balance even after 3 months.
I had U.S. Bank Business Triple Cash Card with a credit of ~$3K but it was NOT refunded after closing the account/card for over 3 months.
U.S. Bank wants to steal my money and the interest on it.
Why would anyone login constantly to check a closed account?
If closing an account doesn't automatically refund my credit, what else is their intention other than to steal my money and interest on it?
I'm extremely disappointed with their design to steal from hard working Americans!

Recently

Recently, have been unable to gain access to my account via the app. After a week of trying to resolve the issue, now I'm unable to gain access to my account on the computer or the app. I'm locked out. They even had me replace my phone. Uploaded the app and it still doesn't work, yet all the other apps that required a 2nd authorization worked fine.

My checking and savings account was hacked at US Bank…

My checking and savings account was hacked into on April 30, 2025. The response from the fraud department was one phone call asking me a few details I sent them several screenshots of what had happened in my account. I lost $7000 plus another 1100 Social Security check they gave me a provisional credit. Until the fraud investigation was finished. In that 6 wk time frame I never heard from the person doing the fraud investigation I then received a letter that they denied there was any fraud and that I would need to return the presumptive credit. Which is the only money I had in savings. I later learned there was a data breach with US Bank in early April 2025 where several of their customers were affected. I never received any warning there could be a data breach. They sent a letter saying I benefited from these transactions, there was no fraud determined. I have since closed my accounts and would warn anyone to be careful because they do not protect their customers money. And the protocol for fraud investigations is sub par to say the least.

US Bank Dinosaur

I have to say, this U.S. bank feels so far behind the times. Revolut and other modern fintechs are going to eat their lunch. There’s simply no easy or affordable way to move your money internationally — the fees are outrageous. I live abroad and just want to transfer funds to the EU, but with this bank, that’s nearly impossible.

Epic Fail- Trying to use my money-…

Epic Fail- Trying to use my money- simple transfer. Over 1 1/2 hrs, 8 agents, 4 calls dropped. Not even close to resolving. And wait- 'They only can take inbound calls, they can't actually call you back when the calls drop'

Honestly, how do I escalate this? Will be taking ALL of my banking elsewhere.
