One of the largest hurdles to installing a garage door threshold seal from GaraDry® is that doors can be very different. GaraDry®'s Foam Side Blocks aim to remove this potential headache. Some older, sectional garage doors have ‘open tracks’, set back from the wall of the garage, leaving a gap. If your garage has a gap between the tracks and the wall, you can fit these between the front wall of the garage and the garage door track, thus ensuring that your garage is entirely waterproof.
Note: One pair of Foam Side Blocks is included with each PVC garage door threshold seal kit.
How do the Foam Side Blocks work?
Once you have installed your seal, you can then cut the foam side blocks to fit the gap between the garage door track and front wall of the garage. You should measure that gap first and then when you have appropriately sized the foam side blocks you can use the GaraDry® adhesive & sealant to seal it in place, creating a watertight seal up to the height of the block.
What are these Foam Side Blocks made from?
These foam side blocks are created from a high density rigid closed cell foam meaning that they are able to withstand the water coming in. These can be used with all of our garage door threshold seal products, to eradicate any small gaps around the sides of your garage door.

Needed product when we cut a 16 foot strip of garage door weatherproofing in half to cover two 8 foot garage doors. I did not mind paying $5 for the needed extra two foam side blocks, but the shipping at $13 was a bit much to bear. Why not include extra foam side block inserts in each order? They don't cost that much. Your customer support was excellent. I wrote what I needed on your website contact form and had an email answer with the link to the necessary product the next day. Rare these days.

I ended up not using all the blocks I purchased but these worked well with GaraDry’s adhesive to keep water from coming in at large gaps in the garage frame at the bottom of a 16 foot and 6 foot roll down garage door.

I came across this site and found these blockers. I was not sure if these would work on the corners of my garage. I cut them to fit nice and snug and must say it’s been two weeks and we have not seen any bugs, lizards, spiders, and/or snakes in our garage! I’m so glad I found these!

Well I have to admit, these came with our Garadry garage door thresholds. I unpacked them and thought they were packing filler. I threw them away. My husband came home from work and we started to install the thresholds, and we figured out real quick that I had made a mistake. No problem though. I got online and order them. They were here in 2 days ( good price) and these little blocks are perfect for where they go and they definitely hold back the water.
