I was scammed out of £679.25 for a Samsung S10+ cellphone. Dealt with someone called "Brenton". Received an invoice number and a receipt. Tried to call their business number and the phone just rang then cut off. Have reported them to the bank and to the fraud police. Crime ref no. NFRC190703116522. Googled their website today and it has been taken down
We were scammed out of 1100 pound for a tv. Urtechhouse is a fraud. Action fraud notified. Crime number obtained. Trading standards investigating. Citizens advice are aware. Allegedly everything points to the directors. Do not deal with this web site it is a scam. Couple of people on Facebook not received goods either. Needs to be more regulation on setting up of commercial web sites
*****FRAUD ALERT******
I placed an order by card and saw an order placed notification on the website. However I received an email saying the order did not go through and could I pay by invoice, which I did. Then my bank stopped a large transaction from card being sent from a Mac in USA to Nigeria.
When I called the company the next day the call bounced through 3 phones and was picked up by a mobile. I advised the representative of what had occurred, he seemed sympathetic and assured my that the invoice and order was genuine and that my goods would be dispatched in 24 - 48 hours. 2 weeks later I had not received the goods , my emails were ignored and my bank retracted my payment.
It has come to our attention recently there is a website selling electrical items posing as us. They are using our company name reg/vat numbers and previous trading address. I know of one person so far who is claiming to have been scammed, after paying for goods which never arrived.
