Good experience in Aigburth, Liverpool branch. We have had a good experience several times. The cups are probably smaller than some places, but have some good choices. The staff have been friendly and helpful.

Great test of coffee as well good service!

This is specifically for the Highgate branch. I'm honestly shocked at the negative reviews, because my partner and I get some of the best coffee we've had there. The atmosphere is chill and friendly and the staff are always interacting with customers in a warm and friendly way, so I'm not sure why people are saying they're rude? I have to assume they're talking about another branch. The baristas there chat with us, love our dog, and seem to enjoy working there. They remember our orders and we share updates about our lives. In addition it's honestly the best coffee in the area. They also used to play loud techno, but listened to customers and now play a more chill selection of music. We love going there.

Found this little haven this week whilst on my travels. Great little coffee shop, nice interior and staff ultra friendly. Coffee was fab as well.

Visited yesterday and got a cup of hot water as I bring my own herbal tea and the gentleman working at the time had no problem providing me with one which I appreciated this morning I go again to get my same hot water and was greeted by a rude unpleasant woman who claims i cant have just hot water as Its a health and safety issue which didn't make sense because they sell hot drinks so anyway I then said I'll buy the hot water which they was happy to sell me but then put another tea bag in when i asked for plain hot water and was told I cant just buy the plain hot water I then requested a refund and i told her ill be making a complaint and asked for her name which she replied Angel apparently the and refused to give me her second name which was also rude

Appalling customer service. Asked to buy a voucher in the new Wimbledon store and was told to buy one online. Emailed to confirm and then purchased one for a gift only to find out it can’t be used in Wimbledon the nearest branch is 5+ miles away .
Asked for it to be cancelled and it was refused.
Customer service is not a priority and the apologies are empty.

Fantastic coffee, possibly the best I've experienced in London. The day DJ events are also genius.

Coffee is disgusting. I went to the Highgate branch this morning and omg, the coffee was insipid. I don't even think there was coffee in the cup. £4.10 yuk. Having seen the feedback now, I am not alone. No wonder it was empty. That is a warning. Never again for me. Worst coffee ever.

Let’s get this straight. I’ve paid for less suspense at a magic show and for more liquid in a child’s pretend tea set. My recent visit to Urban Baristas wasn’t so much a coffee run as it was an immersive theatre production of "The Emperor's New Latte."

We ordered three coffees and one chai latte . No, not four vats of life-giving elixir. The double espresso was particularly comical . No top for takeaway a paper shot cup filled with what I can only describe as the ghost of a coffee bean. A robust aroma, a dark promise, and volume so minuscule I checked the bottom for a "Best Before: Never" stamp. These weren't drinks; they were sips. A super-sip, if you will, directly into a dimension where £4 seems a fair price for two mouthfuls of hot water and regret.

Fueled by caffeine-induced vertigo (and a desperate need for actual sustenance), we ventured into the Pastry Dome. Here lay interia two muffins, perched like bald eagles priced as if they contained actual gold leaf, or perhaps the lost formula for happiness. Were they good? Meh mediocre and there isn't a single ingredient listed anywhere. For all I know, that £ 5 pnd Muffin" was baked with ground-up hopes, artisanal air, and a sprinkle of fools gold .

The grand finale? The bill. Over twenty quid. Let that sink in . For four drinks and two oversized, overpriced cup cakes. Yeah ma wallet wasn’t feeling those easy breezy Aussie vibes .

Now, the staff. As an Aussie, my baseline for service is "friendly, efficient, and will probably call you 'mate' while saving you from a spider the size of your face." These guys had the knowledge—they could tell you the bean's farm, its altitude, its favourite colour—but the hospitality was set to "ambient." They were utterly unbothered by the fact they had just facilitated a daylight robbery where the only thing stolen was my belief in a fair world. They knew the coffee was expensive, they just didn't seem to grasp that "value for money" shouldn't be a mythical concept. Fare dinkum and all that but really the prices were OTT!

So, final verdict? If you’ve ever looked at your hard-earned cash and thought, "I wish this could evaporate faster while I consume something smaller than my own thumb," then run, don't walk. For everyone else, may I suggest literally anywhere else? Even instant coffee at home tastes like honey nectar after this.

Hospitality: As warm as the espresso was hot. Which, to be fair, was perfect. Just a shame it cost a fiver and was gone in a blink.

Terrible service from the staff. Went today and order one macchiato and one large iced matcha latte. Received one small iced matcha latte and something similar with a cortado with lots of milk. I went and asked if that one is large, because nowhere in this world that could be large. Because I did not believe I went and asked someone else and confirmed that is small and not large. Instead to give me the large one they just gave me another small but just a shade of matcha. Basically I could not drink because was just milk. I am very disappointed, was thinking will be a nice place to drink coffee in Croydon, but with this kind of staff which even is not well prepared, I will never out my feet there.

The rude staff behaviour continues even after giving feedback to customer service and higher ranked officials … very arrogant , rude , self proclaimed messiah staff with no sense of anything at all

Staff is pretty rude and doesn’t listen to customer. I have experienced that they intend to answer back customer without even listening to them … they reject customer like they are doing any favour … the staff whole approach is very negative

The eggs and avocado were perfect.
The coffee the same as English coffees are made …not to my taste.
I was horrified to see a person sitting next to me wiping down her table with a wipe before she started. It was black after!!

£7.2 for wrong coffee and a cinnamon roll that tested like sliced whit bread.

My initial greeting was great, however it appeared they completely forget my order. Due to the very long wait at a quiet time, I was given a complementary ticket for a free drink. I returned the following day and used my complementary ticket.

This time I was given the wrong order. A Cappuccino instead of a Chai Latte.

Again, there were three staff with only one other customer.

That was definitely my last visit.

Super food and good coffee which is a shame because the service makes Honig there again hard work .. the staff are clearly overworked and underpaid and although one can’t expect them to run on empty, I don’t like coffee with a side of snide :(

Uncharacteristic levels of attitude and service today in Wapping

Ordered two breakfasts and accepted that there was delays so we’d have a longer than usual wait, which agreed wasn’t a problem as we enjoy coming here and it gave us a chance to read the Sundays.

By the time breakfast arrived our coffees were finished and we asked for a refill (which we were happy to pay for) only to be told we’d have to queue up again at the counter - thus delaying breakfast further so we were left with the option of a cold breakfast or no drink to go with it 😡
The last straw was when the coffee refills came in paper cups as no fresh cups were available - again in isolation no big deal, however flexibility appears to be one way and not towards the customer on this occasion

Great experience being a regular at the Wapping branch of Urban Baristas. The staff are very friendly and professional, the coffee tastes amazing, the food is great and the cost is reasonable.

I've also recently started utilising the online subscription which gets you some of the best tasting coffee for a very good price!

Can't recommend UrbanBaristas enough!

I cannot understand why a company would spend so much money on Advertising only to ignore emails, Facebook messages (which was read and ignored) and requests for clarification on their products. I've waited a month before posting this to allow them more than adequate time to answer all 3 methods of communication but there has been none.
