Uplearn is the newest piece of garbage, written by Chatgpt in react and forced down the throats of people who have no other option.
The website forces you to watch their low-quality and watered down videos, which could be condensed tenfold, but are not. If you try to watch them at 2x or skip any part, the video is then not counted as watched. You can not leave it as playing and do anything else either, because at seemingly random timestamps the website throws questions.
The £400 promise would make anyone who knows anything about economics facepalm - the astronomically high cost creates an image of eliteness, and presumption of high quality, and when most people do not get the promised A/A* by the website - they just get their money back, which means they are still in high margin profit, no matter what!
The website is also poorly made as far as frontend design goes. Many things don't work, don't fit any real aspect ratios, there is no proper mobile compatibility (are we back in 1994?).
Overall - the educational equivalent of a ponzi scheme, except instead of the upper chain member getting the money of his referrals, the owner takes all the money and provides a subpar, inadequate, misconfigured, untested and unfinished product.

Best £399 you will ever spend
The £399 I spent on my son's UpLearn package was the best money I ever spent. Much cheaper than a tutor. I only wish I had done it at the start of Year 12 - we didn't even know about UpLearn until the start of Year 13. My son didn't meet the criteria to qualify for the money back guarantee as he started in October of Year 13 (so the time was too hard to commit) but that was all irrelevant; he got an A in any case and met his top uni offer. As a teacher, I could see how well-organised and diagnostic the platform is. It made revision easy and he was able to ace the multiple choice section of the exam, which I am sure was a grade booster.

Brilliant support for my child’s A-Level studies
As a parent, I can’t recommend Uplearn highly enough. It has been absolutely transformative for my child’s revision. The platform explains even the most difficult topics in such a clear and engaging way — short videos, interactive questions, and spaced repetition that really make the knowledge stick. My son now feels far more confident and focused in his studies, and it takes so much of the stress out of revision for both of us.
One feature I particularly value is the parental access. It’s so easy to follow my child’s progress without having to nag or worry. I can see exactly how much time he spends studying. A tiny tip for the Uplearn team — it would be wonderful to also have daily tracking, not just weekly, so I could better support him with time management.
What really impressed me is how the smart system keeps the student engaged. It doesn’t allow them to just “sit there” — it constantly checks understanding with different styles of questions, so focus is always maintained. For us, Uplearn hasn’t replaced a tutor entirely, but it has been an excellent revision course and a huge boost to independent learning.
I also appreciate Uplearn’s fair pricing. During summer holidays we decided to take a break, and I was able to cancel the subscription easily — yet all the progress was saved. When we reactivated after two months, everything was right there waiting for us, which was such a relief.
Overall, Uplearn has made revision more effective, less stressful, and genuinely enjoyable for my child. A brilliant platform and highly recommended to other families!

I really like the practice questions and exams Uplearn provide for Maths. They are highly useful for doing exam practice! I do wish they had more subjects, for example Geography. Also, an addition of a past paper/revision tracker may also be useful!

I found Up Learn very useful
I found Up Learn very useful. It helped me boost my grade and achieve an A* in A level chemistry Alhamdulillah. I am thankful to my school who gave me the opportunity to access Up Learn through the scholarship. Up Learn also helped me in A level Maths as the short yet detailed videos made it simpler and easier to understand challenging topics; it was not very time consuming either.

Absolutely fantastic platform!
UpLearn is an absolutely fantastic revision platform. I actually used it to teach myself the OCR A Level chemistry course ahead of applying to study Graduate Entry Medicine as a mature student. I was able to teach myself the course in 6 months using UpLearn's resources almost exclusively. The videos are well structured and clear, constant testing reinforces understanding and their tutors were super responsive to my queries, as stupid as some of them were! Highly recommend.

Uplearn helped me go from CCD to AAB
My School bought UpLearn in Jan 2024 when I was in year 12, since they had done that, my revision focus, intake of knowledge and memory of the material significantly improved, and that's because Uplearn teaches the content in a clear and simple way that helps the information incorporate itself in your mind so effectively. Uplearn is especially effective for revision when you pair it with other revision techniques such as flashcards, blurting, mindmaps and exam question practise. Ocr physics feels like a scam
ocr a physics a level feels like a scam. it may be the most useless course out there and would not recommend to anyone unless you are looking for something to waste your money on. The course is based entirely on someone elses youtube channel that you can find for free and just gives you unrealistic basic and easy questions that you would never find for a level. I used £500 on this just to find out i could of gotten it for free on youtube.

UpLearn truly made the difference
UpLearn truly made the difference in my A-Level Psychology exams. I gained access to UpLearn through a scholarship funded by my school. The programme specialises in active recall which is particularly useful for subjects that require intense knowledge and content.
