I was really excited when I discovered this gallery in Freetown. After spending a few years living here, I hadn’t come across much of an art scene, so this was a wonderful surprise. The collection Sarah has put together is outstanding. I hadn’t realized there was such a high level of artistic talent in Freetown. I purchased a watercolor by a local artist, and it has become one of my favorite pieces in my collection. I’m truly grateful for gallery owners who seek out talented artists and bring their work together in such a thoughtful way. I especially appreciate how she promotes contemporary African art. The purchasing experience was seamless and enjoyable as well.

Sarah is the spouse of one of my colleagues and as such I was invited to her exposition on Nigerian artists in May 2025. Although I liked some of the works, I didn't feel any connection as I have never been to Nigeria. In October 2025, I attended the exposition of John Francis, an Award winning Salone water colorist. Based on the flyer I did like one painting in particular, and seeing it for real was exiting as I felt a strong connection. I told Sarah to put a hold on this painting and would let her know the next day. Later in the evening, after reflecting, I texted her and confirmed that I wanted to buy "Pa Demba Road". When Sarah read my message the next morning, she told me that i made the right decision, as already more potential buyers showed their interest. Looking forward to the next event "Through the Eyes of Gaga’ — Louise Metzger "

I first met Sarah in Basel during Art Basel. It was a pleasant experience. She enthusiastically talked about the artists' work. I followed the gallery online and also ordered the book "Made in Sierra Leone" by Sabahoh there. Payment and shipping went smoothly, and I'm looking forward to browsing this fascinating book.
So thank you for everything.

I am so happy to have found this gallery in Freetown. It is new, fresh, and full of inspiring great artists. Sarah and her colleagues are very knowledgeable and make you love ar as much as they do. The atmosphere is really great. I went there for two exhibitions and can't wait for it to be open again to the public.
I also bought the book, as a gift for my boyfriend, and he loved it. It is really well done and you can see they care about every single detail.

I bought a beautiful painting from unx-art in January 2025, and I enjoy looking at it every morning. The service was excellent, and the artwork is even more impressive in person than it looked online. It’s great to be able to support emerging artists at an affordable price. I’ve enjoyed the experience so much that I’ve already bought a second painting from unx-art!

Sarah is AMAZING!!!! She is very professional and attentive. She answers my emails promptly. She was able to swiftly and smoothly deliver a painting to me in the United States. She also worked with another gallery to secure another painting of an artist I admired. I will continue to use this company for future business.
As someone who was not familiar with African art, this book has been like a map to navigate and understand a world full of magic and beauty. Get the book, you don't have to read it in any specific order, just open it on any page and it will take you to places that you didn't know existed. Upon discovering during the my stay in Nigeria, I found myself captivated by a world previously unfamiliar to me—the vibrant realm of art. This book isn't just a collection of paintings and biographies; it's an intimate exploration into the lives and stories of the artists themselves, curated with a palpable passion and profound respect.
The author, with remarkable skill, uncovers the lesser-known tales behind each artist, bringing their worlds to life with every page. For someone like myself, not deeply versed in art, this approach transformed my appreciation for painting from mere observation to a deep, emotional engagement. The stories are beautifully woven together, creating a tapestry of artistic expression that resonates on a personal level.

A coincidental chat with Sarah about our experience watching the Durbar in Kano led to us having in our living room within a week a beautiful painting by John Oyedemi about the Durbar, this unique cultural Nigerian spectacle. We admire her dedication to promote Nigerian painters, and appreciate the transparent transaction (e.g. delivery of certificate of authenticity and payment via company website).
