I would also warn people to stay away

I would also warn people to stay away. Now that I have given them the money and start trying to use the membership, I find they are worthless.

I was promised 1000.00 towards a cruise. Not even close. Got better pricing from my regular travel agent. They would match the price BUT, this was with my supposed part of my 1000.00 of my membership. Once they have your money, is there a way to get it back and get out of this? Bond two two zero one at me dot com!

SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!

SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! If that message is not clear, let me repeat that Unlimited Vacation Club is a completely worthless SCAM to steal your money and provide nothing. Do not believe their lies which are presented in a "90 minute visit" which turns into close to 6 hours of high pressure sales and misleading information. They present themselves as part of the "World of Hyatt", which we trusted as we know and trust Hyatt. They lied to us, we cancelled at 8:30 the next morning (within the first 18 hours). By Mexican law they must return all money. They did not, keeping $2,000 for "services used" which was a "move in" and "upgrade" which were of course never used! There was no move in. There was no upgrade.
Perhaps 20 hours have been spent on the phone so far, in a continuous "you have to call another number" scam. Save yourself, run far away from Unlimited Vacation Club.

DON’T DO IT

DON’T DO IT. They harass you at the airport (Cancun) as soon as you get off the plane and try to sell you some cheap tours (they’re not cheap compared to what you can get in town- Tulum). Then there’s the catch… they take you to some outdated hotel FAR from the town and hotel zone, waste 90 minutes of your precious vacation time and try to sell you a timeshare or for you to book your vacation at the Dreams resort next time. It’s a waste of time. Don’t do it. Timeshares are a scam.

Everything we looked forward to!

My husband and I have been with UVC since August 2016. This vacation club was 5 years into it's beginnings when we joined. We too were concerned with reviews after we bought in and arrived back home.
We went to Secrets in Cancun and were skeptical at first with the presentation to join UVC.
There were additional products that were given to "try out" such as yachting excursions and a vacation program where you're given "points" to use around the world. My husband and I didn't find those beneficial for us, we just wanted to use UVC. We also have adult children who are Co-owners on our policy and they have had excellent service and accommodations. This is NOT your typical "Time Share" program. It is a (Club Membership) based on your style of resort and your needs. We have been all over Mexico with UVC and stayed at both Secrets and Dreams resorts. I'm picky about my resorts so I look for "Diamond" classifications. Make sure your resorts have beaches that are swimmable if you like to get into the water. Staffing has been excellent at the resorts we've been to, both on the Caribbean and Pacific coasts. The food has been exceptional, there's activities and entertainment designed for the flavor of the resort and the resorts we've visited have been clean and inviting. It's your responsibility to know how to utilize your benefits from what your membership offers. We've used the Shuttle from the airport to the resort and back and it was well worth the money. Cost was comparable or less per person than what the local taxi's charged.
It's amazing to hear people panicking and giving UVC a bad rap. When it came time to continue the other time sensitive packaged programs offered when we signed up with UVC, we let them lapse.
We love having our membership and I've learned how to utilize our package to its fullest. Our adult children are going to continue our membership when we get too old to travel. Hope this review gives readers a better impression of what UVC is, at least what we've experienced these past 7 years. Looking forward to other trips to countries such as Europe and South America where UVC has expanded into.

Our 10th Anniversary Trip

Our 10th Anniversary was absolutely miserable. My husband and I love Zoetry and since we’ve stayed at the Jamaican resort twice, Dominican Republic once and the Mexico resort once, we assumed that the St Lucia Zoetry was in the same league. For me, it is necessary to have a level of comfort due to my physical limitations. Although successful in removing a tumor from the base stem of my brain, I battle with balance and autoimmune issues.

* Fact 1: Upon arrival, our room was a Motel 6 type room even though we asked for a suite. After discussing plans to leave with our UVC contact, Zoe, a suite was “found”. Images on the resort website use the same pictures for all regular rooms and “Image Coming Soon” for all suites.

* Fact 2: Before arrival, our UVC contact requested dietary restrictions from us. These restrictions are medical and not just desires. None of our requests were honored and I’m still dealing with the fallout from eating certain foods. Each restaurant had 3-4 choices of a category and each food item fell into the same category. Example: For Starters, the choices were Tuna Tartare, Steak Tartare, Octopus, or a Salad. To make matters worse, the menu never changed, the preparation wasn’t healthy, the staff wasn’t knowledgeable on ingredients and pushed back on any requested deviations. For example: it was requested to have a cheeseburger on lettuce instead of a gluten bun. The waitress didn’t want the change and stated she’d have to ask the chef it could be done.

* Fact 3: The hotel staff wasn’t knowledgeable on resort items and gave incorrect information. We are not a stickler with money on vacation but my husband was told that gratuity was included in our island tour by a resort staffer. The actual driver stated it was not included. This trend continued during the week on multiple subjects.

* Opinion: Some staff were nice. Others were not or it was forced. As a business owner with staff, I could tell the “nice” wasn’t genuine. If I treated our clients like the staff treated us, we would have a folded business.

* Fact 4: The now read reviews online are similar to ours. Because it was a Zoetry resort, we didn’t read them ahead of time.
* Opinion: The good reviews are either made up, very old, or the person did not stay a long period.

* Fact 5: I have stayed at “Wellness and Luxury” resorts before. This is neither. I do understand transition in business but what we experienced goes far beyond it.

* Fact 6: Restocking of our room was sporadic unless you requested it. You must ask multiple people, multiple times in order to get anything done or received. Our room was “cleaned” by making the bed only and not every day.

* Fact 7: 24 hour Room service normally takes about 30 minutes. If food was ordered via phone, you were told about 15-20 minutes but the wait time was more like 1 1/2 hours or more.

* Fact 8: The resort is old and not “New” as it’s described on the website. It may be “new” under Zoetry rebranding but it is not a new resort. (See pics attached).

* Fact 9: Ants and mosquitos were always in our room.

* Fact 10: For anyone with a disability, there is nothing in place to accommodate special needs or any type of statement on the website which would alert travelers. Besides a golf cart that may take you to your room upon request, this area is severely lacking. A more educationally informed staff would allow anyone with my type of disability to choose another resort. My husband was concerned about me being able to get around, and specifically called/emailed our UVC contact at least 3-4 times. Later, our UVC contact admitted that she didn’t really understand the limitations of a disabled person. I paid a hefty price for her lack of education. My flares caused by food/and or conditions, will last 2-4 weeks. As of this writing, I’m in week 2.

* Fact 11: There were no vendors, after dinner resort entertainment, or things to do as we found at other resorts.

* Fact 12: The ferry ride to the beach was barely stable. In reality, the ferry ride was a very old, dirty and near sunken fishing boat. The beach was a corner piece of land that was trash filled, and full of cigarettes.

* Fact 13: The resort pictures on the internet are photoshopped, altered, or airbrushed. What I saw in real life and what is pictured are vastly different.

* Fact 14: We cut our trip short and left early. We will never return and there is a bitter taste in my mouth when asked about my anniversary trip.

Unlimited Vacation is not good

We just got back from a vacation where we went through the program. We thought it looked pretty good so we bought one. Once we got out where we had internet service I started looking them up, WOW, not one good review, not one anywhere, Facebook is blowing up with bad stuff, what a scam. In Mexico you have 5 business days to get out of anything that is contracture, so we sent a letter and we are out, thank God.
If I had a company with this many bad reviews I would figure out what is wrong and fix it for sure.

This is my experience at the scam dream

This is my experience at the dream, sapphire, spa and resort, and they were trying to sell me the scam . I didn’t feel like a racing my review on the hotel, so just read through it . Never been to Cancun before this vacation. Got to the airport ride didn’t show up that I pre-paid for that was my first bad experience . Finally got to the hotel 2hours later . Checked in got to the room it’s the wrong room and it smells like mildew . call the front desk they switch us to another room and it smells like mildew at this point it’s night time I’m tired And I didn’t want to complain too much so we stayed in it every day for four days. This room was moist everything in it your clothes, your bedding, the doors, the floor but I thought maybe it was the In-N-Out opening and closing the door because it is the tropic but on the fourth day we were gone the entire day because somebody that works for the hotel lied to us saying we were going to go look at another hotel And give a review on what we thought of it because the Hyatt owned them all now and come to find out that was a lie. They were trying to sell us which they did a unlimited vacation club package and our phones didn’t work at the other hotel, so we couldn’t Google anything of it . Yes, we were gullible. We fell for it We tried to talk about it with each other, but they won’t leave us alone to even talk about it. They sent somebody with us when we just try to. You know talk to each other about it and we ended up buying it and the next morning when we woke up we felt sick about it so I googled the ultimate vacation club and all bad reviews on the BBB And if it wasn’t for somebody else going through the same experience and having a legal Mexican law, document we would’ve been stuck paying $10,000 but he had the legal letter that all you have to do is copy and paste and write all the information on it that you need to write down so you could cancel it . I sent every email on the contract a cancellation notice that made me feel better, but I was still upset that took an entire day out of my vacation that I paid for And it was all a lie. Just to get someone to sign up for a vacation package that only offers you discounts. Thank god I read the reviews. No one gets anything . I got the down payment back I don’t know yet. I’m still waiting for it on my credit card takes 10 to 15 days plus the Mexican law only gives you five days to cancel a contract from the date Thank God it was a very next day , but besides that the rooms the wet one when we got back to the room we weren’t there all day but everything was still wet so I called the front desk and we told them and then some maid said we left the door open. Well this is the ground floor. We never left the door open. She lied , and she had no reason to lie because we never got maid service we had do not disturb on our door from the time we got there so they ended up giving us another room. That room was on the third floor which was nicer dry didn’t smell like mildew and that’s about the rooms , my last three days there I was sick. I think it was from that wet room Braverman, mildew, and witness for four days. My last two days there I was on the toilet one night the next night I was on the toilet with the garbage can in front of me I come home with a fever Congestion and sick I would never stay in this hotel again the people there are very nice though the service was great but the rooms are outrageous and see a doctor there was 175. American dollars that I was like no I’ll just wait till I get home , overall this was the worst vacation ever took in my life I don’t even think I ever want to go back to Cancun ever most of all this hotel .Hey

I've been a member for three years now...

I've been a member for three years. I've booked over four vacations through UVC using premier nights and just now booked my free stay in Secrets Papagayo in Costa Rica for December. During the first two years, I took advantage of the Hotel Discount affiliation program made available to us. I was getting deeply discounted deals on my local hotel stays. After the program expired, I didn't renew but decided to continue my UVC membership. Every stay has been fantastic. They make everything possible, even curate for special events, like anniversary or birthday celebrations. +

Now, down to the money. If you are not an AVID traveler, this program is not for you! The way I see it, I am paying the membership for the experience. Booking is always accessible over the phone, and pick-up services are seamless. I traveled in 2021, right when COVID was going strong. I had booked a stay in Cancun and contracted COVID on my flight. The hotel was super accommodating. They offered me a free stay to quarantine five days after my booking expired. I was offered all their food and beverage amenities without restrictions. My breakfast, lunch, and dinner, including alcoholic beverages! Obviously, I had to remain in my room until their Doctor cleared me. My friend, on the other hand, who booked her stay with another resort, didn't share the same experience. She was offered a complimentary stay up to three days but was given food of their choosing served on paper plates!!

Final thoughts, is it worth it? It all depends on your wants; if you want to travel to great places at a discount, then yes! This program is for you. If you are a member, I recommend searching the pricing on their competitor's list before you book. I did find better pricing on Priceline once. I called and emailed the pricing screenshot to the email provided on the contract, and they lowered my cost by 15%. No fuss, no jumping through hoops; it was easy.

NOTHING BUT LIES!!!

NOTHING BUT LIES FROM THESE CROOKED PEOPLE!!! First off they LIED about EVERY they promised. I can not stress enough to stay away from these people!!! They looked us in the eye and promised us three free vacations and $10k worth of airline miles when we joined the club, ALL of this was a lie!! They promised 40% to 60% off all travels and ALWAYS an upgrade to a better room or better package, ALL LIES!!!!
They promised $1000 each year towards cruises, I called to set up a cruise but I can only use $600 of it, BUT here’s the messed up part! Expedia is $1,200 CHEAPER than what they offered me after deducting the $600 FOR THE EXACT SAME CRUISE!!! I could go on and on about their BS and LIES!!
STAY AWAY FROM THESE THIEVES AND LIARS!!!!!

We were at Secrets in Jamacia for…

We were at Secrets in Jamacia for vacation and were told that we were invited to breakfast and that we would be part of a 90-minute presentation that would show us how we could save money by joining their Unlimited Vacation Club. Well, 4 hours into the presentation I declined the offer, but I was met by two other people who shared with us the so-called value of taking an offer that would convince my wife and me to join because it would help even my family and friends get better rates than any other establishment we could find or use! Not thinking and now under the influence of drinks we signed up thinking the bargain deals they presented well why not? When asked about the contract they stated it would be sent in an email and we could go over it more through. Well after getting back from vacation and reading the contract I decided this wasn't for us and I then promptly called the customer service rep who stated that we would have to speak to a supervisor who would help us cancel the contract. Well because the cancellation was within a 5-day period and we were on day 7 due to our plane being delayed by a day we couldn't get a refund and if we did we would half to pay half of the $12,750 regardless. The supervisor said someone would be contacting me within 24-48 hours with the details. this, of course, didn't happen and once I called back all I got was a run-a-round. I am so sorry I didn't stick to my guns and leave up there after saying no! Don't get caught up run so like so many others you don't get caught up!!!

Even if you have money to burn

Even if you have money to burn , burn it elsewhere. They will say anything and everything to get you to buy. They will promise you the world but when its time to delivery , its no this and no that. Reading you what's in your contract. Even if they have nothing to lose. I booked a week using my VIP , knowing that they will expired soon and I didnt want to lose them . I booked the hotel first , then months later when I caught a good price on the flight I went and booked the flight. However the flight was for 1 day later than my hotel and leaving 2 days later. So now I had to move my hotel reservation to arrive one day later and leaving one day later and one top of that book an extra day since Im staying for 8 nights instead of 7. Something so simple could be such a frustrating experience. The person on the phone said he couldnt do it and for me to call back a few days before my trip and they will notify the resort that I will arrive one day later. Then he goes on and books 2 extra day for me. I said wait a minute I just need extra day since Im only staying one extra day and just moving my 7 day reservation. So I insisted to speak to somebody hire up. I dont want to remember months from now to call you to move my reservation one day. All this back and forth just to find out they are not moving my reservation by one day but just letting the resort know I will be arriving one day later and I will be loosing that day . And that I will have to book 2 extra days for my stay. So basically you are misleading me just to get me off the phone and find out when time comes that I was screwed. Its a long story I called back many times and even speaking to a supervisor. Its a stupid computer system Im pretty sure someone with authority and a password can go in and move the arrival and departure dates by one day. There is no need to cancel and make a new reservation. Basically their point is if they cancel my reservation, being my VIP week is expired I wont be able to use it and lose it. Very frustrating experience and really total waste of time. Its much better to come out and tell me you dont understand what Im calling for , but its so simple Im pretty sure you get these calls all the time
I just need to move my reservation by one day. Why do I have to remember to call back right before trip? Why are you misleading me, why cant you say your reservation is final and cannot be changed or you will lose it. On top of that put you hold, keep you on hold for so long and I keep coming back on the phone and saying Im still working on it. Half an hour later Im skeptical if anything was even done , just to find out nothing was done and nothing could be done.

DO NOT SIGN UP WITH UVC!!!

Do not sign up for this useless vacation club. It serves no purpose. All the "benefits" they tell you during presentations are a bunch of BS.
I did a presentation back in 19' and after hearing their outrageous price, i said no thanks. After going thru a few people of saying no, they finally offered a trial of their program for 5 years. I actually wanted to try a all inclusive type of club so for 5k, we gave it a shot since it wasn't much. 1k down, 4k to pay and once its paid off, 7 nights free.
As we all know, the pandemic occurred. Guess what, it didnt occur for UVC. Nothing was paused, nothing was extended. If you had premiere nights, it expired since you couldnt travel. Even asking for an extension, nope, because their resorts were opened. Who cares about the pandemic!!
Each year, they continued to call for their annual payment. Non stop calls from lifestyle club nonsense to renew as well.
Anyway, fast forward to 2022, i had to book my 7 nights free otherwise i'd loose that too! Booked for Dreams Onyx in Punta Cana. Huge mistake. Rooms were FILTH!!! Mold smell, black mold/mildew in the bathroom all over, filthy stains around toilet and around bathroom. Dirty sofa. It was bad. Requested another room but needed to wait for the next day. Got another room and to my surprise, same exact condition minus the mold smell.
I asked to be transferred to another dreams resort nearby since the resort had no more rooms or so they claimed but they said I'd have to call UVC. All UVC was able to tell me was that i'd be penalized 2 nights and that because the deadline for me to use my nights has passed, i cant book them to move so i'd just have to pay in full for the other resort. They provided me all the negatives and the cant do this, cant do that instead of try to help me. Asked for a Supervisor who basically reiterated everything that they couldnt do for me and everything I would get penalized by moving. He basically told me the benefit of UVC is to act like a middle man for the resorts. Totally useless. Read all the 1 star reviews before you sign up for this. I'm so happy that I did not sign up for their real packages for high costs. 5k wasnt much at all to try.
The smallest most simplest gesture they offer is that they put a welcome uvc member banner on your door. Both times I have used this club, I did not get any banner on my door. Even after telling them this time that I didnt even get that small gesture, they Still did not put it. Lol what a joke. Dont do it people-- do not sign up for this!!!

Stay away from UVC

UVC tried to convince us, without providing any prices that joining the club would be good value. They threw around figures just plucked out of thin air and when we asked for justification they just gave us stupid answers that did not stack up. The more we probed the more frustrated the sales person got. When we asked for the price of the membership they did n’t want to tell us. They got a manager who rather than engage us in conversation told us this was their process and it has worked for 12 years. I pointed out I’d been selling business for over 20 years and lots of hype just did not cut it for me, and thus we were done! Stay away! Why would you hand over your money for a long term arrangement like this. The pandemic has shown that nothing is certain and committing your money for the promise of something in the future, well is simply a bad return. Having read other reviews I can see why they refuse to discuss the price of the membership as they think they are dazzling you with all their sales talk with limited transparency! Just say no and enjoy your time at the beach!

We also found out that there is only a 5 day cancellation period if you sign a contract with them. They also refer to not going to court if you want to end the contract but that is because they simply hand the whole thing over to a collections organisation. If you sign you’ve entered a contractual arrangement which you are obliged to fulfil. One couple we met as been quoted $23k for the lowest membership level. They had been told they could pay a deposit but they had not been told they would be charged interest on future instalments.!

Don't Do It!!!!

If I could give this less than a one star I would. We paid over 5k for a test membership and it was time to book something or lose the money, so we booked. Our points would only allow us a lower seed hotel. This same hotel, Now Emerald, books online for dates we've booked for only $1,200 (163 per night). No ocean front, no upgrades in spite of our paying thousands of dollars more. While we loved our stay at Secrets and would highly recommend, I cannot not recommend buying into their travel clubs, a total waste of money! Rick & Kim D.
