The camera I bought says PTZ but it only pans, tilt, but there's no zoom for the optical so I'm not quite sure why PTZ when the Z is not available on the optical zoom!!! if I would've known that I wouldn't have even bought that camera because I could've got a camera with the same features essentially for about $159 instead of $279 so you might wanna look at that it's the color view camera
