At Under the Rose, we create jewellery that means something. Not trend-led pieces made to be worn once, but personal keepsakes designed to stay with you for years. What makes us different is how deeply personal our work is. Many of our pieces are created using real fingerprints, hand or foot prints, handwriting, Morse code, or even nose and paw prints from beloved pets. Each piece begins with a real story and is made specifically for one person, one moment, one memory. Nothing is mass produced and nothing is rushed. We’re a small, close-knit team working from our UK studio, and every order is handled by real people who genuinely care about the outcome. From checking impressions and personalisation details to carefully finishing, polishing and packaging each piece, we treat every order as if it were our own gift. We also understand that meaningful jewellery often marks emotional moments – celebrations, milestones, and sometimes loss. That’s why our customer care is thoughtful, patient and human, not scripted or transactional. Customers choose Under the Rose because they want jewellery with depth, warmth and purpose. Pieces that quietly hold a story, feel good to wear every day, and become part of life rather than just an accessory.

I was excited about a gift using my children's fingerprints, but it's really underwhelming. The prints are there, but you can’t see them with the naked eye, so if you want to look at them you have to zoom in using your phone. Even then it looks as if they were left by a child's greasy finger and while I find greasy kids prints all over the house, I wasn't thrilled by the idea of paying for the privilege. It also isn't flat as it appears in the images on the website but more like a tiny bowl. Customer services were initially friendly but their reply to my complaint was that “to see someone’s fingerprint in person you need to look closely,” which whilst technically true, makes the images on their website feel misleading. When I enquired about a return the company refused on the grounds that it was bespoke, which is true, but one you need a magnifying glass to enjoy.
Ordered a personaised bracelet. Firstly it was too big. Then it tarnished badly within 4 months even when i hadn't worn it. When i complained they said tarnishing is a naturally occuring process, i should polish it myself, & it should be kept in an anti tarnish bag (i kept it in original packaging they sent it in). Now,
1) If their jewlery tarnishes so soon, they should have provided a tarnish bag. Jewlery which is much cheaper than this brand is sold with one.
2) For personalised jewlery, you atleast expect it to last a few years. Its embarassing & a shame if you gift a personalised item & it cant even be worn for a few months. They should have better understanding of what materials to use for personalised jewlery that can last.
Overall its super bad value for the money they charge. Extremely poor quality.
Ordered an item. It arrived and was not as pictured. The chain of the bracelet was completely different. The bracelet is also meant to be adjustable which it shows and describes on the website but this is not the case on the product. It looks really cheap and isn’t finished to a good standard. If it wasn’t so close to Christmas I would send it back. Would not buy from here again. Images aren’t what you receive.
I had a voucher given to me for a special birthday for this company . I went online over the Black Friday weekend to choose an item , which I did but my voucher code wouldn’t work . I called the company and was told because I wanted to pay by gift voucher I couldn’t use the Black Friday sale ! I’ve never experienced this at any other retailer and am not very impressed ! Just because I am paying with a gift card rather than a debit /credit card I can’t use the sale !
What a truely fantastic experience from ease of order through to delivery.
I placed an order for a personalised bracelet and it was delivered the next day! Beautifully packaged and so very pleased with the quality.
Absolutely faultless! Highly recommend and will definately be ordering in the future.
I placed an order when this company was under a different name button and bean, and had a positive experience we wanted to order the same item and was advised to order the necklace and quote the previous order number. Which was great.
However when our order arrived there was no writing on as on the previous order (mistakes happen that's fine) I have contacted the company 4 times now and yet to receive a reply. I'm hoping this is an oversight but not feeling confident. Maybe it's the start of a decline of what was g a good company? So please be mindful when ordering.
I am so delighted with my morse code bracelet. Excellent quality, delivered within 5 days and the packaging was beautiful. Will definitely be ordering gifts for loved ones. Having looked at several websites this one stood out with something unusual. Thank you so much.
Fantastic service, I ordered a morse code bracelet yesterday morning and it arrived today.
The bracelet is beautiful, good quality, even the packaging is lovely. Makes a lovely personal gift.
I have ordered before and always had a great service, and will definitely use again.
Thank you
Having been extremely disappointed at Astrid & Miyu’s welded bracelet service, I looked for a company that might be able to give me what I wanted and found Under The Rose, 45 minutes drive from where we live. From start to finish the service was amazing. My welded bracelet was going to be a valentines gift from my hubby that I chose and I wanted to see exactly what was available before committing to the jewellery and service. The staff at this company were great, not only did they send me lots of pictures outlining their bracelet chains, costs and charms they sent close ups to ensure I was happy with exactly what I was asking them to reserve and they were so flexible. Twice I had to contact them to reschedule as the week I booked to see them for my welded bracelet I was ill. This was not a problem. They were so relaxed about it and just wished me well.
The actual experience was fantastic. Yes they don’t have a snazzy front store like Astrid & Miyu but honestly, I’d rather pay much less (like I did) not to finance that and have a beautiful piece of jewellery by a professional as I did.
The jeweller welding my bracelet was a trained jeweller and knew exactly what she was doing. We went through looking at several options of bracelets till we found the one I liked and I had three charms added on in the desired order that I liked with her professional opinion. My little son and husband came to the studio to have a look and whilst it was being completed went for a wander outside; it was a lovely experience and one I will never forget.
I can only say good things about this company. They really care about their customer, their jewellery and what they are presenting to the customer. Being sorely disappointed with Astrid & Miyu’s I would say please choose this company instead. The bracelet is much better quality and value for money. My charm contains a white sapphire instead of a cheap cubic zirconia (if you know anything about jewellery you’ll know that’s much nicer to have!)
Finally I’ve had my bracelet on for nearly 2 months now and it’s not broken! The J charm can sometimes get stuck in threads but I knew there was a chance of that due to the nature of its shape and still opted to have my sons initial so this is nothing against the company or bracelet. And even though it’s caught it’s as tough as nails… it’s not going anywhere!
Thank you for your service UTR
Extremely happy with my purchase! item was exactly the same as the picture and description. Packaging and gift wrapping were beautiful with some lovely extra touches. Delivery was very fast (2 days) Perfect personalised gift would definitely order from here again.
Fantastic company, superb products. Incredibly helpful and amazing service. This one of the few companies who really look after their customers and I recommend them 100%. Thank you for all you have done.
I would highly recommend Undertherose.
Absolutely delighted with my order.
The necklace is beautiful.
The customer service I received from Meg was outstanding.
I will definitely be ordering again.
I had a morse code bracelet made and am really pleased with it. I had a couple of extra letters added and they were more than happy to do this and were really helpful when I called to discuss what I wanted. Within a few days of ordering I had my bracelet which arrived in lovely packaging and I am now thinking of getting a second one.
