The nation's only retailer of lost luggage. Unclaimed Baggage has purchasing agreements for unclaimed items with all domestic airlines and other travel and transportation companies. With five decades of experience processing large volumes of one-of-a-kind items, we maximize each item’s potential for a second life. After these items go through our rigorous readiness process, we determine selling prices based on estimated retail values and conditions, up to 85% off retail prices. We stock approximately 7,000 unique, heavily discounted items each day in our retail store, and thousands more online, where they are discovered and “reclaimed” by new owners. On average, for every item sold, we donate an additional item to someone in need. From the earliest days, our goal has been to find a purpose for any item possible. Over the past five decades, we have established partnerships with a multitude of local, national, and global charity organizations so leftover items can be reclaimed for good.

Bad service, bad value.

I placed an order on February 14th, and they say orders placed over the weekend will ship by Tuesday. I heard nothing, even when emailing, and finally on February 25th they just cancel my order. Still no response otherwise.

Frankly, I’m glad they cancelled it. Their pricing isn’t actually that great when you look closer. I got the same product refurbished to like-new directly from the manufacturer in just 2 days! Order with them if you want them to charge you right away, sit on your money for 2 weeks, and then cancel with no response, overcharging you for a product they got in bulk from an airline.

what made this experience so great was…

what made this experience so great was i wasn't looking to purchase a fur coat, but I overheard the staff talking with another lady.

I injected myself into the conversation and they asked me if I wanted to try one on. and Lord behold I purchased two furs.

Annette V. and Haley C. was awesome........they twisted my arm to but them....and I am so happy that they did.

Customer Service

I am a frequent customer to Unclaimed Baggage. All the staff is very helpful and friendly. I would like to express my appreciation to Dedria (perfume counter). She has assisted me with multiple purchases and makes the experience most pleasant. She does a great job and makes you feel like you are the only customer in the store. I hope you will recognize her for all she contributes to making the shopping experience superb! Good job Dedria!!!!!

Scammers

I was looking at a jacket that was marked down 97+%. I found that same jacket on the internet elsewhere cheaper. They probably spend 30s putting a price on there to see if suckered will buy it and slowly work the price down from there but keep the original, terrible price to show just how faaar down they've marked it as if some wonderful deal.

Dubious marketing tactics

Dubious marketing tactics that features discounted prices on prices that are higher than original MSRP. You have to do your own research to see if the price they feature is even a discount or the same price you can get from another retailer, except used instead of new. Yeash. It's better to stay away from this.

Purchased online and never received. Wouldn’t refund.

I made a purchase online and never received my order. USPS tracking clearly showed that the item was returned to the company and never even left the first shipping facility. Despite this, they refused to issue me a refund.

To make matters worse, they charged me $27 for shipping when USPS confirmed the actual cost was only $7. They didn’t even insure the package for its true value.

I tried resolving the issue by calling their customer service line no less than 20 times. Unfortunately, they only have one representative working at a time. If that person is “on lunch” or assisting someone else, you’re forced to leave a voicemail. Even if your call is routed to their physical store, staff refuse to help. The online customer service manager also leaves every day at 2:30 CST, making it nearly impossible to reach anyone.

This company is a complete joke. They are dishonest, disorganized, and make zero effort to resolve customer issues. I strongly recommend avoiding them at all costs.

This site claims all items are…

This site claims all items are professionally cleaned. The items I received were NOT cleaned. There was makeup all over the collar of the jacket I received and there was a dirty used face mask in the pocket. Disgusting and disappointing. Additionally, the sizes on the actual tags of the items I received are not the sizes that were advertised on the site.

Good experience buying. Bad experience returning.

I've bought multiple headphones from here. In fact, it's the only thing I've bought from them. If you're trying to find the perfect pair of headphones, look elsewhere. Not a good place to experiment. If you try to return, they charge $8.23 for shipping it back. I bought a pair of Anker Q20i just recently for $31.74, went through the return process and only got $13.51 back. I take a $20 hit returning it. More worth it if you get free shipping, but still recommend somewhere else if you're not for sure gonna like the product.

Sent a damaged item and met with unprofessional customer service - Chloe

Sent me a damaged item from an order that amounted to over 281 USD (not the only purchase in the recent weeks) and Chloe (customer service) was unwilling to offer any form of customer service beyond stating that I should return for a full refund only even as I shared the costs that I put into trying to rectify the situation on my end. She was unwilling to offer a discount or any form of courtesy. I wrote apologetically and with the intent to figure something out because I really wanted to support this business. However, being met with such disrespect and lack of professionalism (especially when I purchased an item that cost me more to try and correct on my own because it was not in the condition that it was advertised to be with omission of damage that was extreme enough that the rest of the purchase needed to be remediated out of pocket as well), I realize that this indicative of an issue that likely does not just affect me. I would have been satisfied and understanding with any ounce of willingness to try and take some accountability or even the pretense of customer service regardless of the outcome. I am not surprised that it was not difficult to find others with the same experience with little effort.

Stole my shirt from my suitcase and not answering my emails. Very scammy company and business model! Imagine seeing your clothes from a “lost” suitcase sold on a website! Amiri , Zegna ETC plus these guys have a scammy strategy where they charge almost 100 bucks for shipping. Overall a scam, STAY AWAY!!!! This company should be illegal the way they are operating!!!

Defective Product but still cost me $ to return

I ordered things from here a few times and the products were fine, albeit not exactly a 'bargain'. Then a ordered a pair of AirPods that they claimed they had tested. When I tried them, they simply created a buzz in my ears. A loud buzz at that. I reported it to Unclaimed Baggage and they told me I would need to return them (and pay over $8 for the return postage) in order to get a refund. I let them know I didn't think it was good customer service to charge someone to return a defective product ... but alas! They didn't care. I don't shop there anymore.

Another reason to reconsider

Well they have disappointed again by sending ear buds with stickers all over the case. They aren’t apparently able to buy ones that come off clean so I am forced to try to get the 3 stickers on this case off without damaging the case plastic. Thanks again U.B.

Selling Lost/Stolen Electronic Devices

I purchased a Kindle reader from UnclaimedBaggage.com. However, after receiving the device, it was unusable. I contacted Amazon Kindle support and learned that the VIN was reported as a lost/stolen item, making it impossible to use. Unclaimed Baggage refused to give me a refund even after I mailed back the item. Extremely disappointed and would not recommend this site to anyone. Avoid purchasing electronics from them at all costs.
