I wouldn’t recommend starlink to anyone ! The terms and conditions ain’t favourable & fair . The customer service is very slow to respond and very ignorant too , when they do reply you it’s always the opposite from what you’ve asked them like they don’t even read your message . Plus I’ve got charged double for a kit that I already returned and sent back …

Awful internet

Awful internet. Family are Elon fans so naturally we have this godawful 5mbps (on a good day) WiFi. Crashes every day at 2.30am. Wouldn't even wish this WiFi on my worse enemy. If I could rate it 0 stars I would.

Appalling service

Appalling service. 4 days between responses and that's so far. An error on their part and I'm still waiting for not just for my order but a response. It's been well over a week now. Heartbreaking really. Maybe this will help get a response. But not feeling positive

Class

Ordered Monday, dish was delivered Friday. Setup in minutes to test and is flying.

I was testing the obstructions on the app in random places before it came and it was saying it wasn't a good location. Set the dish in the backyard a few feet from the house and it's working fine. Will install properly soon!

Have been without internet for months due to moving to a rural location and being let down by a fibre company. Should've ordered Starlink earlier.

Customer service is devilish..

Customer service is devilish...
I face a major problem trying to subscribe to a plan, my money is gone, no refund, unable to switch to the correct subscription plan, no answer from them ...
The service might be good, but the customer service is worst.

This is an email I sent to Starlink...

I first tried to order Starlink last Saturday morning.
As you are closed over the weekend, I contacted your sales team at 9am on Monday & I was advised to click the link on your website that says problem ordering & someone will contact you to place your order.
As soon as I put the phone down Monday morning, I completed the form on your website.  After not hearing anything for 2 days, I contacted your sales team again Wednesday morning.  Your colleague carried out some steps, this time on a Cromebook laptop & still, I couldn't place the order.  He said that he would raise a service ticket & someone would be in touch.  24 hours later, I still hadn't heard anything.
This level of service from a ISP is disgusting.  I can imagine my life with your company, my Internet goes down & I'm waiting 1-2 weeks for someone to contact me I don't think so.
You are charging people £75 a month for access to the Internet. Provide proper telephone technical support for your customers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I shouldn't have to tell a company how to run their business.
I will go to Vodafone, or Hutchingson 3G & get 5g Pay As You Go internet, who incidentally provide UK telephone technical support for their customers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Edit after reading these reviews wow I dodge a bullet the only place these cowboys belong is in a western on BBC2 With John Wayne hehe word of advice people NEVER AND I REPEAT NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM SCUMBAG TRASH COMPANIES LIKE THIS UNLESS IT'S ON A CREDIT CARD. IF YOU ARE IN THE UK, YOU ARE PROTECTED UNDER SECTION 75 OF THE CONSUMER CREDIT ACT 1974. IF YOU ARE OUTSIDE THE UK, CHECK WHAT/IF ANY PROTECTION YOU HAVE IN YOUR OWN COUNTRY. Been on starlink for 2 months

Been on starlink for 2 months now after bt broadband could only provide me 9mbps down and 1 up saying their guarantee service wasn't available to me any more moved over to starlink and regularly get over 350mbps down and 30 up but average is 220mbps down and 24 up. This is a massive improvement over bt and as I am in a very rural area open reach have told me I will never get full fibre. So starlink has solved all my problems. My neighbours are all in owe and some are looking to buy starlink now. This is in East sussex

Customer service is as exceptional as the system itself.

Excellent customer service provided by Starlink!

The system is a game changer for people living rurally where Ee and other providers have been offering slower and slower connection speed every year. (The Mars rover has faster internet than I do through Ee!)

I recently had a technical problem, and Starlink fixed it with speed, politeness and mutual trust, very impressed.

We moved into our property in March…

We moved into our property in March 2016 and the best broadband we could get was BT Copper Wire at 1 MBPS.

Since then we have invested a couple of thousands pounds in 4g broadband and two other conventional Satellite broadband providers which never worked correctly.

The conventional satellite broadband had huge lag issues so working from home was impossible as they also did not support VPN connections which I needed for work.
On average we got 6 MBPS for £95 per month and due to the lag streaming was impossible.

There is no conventional 4g signal available due to the ruralness where we live but we were convinced by another company that it would be accessible to us via an external high gain aerial.

Unfortunately service was very difficult and slow with lagging which meant no home working and as we have been waiting for a provider to install super fast cable broadband since 2016 and its still not here as various companies have gone bust I bit the bullet and signed up for Starlink.

I cant tell you how wonderful it is, Lag is non existent and its compatible with VPN for work so I can finally work from home 3 days a week after having to go into the office throughout COVID restrictions as I am classed as a key worker.

The slowest speeds are 70MBPS download, 35 upload and means we can stream and watch TV like normal people. As satellite provision is not available for SKY via a dish as there was no clear sight of the sky, I have signed up for a SKY Stream and its a game changer.

We had no other option and loved our house in the country but wished for better internet coverage and Starlink is worth every single penny.

The installation of two nodes was a breeze and on the two occasions I have had to contact customer services they came back to me within 24 hours which is acceptable as I am sure CS is not here in the UK.

For us we can only go by our experience which is outstanding.

Constantly drops all the time, no consistency.

All talk, no consistency. Sure it’s ok sometimes but it constantly drops and lags and feels like slow internet even though my download speed is supposedly ok most the time. It feels like bad WiFi, it just has a decent download speed. It is not worth the money whatsoever. It can load videos ok, takes a while to start sometimes, but if you want to search the web or click on different thing it is so terrible. It just doesn’t even work at all, all the time. I use Apple devices and their software has the least bugs, it is not my software, star link is terrible. They should charge a quarter of the price. Absolute rip off. I am getting normal WiFi. Probably better if you have no better option for your WiFi. Videos don’t buffer or anything because as your watching it your phone can load the video hiding the fact the WiFi randomly drops a lot. When I watched things download on my Xbox it would just randomly go 40 or sometimes even 80 megabytes per second to 0. It is so frustrating. It’s gone for a while and you are just wandering what the hell happened, closing apps, turning the WiFi off and on. For some reason you don’t get kicked out of game servers most the time, but it is so obvious the WiFi randomly drops for annoyingly long periods of time.

3 months into using Starlink and…

As of writing this review I’m 3 months into owning Starlink. I had TalkTalk broadband which gave me on a really good day up to 30 Mb/s but realistically I got 14-19Mb/s. That wasn’t the biggest issue. I would continually have to reset my router 2 to 3 times a day. It got to the point where I didn’t know what to do. I can’t get anything faster in my area and after initially reading the negative reviews on Starlink I taken the ‘risk’ and got it.

I have to admit it was the best decision I’ve made. I’ve had the Starlink satellite wall mounted on the side of my house and every speed test I do is consistently above 180 Mb/s and regularly goes above 200 Mb/s. I’ve had it as high as 250 Mb/s.

I’ve not had one single issue at all, it runs perfectly. I’ve now connected all my wireless devices (TV’s, Fire Stick’s, Alexa’s, Xbox, PS5, music streamer, phones, iPad, MacBook) and everything works just fine. I’ve had no dropouts and gaming on the PS5 has been perfectly fine with no lag or dropouts either.

I have to note that I’ve not dealt with Starlink customer service directly as I’ve had no issues (I’ve seen a few reviews complaining about that). However, from an ordering, setup, billing, app and daily use perspective it works great for me.

Based in Californiia Starlink are only…

Based in Californiia Starlink are only contactable via their website or mobile app, sending messages using this service is a nightmare and their response time is poor, replies are not always answered, and becomes a continous merry go round, it all started with a poor install and payments have been disputed over an ongoing six month period yet to resolve, in the meantime the challenge has been to find a reputable installer willing to take on a new installation from faulty equipment supplied by Starlink, the worst experience ever from supposedly a global reputable company...

I am in my 2nd month of Starlink and still exceedingly pleased.
We use it to take payments for our business at events where there is no 4g - Just plonk a pole next to the Gazebo - stick the aerial dish in and hey presto works like a dream.
Also use it for home, no chance of Fibre, Landline was never more than 2Mb, tried 4g and was promised 20 Mb, average turned out to be 6mb.
