Gorilla glue con

Gorilla glue

Over priced, over-rated and terrible customer service.

I’ve had 3 pots of this stuff that have all gone off after 1 use. At first I blamed myself for perhaps not storing correctly ( although it was literally in a cupboard at home) the 2nd and 3rd time it was stored correctly. I have contacted customer services and sent them the serial numbers and barcode and they have responded that the product was manufactured in 2023 and past its “ 2 year shelf life”. I bought this in 2025 from B & Q ( so you’d expect good turnover of stock). There is no where on the product that I can see that advises its manufacture date nor use by date ( 2 year life apparently )
They also then said once opened the product lasts 6/9 months only and if stored correctly ( it was- follows the instructions). My had only been opened in September and was rock hard by December.

Very unacceptable response from customer services trying to blame the customer.

Needless to say I won’t be buying this product again and will endeavour not to purchase anything from the manufacturer either. Absolute con!

Over rated and massively overpriced…

Over rated and massively overpriced rubbish. The double sided tape at £8.99 for a small roll is a rip off. The tape is difficult to remove the film and it wont hold a toilet roll holder on clean plastic trim for any reasonable length of time. You can buy cheaper alternatives online and in garden centers.

This should teach us all that massive…

This should teach us all that massive PR product campaigns is a sign of a useless product that has nothing to sell itself. If you want to waste an hour of your life getting glue smears everywhere while desperatly holding 2 pieces together in the hope they might not come apart the moment you try to unstick your fingers, then congratulations - this brand is for you. Personally, it's the first and last time I buy any gorilla product.

Awful pointless garbage.

Promotes ultra strong stick “even underwater”. Well try to stick this stuff to some clean, dry uPVC and you will discover you’d be better off trying to stick your Xmas decs up with Christmas spirit. Utter rubbish stuff

Not a multi surface product

Tried using to stick four cloth pads to wooden leg of a sofa. Absolutely useless.
After following instructions assiduously the pads came off. Tried twice same result.
Claims for this product do not match actual quality. Works on some surfaces but completely useless as a super glue

This company could improve by having a responsive Customer Care department. They dot even have a manned phone number in the UK. The clear tape does not stick to itself or stick when going around corners. It has caused me many return visits to my projects with an alternative. Massively disappointed with the company and its products.

Gorilla Handy Roll Gorilla Tape Black 9m x 25mm Absolutely the best tape in the world!

Today’s the day for reviewing my Gorilla Handy Roll Gorilla Tape Black 9m x 25mm £3 currently from Asda. 4 years ago the rubber on my suitcase wheel shredded off leaving only the small plastic roller. Contacted TRIPP for a new wheel but they refused as I had lost the receipt. I bought the product above and tore the tape in half down the middle and reconstructed a wheel around the same size 12.5mm 4 years later and it’s been in all weathers terrains, cobbles, grates basically everything that the world can throw at it and carrying up to 30kg of luggage it is still untouched and currently I’m at Disneyland Paris waiting with the case and my carry on while the Mrs and son get some last minute rides in. Used frequently on holidays throughout the year. Shout out to the company and the best tape in the world. 4 years without touching it and many more to go! Testament to what this tape can do. Exactly what it says on the packaging. Would love to send a picture but it won’t let me! I will try a google review too!

Poor product, terrible customer service.

I only put 1 star because 0 wasn’t available.
Crystal Clear tape doesn’t work & the Gorilla Adhesive company are not good to deal with.
They will waste your time asking a raft of questions then blame you for poor quality of their products.
I note the poor reviews generally for this company’s products and wonder why anyone wastes their money.
I advise against purchasing the products, as they won’t work and the company will refuse to acknowledge the failings or offer post customer care of any worth.

The glue that doesn't stick

Small plastic ornament broken. Used Gorilla Glue as instructed on packaging, including clamping time. Completely useless product. It is now in the bin, with the knowledge it won't stick to anything.

Bought the Gorilla glue extreme weather for some some holes on the deck of our boat.
Put on in dry conditions, crap adhesive quality, pulled the clear underside off & thought to myself, this ain't gonna stick to anything & next day after heavy rain, yep you guessed it, still leaking.
2 layers of cheap gaffa tape fixed it.
This tape was £22 for 3metres, gaffa tape was £5 for 30metres.
Experience was not great & will never buy or recommend this crap to anyone.

Using the Gorilla superglue

Using the Gorilla superglue to glue a piece of plastic that had broken off something. Just useless - seems to have virtually no adhesive properties. I held it in position for about 15 seconds and it immediately fell off after I let go.
It isn't the first time I've tried gluing simple things together with Gorilla superglue and it hasn't worked.

Gorilla is the best there is!

When I need glue, I go to Gorilla. Their products always have a super strong hold and have no run so that when you glue on a vertical surface, the glue doesn’t drip down your working area. I have used other glue brands before but none have compared to Gorilla. 5 stars.

Expensive Junk

Expensive junk. Not a particularly good super-glue and like others have said, I put it back in the drawer, fully-sealed and when I took it out to use again, it was rock solid.

The packs they sell at Poundland, containing five tubes are much better quality and whilst they too, have a habit of setting, at least you're only 20p down, so save your money.
