A horrible company which blocked my own…
A horrible company which blocked my own account because their website had an error. Due to the blockage, I was unable to sell my shares and realize gains! You need to call them and wait another 48 hours. I have had experience with many brokers and UBS is the worst of them all!!!
Horrible telephone service when reporting card fraud
Absolutely unacceptable service when using card hotline, waiting 3 time 50 minutes in the line with still no answer when trying to report credit card fraud.
Useless service !
Trying to access the Ebanking proved to be impossible ! Despite being sent a new PIN by post to the UK was unable to access the banking app. Wasted time, expensive waiting time on my UK mobile managed to speak to the banking advisor eventually but cut off again. Call back failed. Use another Swiss bank folks. This one wastes your time and doesn’t succeed to increase your investment even !

It's a good bank
It's a good bank. I got good financing for one of my biggest projects. I love it! Thank you!
Setting up online banking.
I went into the UBS Geneva Rue de la Confederation branch on 15/8/24 to discuss setting up online banking so that I could access my Swiss accounts from my home in the UK. The customer service agent that attended to me could not have been more helpful. He explained the steps I needed to take, he completed all the paperwork that was needed leaving me with just having to sign the documents.
The necessary user information and set up pin codes where at my home in the UK within a couple of days. Great service and so helpful.
SHAME ON YOU BIG MR. BANKER MAN
My personal Wealth Management Officer [Robert Cicero] took ABSOLUTE and COMPLETE advantage of my young, naive and mourning self, who lacked any knowledge whatsoever of what I had inherited. He might as well have encouraged me to burn through it, and never even bothered to meet with me in person ONE TIME to put in place some sort of plan. I sincerely hope he goes to hell and does not come back, which I am confident will happen. Karma will prevail, Mr. Cicero - This I know.
Horrible experience, "client advisor" plays against client
Horrible experience! I have been an international, loyal customer of UBS Switzerland for almost 15 years, which includes a savings account in CHF, another savings account in Euros, and 3 Mandate investments (Yield, US stocks, and European stocks). 10 days ago I received an awful "letter of termination" through the internal messaging system, which I also received via courier yesterday. I am deeply shocked and surprised as a few months ago I had an extensive phone conversation with my "client advisor" K. S., in which we mutually agreed in a long term investment relationship and she was very glad for that. Then I expressed my purpose of keeping my investments till retirement age. But a few days ago the atrocity took place and the "termination letter" is signed by my "client advisor" K. S... as well as by an "authorized officer" (sic) S. A. The contradiction is so strong as my "client advisor" signs as "Associate Director". Really abominable and dreadful, is this the excellence of the Swiss banks? UBS went downhill evidently. The pathetic letter has no mention to the reason for wanting to terminate my business relationship. I claimed for that and am still waiting. The ugly letter also mentions a deadline for the intended closure and withdrawals of funds: November 26, 2023, a Sunday!!!
Ater a claim "answered" negatively by my "client advisor" and... Associate Director K. S. I submitted a complaint to the UBS Complaints Handling Unit and they should respond no later than November 9, 2023.
It is to point out that I want to maintain my business relationship with UBS or -at least- have an extended deadline as 2 of the Mandates have a negative balance, less than the capital invested so I could make withdrawals when they reach a profit. I am dumbfounded to see that my "client advisor" K. S. does not seem to defend me, she should fight for having me remaining as a client as that supposedly increases her score as employee.
disgusting treatment of a widowed mother of a minor child
Refused to speak to me about the mortgage my deceased partner held on our home. Eventually sent receivers in costing me and my 2.5 year old child hundreds of thousands in fees. When we stated the same to the receivers the 'receivers' stated I had had every opportunity to redeem the loan at the date of default. Not true.
Horror experience of the most expensive…
Horror experience of the most expensive bank in Switzerland.
Airline ticket was purchased fradulently on our credit card. Beats me why no 2factor verification needed for an over 2,000 CHF charge but i have to do for a 4.99 CHF TGTG order??
Reported it in 2 mins charge was made to the card. 2 mos later they reversed the credit as the ticket was used??? Cannot make it up. Obviously, our next call us to the police cybercrime investigation and iur legal insurance.
UBS response ‘you cannot do 2FV on credit card charges’ wth???
Do not ever use them - stone ages bank and procedures for the highest bank fee privileges.
lazy and complacent
UBS has become lazy and complacent in Switzerland, along with every other oligopoly here. It's services are "fine" but no better - why? Because they don't need to be, there's really not much competition here in Switzerland.
Shockingly rude and unhelpful woman on…
Shockingly rude and unhelpful woman on their UK customer services 'helpline'. I've never had anything like it. Appalling people skills.
We have been investing with UBS for…
We have been investing with UBS for years, and until a few years ago felt we had good service and were given annual reviews of our funds by a caring team. However all that has changed. We have now been literally kicked out, told to move our funds elsewhere, sent a letter which doesn't really make sense. I have sent an email with queries, as I need clarification before I proceed -as yet I have received no reply. We are very disappointed.
Unacceptable processing time
I chose UBS to open a Capital Payment account for my new company. The company has been registered for 5 weeks now, and they still haven’t opened a bank account and released the funds. Despite many calls and emails, these guys just don’t care at all. HORRIBLE experience. I chose UBS because the Capital Payment account was free (compared to ~CHF 200 in other banks) but this was a big mistake.
Totally unacceptable to block their customers money over such a long period of time. Now I have bills to pay but no funds to do it.
Absolute Horror!
Absolute Horror!
Fraud was acknowledged but still listed on the next credit card invoice.
If I have to pay it it's now unclear. I definitely NOT pay for this. I was 30 minutes in the call queue and the women was completely unable to answer my simple questions. 3D Secure is a completely unsafe and not usefull security mechanism as it seems because shopify support this. I'm not even a customer! Maybe I quit everything from UBS. It depends how they decide in this case.
This is how they respond to emails…
This is how they respond to emails "Dear Participant,
Thank you for your recent inquiry."
They can't even answer questions and then tell you if you have any further questions to email the same email address? Awful customer service. I will be moving all of my assets away from UBS.
How bad is UBS as a bank ?
How bad is UBS as a bank ?
I wrote to UBS to cancel my travel insurance. They claimed to have not received the letter, and charged me for another year.
I wrote to UBS to cancel my Gold credit cards. They claimed to have not received the letter, and charged me for another year.
I told them to stop charging me 2 CHF per month for the option to use other bank's ATMs... and instead, they cancelled my entire UBS Me banking package, and then charged me 50 CHF for having a Debit Card.
When I telephoned them to complain, they called me back, said they'd read all of my messages between my UBS Client Advisor and myself through their website, but refused to answer one simple question:
"Did I *ask you* to cancel my UBS Me account ? Did I ask you to do that ?" Refused to answer.
"Did UBS make a mistake? Did they ?" Refused to answer.
And finally, I closed my UBS Pension, Savings account and bank account, they confirmed they'd starting the process to close the account....
When I chased this up 8 days later, they admitted there'd been a "technical fault", and it hadn't happened. They aren't even capable of CLOSING a bank account, let alone running one honestly.
And how did UBS respond when they realised they had kept my account open for an extra 8 days (and telling me they'd kick off the process to close it) ? Compensation ? An apology ?
No. They just charged me additional banking fees for my account remaining open for those days, due to their own technical problem.
Stay away from UBS. Their customer service is beyond belief and they completely refuse to admit when they've made a mistake.
ZKB offers a similar banking package, with no monthly fee, and decent customer service.

ubs is the worst service ever ever i will never buy from them.

UBS is the worst bank with exceptionally bad customer service customer service
The customer service at UBS is so bad that I would advise new customers not to join this bank.
I was shocked recently to find out that UBS had taken CHF 600 from my interest free account and when I completed a complaint form for them to return my money, they have not even bothered to acknowledge receipt of my complaint. I registered a complaint after trying to go through their banking App/call center which is also full of arrogant call centre employees who feel the customer is a nuisance and they can speak or write to them in any way they like. UBS is very interested in bank charges and religiously takes money from customer accounts without informing the customer. I guess Swiss laws allow them to be rude to their customer and operate with impunity with no penalties or consequences. In the US a bank needs to worry about its reputation and therefore customer satisfaction is essential but obviously, UBS-CH doesn't have to because they have guaranteed money from rip off bank charges from customer accounts. If I don't hear from UBS management in the next few weeks, I will go to the Swiss banking ombudsman and also publicize this issue worldwide. I am very very dis appointed with UBS as a bank that thinks good customer service is not important.
Incredibly bad service
Incredibly bad service. They didn't let me cancel my bank account and card until my dues were paid. Then followed up with charging me for a full months of service after I transferred the money 5 days into the new calendar month. UBS will charge you 32$ if you live outside of the country. I do not recommend their services.
