I made a mistake believing this would…
I made a mistake believing this would be a good service.
I ordered using the app at 4pm with a scheduled delivery time of 7pm. The app was showing the driver was only 7 minutes away but they were not moving. I tried to message the driver and call the driver but there was no response.
The order had been picked up 80 minutes prior and when I contacted uber eats they could not confirm where the driver actually was even after the order being over an hour late.
Absolutely pathetic service.
Do not use….ever.

Impossible to write a review
Trying to write a review of a recent delivery is impossible, there is nowhere to do this, how they can have star reviews when it’s impossible to write one is beyond me. I didn’t really want to contact the seller, just tell others what to expect.

I would put one star, The very first time I have ordered from Uber eats, I ordered a chicken for dinner, I added diet coke as a filler... the very nice delivery man arrived with diet coke, and no chicken, he was apologetic.... I cannot believe what just happened, why would I pay £11 for diet coke, I am genuinely flabberguasted, do NOT trust Uber eats
Fraudulent practices, zero accountability
Uber Eats has basically rigged their app to make sure you never get a refund for undelivered or incorrect orders. My driver dumped my £26 order at a random spot and ignored every instruction I left. Trying to get help was the real nightmare. The app is just a maze of bots and dead-end phone lines designed to make you give up.
When I finally managed to reach (presumably) a human, they told me I’d have to contact their headquarters in the Netherlands to get a refund for my undelivered order having declined my demands three times without referring in any way to the facts I relayed in the chat.
It’s a total scam that preys on anyone who isn't tech-savvy enough to fight through their "support" loops. I'm escalating this o Citizens Advice and I strongly urge everyone here to do the same as seeing the reviews, there is clearly a pattern of behaviour designed to extort money from consumers and additionally, prey on anyone with low digital literacy or any sort of vulnerability.
It's absolutely disgusting. How is this legal?

I wish I had read the reviews before using Uber Eats! Having just used this for the first time I ordered some groceries as I’m not a takeaway fan, just to use up a voucher I had been given. Most of my order was for shower gel. I received a message to say they had substituted the shower gel I had ordered for the same shower gel of the same size but a different scent which I was not too bothered about. However, having checked my receipt the next day the shower gel was 3.5 times more expensive than what I had originally ordered and they had. charged an additional £19 on. to by debit card. I raised this issue with customer service they claim that I agreed to the product substitution, but there was no option to agree or reject at the point of being notified of this. And there is no way I would buy the world's most expensive Dove shower gel! Their customer service is only online chat and they are not responding to my messages any longer, I literally feel like I’ve been scammed. Will raise the issue with my bank and then close and delete both my Uber apps just amazed such a big name like Uber does these kind of things.
zero rating service
I gave them zero stars. There were delivery issues and food quality problems but no one listened after I raised them multiple times. They charge various fees like platform fees but don’t provide the promised services or even address your concerns. One time the food arrived late and we were starving but the driver refused to come.
The uber one membership is quite good
The uber one membership is quite good, they give you special offers and i ended up saving total of £38 on orders. I would recommend it... they give free trials which are fairly easy to cancel.
Boycott this company
Boycott this company. You have missing items in your orde, and instead of refunding you for the item. You get less than 33% of what it costed. The chat bot blocks any further messages, and there is no other way to get in contact with them
Had a terrible experience with uber…
Had a terrible experience with uber eats. Order pizza that never arrived, no way to contact support other than pretty much complain about rape, and only a message saying you have been refunded for something that was never delivered and the restaurant said they were not even signed up to the platform!!
Unjustified retention of money despite cancelled order.
Restaurant cancelled an order we made through Uber Eats, and Uber Eats refused to refund us. Uber Eats provided no justification as to why the refund was refused, and we're not talking a couple of quid.

Would be a 0 star. Ordered via uber eats for McDonald's totally wrong Ordered received then have the audacity to only refund me £29 when I spent over £40. Rang uber driver and he put the phone down. Disgraceful
Extremely Frustrating and Unprofessional Service
Uber Eats customer service has been extremely poor and disappointing. My account was suspended because there was a delay in submitting some required documents. I submitted all the requested documents, and they were approved by Uber Eats. However, despite this approval and despite sending many reminders over the past several days, my account is still not activated.
What makes the situation worse is the terrible customer service. Every time I contact support, I receive the exact same copied and pasted response: “Your account will be activated soon.” No one seems to actually read my inquiries or understand the urgency of the issue, even though I have clearly requested immediate activation since all documents have already been accepted.
It feels like these agents are not investigating customer concerns at all — they simply send pre-written template replies and repeat them like parrots without providing any real help or solution. This level of service is frustrating, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable.

Don’t expect a refund for issues they are at fault for
I experienced an issue with a couple of overcharges, which they suggested their technical team would need to look at. They don’t respond for ages, likely in the hope that you’ll forget about your query. Then closes my message with them with a lame excuse about minimising threads to avoid duplication, when this was the only chat thread a had with them for on this. I think GREED has got the better of Uber Eats, they only want to grab your money and run.

London based review. I’ve spent thousands over the past few years on uber eats but recently I’ve been tracking riders and they get close to my address and mark as delivered without my receiving any food. Theft. The first time was annoying but this is the second time and I’m done with it. Takes too long to get a refund. I’ve also been tolerating “woman drivers” turning up as 60 year old men for too long. Do yourselves a favour, either cook at home or collect.

scum bag company who do not care one bit about the customer or the restaurant. Trying to contact them about a problem that 9 times out of 10 is their fault is impossible. The world would be a much nicer place without these money grabbing companies exploiting hard work folk
UBER EATS - THE WORST!
This delivery service is absolutely rubbish! Couriers steal food and mark it as delivered. Then Uber Eats refuses to process a refund claiming the courier waited five minutes, not leaving food at the door or taking any pics but taking the food at home. In Australia, they even respond to such queries as a joke!
Any other food delivery app is better than Uber Eats.

Food arrived cold and ice was melted. The place was down the road. I was just too ill to go myself Driver was very apologetic but said Uber had locked him out his account and that why he was late. Uber wouldn't refund because it was within the allowed time frame.

I ordered a £41 order , they forgot 5 of my items and i sent them multiple emails complaining and sending proof and they refused to send a refund! Their customer service is awful , just kept sending automated responses and didnt even bother , a joke!
