Non existent shipping regulations
I was ordering a foam dart blaster and below it says the price, shipping fee as well as some regular things you will expect to see from an ordinary product. I purchased it then 2 hours later I received a message saying the blaster is unable to be shipped to NZ. I then checked the website again and that specific blaster was no longer available. In Ubuy’s reply it regarded some “shipping regulations preventing the product being shipped” why didn’t it say so in the first place ?! I then sent an email requesting a detailed explanation. A day later, they reply with absolute crap, apologizing and repeating their previous message, saying a specific law it preventing blah blah blah blah. It’s a goddamn foam blaster and after research there were clear or specific NZ laws against foam dart blasters. The website as well, did not say anything about the “specific shipping regulations” and updated after I bought the product. Now I’ll have to wait 10 days to get my refund. Do not expect any proper response with clear explanation it you ever have a problem with Ubuy.

We understand your concern about why the product appeared available when you placed your order but was later cancelled.
After your order was placed, our compliance and shipping verification process determined that the product could not be shipped to New Zealand. Although it is marketed as a foam dart blaster, this particular model has specifications (including its high projectile velocity) that cause it to be treated as a restricted toy weapon by our shipping partners and import compliance team. As a result, we are unable to export or deliver this item to New Zealand.
We also apologize if our earlier responses did not provide sufficient clarity. That was not the experience we intended to provide, and we appreciate your feedback as it helps us improve our communication.
We sincerely regret the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

Was made aware of each step in the processing of my order. The website provided proof of extra tax fees I had to pay from my own country NOT of their charge. Customer support was swift. Kept up to date right up until an hour to delivery and overall very happy with the service I received.

Order process straightforward, no issues.
Product delivered as ordered and ahead of time according to the tracking information supplied.
Only complaint is the exorbitant DHL freight costs that were 50% of the price of the product !!
