I recently bought a packet of Tyrrells crisps and was shocked to find what appears to be a large insect inside, after I had already eaten most of the bag. I have kept it as evidence.

While I understand that mistakes can happen in food production, this is a serious concern. Insects can carry bacteria, and it’s worrying to think how easily this could pose a health risk.

I will be contacting the relevant authorities so this can be properly investigated, and I hope the company will review their processes to make sure this never happens again.

This has been very upsetting, and I think customers deserve to be aware of it.

I contacted customer support on a web form asking about the recyclability of their older packaging. They emailed me (from a no-reply email address) a canned response containing loads of information I didn't ask for and not actually answering my question.
