Had a new tyre fitted to my BMW on the 2nd October and noticed over the next few weeks there was a slight loss of pressure compared to the other tyres. At first I put it down to hitting the odd pothole, but having just checked them again I found that it had dropped 0.4 bar in three weeks while the other tyres stayed constant. Phoned support as by now I'm convinced it's a fault, and I was told that there's only a 30 day warranty on the tyres unless you pay them more money for an extended warranty. Admittedly it was probably in the small print but 30 days to detect a slow fault like a leaking valve is completely inadequate. Needless to say I'm not going to be using them again.

Outstanding Service from Halfords Tyres on the Drive!
I recently had Halfords Tyres on the Drive come to my home for a tyre fitting and had an exceptional experience. From the moment Ryan arrived, he was friendly and efficient.
Ryan was extremely knowledgeable and professional. He ensured that the tyres were fitted perfectly and took the time to explain the whole process to me. His attention to detail and dedication to quality work truly stood out.
The entire process was quick and seamless, and I felt confident driving away with my new tyres. The pricing was also very reasonable for the high level of service provided.
Overall, Halfords Tyres on the Drive exceeded my expectations, and I will definitely be using their service again for any future tyre needs. Highly recommend Ryan and the rest of the team for their top-notch service!
Driver reversed onto my lawn & got stuck
Had 2 tyres fitted recently. Actual process was fine, but the technician struggled to reverse up my drive on the way out. Instead of coming back to the house and asking me to move my car so he could turn round, he reversed his heavy, long wheel base van onto my lawn.
Obviously, it got stuck. He proceeded to spin his wheels for 20 minutes, digging in deeper, until I spotted him.
I spent an hour trying to help him get out (when I should have been working), and failed. He had no plan, other than asking if I knew anyone with a 4x4 who could pull him out.
Eventually I reluctantly rang a local farmer, who very kindly interrupted his working day and arrived with a tractor.
Reported to Halfords, they offered to refund 10% of my order, so in this case £18. I said I'd like something to compensate the farmer, but they've stuck to £18, and said to ask him to send an invoice and they will consider it. What a waste of everyone's time.
£18 is not enough 'goodwill' for damaging my lawn, wasting over an hour of my working day (plus more to repair the lawn), and wasting the time of the farmer.
If I'd made him ring his own recovery service it would have cost Halfords a LOT less than £18 in time and lost business for the rest of the afternoon.
So the moral of the tale is don't use Tyres on the Drive, and if you do and they get stuck, make them ring their own recovery service!

No show after 5.5 hours wait
Booked to have a dash cam fitted. Slot was from 8am-8pm. Waited in and got a call at 1.30pm telling me it's going to have to be rescheduled because of the wet weather. It wasn't even raining at that point. When someone from the office phoned me I expressed how unhappy I was that I'd wasted a day at home and they just said they can cancel it then. Awful service will never use Halfords again.

Impossible to get hold of anyone when there's an issue. AI telling me there's no operative available. Email not replied to, no one picks up the phone. I'm left with my local car garage trying to fix my tyre issue after TOTD's visit, telling me they've installed a duff tyre not rolling properly. Happy days. Heading elsewhere next time. Really poor service....

You may get a reply from 'Olivia' well I do not know if Olivia is a person or not? Olivia should realise that the 'Management' she refers to seem not to pay attention to Olivia requests, really the whole process is an insult to all users and all involved. There is no apology from Management or offer of compensation for your 'Inconvenience'.Sad really.
Avoid! The office doesn't do their job! and technician only waiting for 10mins!
I got tyre puncture at 11th and booked a earliest mobile fitting service at 13th morning. I called Halfords office at 12th morning to confirm that the technician must contact me 20-30mins before his arrival and explained the car location is different from my home address so I need extra time to get there. The office promised to pass the note to technician. And on the 13th I had the whole morning off just waiting for the service. The call came and asked where is your car? Obviously the technician has arrived and called me from there, I didn't expect that because all the notifications from emails and texts mentioned "We will give you a call when we are on the way" also I confirmed with office as well in advance. I told him to wait for me 20mins because I have to cycle there and explained the reason. And on the way I was keeping calling him to wait for me. When I arrived to my car within 20mins no one was there! The technician only waited 10mins and left straight away! I called the office again they said their technician can only wait 15mins. And office totally ignored the "We will give you a call when we are on the way" promise and my confirmation call. Totally waste of my time and effort as they ignore you, won't call you in advance and won't wait for you!
Terrible
After choosing a more expensive tyre to get it fitted next day as stated, I actually had to wait an extra day before an appointment could be made. On the day they cancelled so I requested a refund. Three days later I received an invoice for the “completed job”. I then had to chase them for a refund that should have been processed 3 days before, the wait a further 3 days for my actual refund. Would rather take the bus than use them again!

Fantastic service.2nd time I’ve had these people out & they are amazing.great service. Thanks
TOTD used to be great but what a shame Halfords bought them
Used Tyres on the drive many times pre Halfords - great company with a true customer focus. What a shame Halfords bought them. With TOTD I used to get an acknowledgement with tracking that worked, a mail and text to tell me what time the fitter was due (e.g. 4 to 6pm) which helped me plan my day and great customer service. This time - a mail with a receipt in Euro's, your appointment is confirmed generic statement and a tracking link that held no data throughout the day. No idea what time the fitter was due to arrive or even if he was coming - he phoned at 6pm and arrived about 6.20pm with us having waited in all day. The fitter himself (Charlie) was a lovely lad but overall this service was rubbish in terms of customer focus and communication. Checked a local tyre fitter and the same tyres would have been £30 cheaper for the pair so will be using them in future.

Used to be great before Halfords
Used to be great before Halfords.
Trying to buy two pairs of different tyres impossible .
Went for one pair in the end. Payment taken but zero order confirmation.
Tried using the chat service and after jumping through hoops I get told no ones available.
So I'm now £435.36 down with zero to show.

Used to be very Good, not now
Tried to order 2 New Michelin Primacy 225/50 R18 99W. (Got 4 on already) but according to TOD and their parent company, Halfords, these cannot be fitted to partners Mini. Oddly the Mini Main dealer has quoted to fit them and confirmed that they are on my car.? I have used TOD quite a bit in the past and rated them highly. I should have known that once halfords were involved it would be a farce. Oh, and the virtual assistant is a complete waste of time, you would get better support banging your head against a brick wall

Service deterioration
Used to be an excellent service when functioning under their own identity. Now, impossible to contact once work has been done as they have been subsumed within the Halfords umbrella. One of the tyres I have recently had fitted is losing air constantly, but I have got nowhere with Halfords.
The Virtual Assistant provides zero assistance, and if I persist, I am offered the opportunity to chat to a human, immediately followed by:
"We're really sorry, there are no agents available at the moment. You can find other ways to get in touch at our Help Centre: help.halfords.com
Please note, our Chat opening times are 08:00-22:00 Monday-Sunday"
(Regardless of time of day)

An absolutely dreadful experience
An absolutely dreadful experience. I bought and paid for two tyres to be fitted to my Ford Kuga on my driveway. The guy that came out said that he couldn’t fit my new tyres because the wheel nuts were swollen and he didn’t have the right sized tool to remove them. He said this was a known and common problem with Ford cars. If that’s the case then don’t accept the job unless you have the right tool on your van to complete it! You had my registration number and knew the make, model and age of my car so this could have been anticipated!
The guy gave the impression that he couldn’t really be bothered to do the job so was making excuses. He just left my two tyres on my driveway and drove off without either an apology or a goodbye. He didn’t seem to care at all that I was left without a useable car, extremely stressed, with two young children to get to school the next day and no way of getting them there.
I had to take the car to my local garage the following day and pay them an additional nearly £100 to get the wheel nuts replaced and the tyres fitted. They said the Halfords guy had messed them up by trying to remove them with the incorrect tool.

Badly balanced tyres
Tyre fitter arrived and called to say he was outside. Changed 3 tyres. 2 on my car one on the wife's. No problem with his service. However, I drove the car from London to Medway today. I noticed a vibration from the front up around 60mph. Checked the tyre pressures before we left. They were OK. Checked again with TMPS all ok. Looked at the wheels when I got to my destination, noticed the n/s front had only two weights on the inside compared to the o/s front that had 9 weights. Rang the customer support to tell then this. Couldn't get anyone out today SUNDAY 22nd Sep or Monday 23rd. Only time they could get someone out was Tuesday. Explained that I was away with work from Monday to Friday so needed it sorted straight away. Halfords wasn't interested that i was working all week only saying we can book you in for Tuesday. Didnt even ask wherr the car will be in the week... Ended up going to a local independent tyre repair to get the wheels balanced properly at a cost of £20. So I ended up paying over £250 for a service that didn't do the job right. Will not be using Halfords auto centre or services again. Shocking service

I've used Halfords home tyre…
I've used Halfords home tyre replacement service a few times. First time was okay although they did cancel the appointment on the day with little notice but arrived the next day and all was okay.
Second time using them the fitter decided not to replace the tyre valves. The tyres being replaced were old and their valves corroded and worn. This car is used by my disabled son who went out to drive it two days later and trying to move the car off the drive found that the brand new tyre was completely flat.
We called Halfords who were very good at arranging a fitter to come back next day. They told me at this point it sounded like a valve issue. I walked out to the car and this is the first point I noted that neither of the new tyres fitted had their valves replaced. You could see the valves were old with corrosion on the tips. I don't know much about tyres but replacing one must be replacing two parts, a tyre and a valve. If you forget 50% of the job it worries me. Especially as this was extremely dangerous as we live on a 60mph road and I hate to think what would have happened if my son pulled out into the road and the tyre came off.
Valves must cost maybe £1 to replace so I can only think down to incompetence that this was missed. I called Halfords and they agreed that they should have been replaced but on the revisit only one valve was listed to be replaced. Thankfully the other fitter agreed to replace both and since then all seems to be fine. He looked over the deflated tyre and said there was nothing else he expected caused the flat other than the valve which definitely should have been replaced.
My advice, although Halfords (also part of National tyres) were cheapest I would pay a bit more and go elsewhere. Never had this issue ever before and had many tyres fitted over the years. To clarify these were premium Goodyear tyres but nothing negative about the tyre as used them for many years.
Sorry but I cannot recommend Halfords tyre fitting and will never use again.

Took my order for fitting next day. Then rang me in the morning the next day to say their machine wouldn’t fit my size. No alternate help offered. You’re on your own with this lot
