Illegal return fees on untouched goods in original packaging

I bought an item online from Tuning Developments and returned it straight away. The part was untouched in its original box and in perfect A1 condition. The company still tried to keep £32 of my money as a return fee.

This policy is illegal in the UK. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, traders must give you a full refund when you return goods bought online within fourteen days. They are breaking consumer law by trying to deduct a £32 charge.

I only got the fee down to £0 because I bought the item through Klarna and disputed the charge. If I had paid directly with a bank card, I would have lost my money. Keep your money safe and shop with a retailer who follows the law.

Toyota GT86 Engine replacement

I recently took my Toyota GT86 to Tuning Developments for a used engine replacement, a new clutch fitting, and the NA Performance Tuning Package, and I couldn’t be happier with the service and results. Mike was professional, knowledgeable, and kept me updated throughout the whole process. Everything was completed to a really high standard and the car now drives brilliantly — smoother, more responsive, and far more enjoyable to drive. The NA package has completely removed the torque dip and even improved the MPG, which was a really nice bonus. It’s clear Mike really knows these cars inside and out. As a great extra touch, he even cleaned the car before handing it back. I’d definitely recommend Tuning Developments to anyone looking for GT86/BRZ specialists or performance work.
