My front break discs kept warping on my Mercedes E300 within 2 months of replacing them. Initially went to Mercedes-Benz to get a diagnostic because previous mechanics had no idea what it could be.

Mercedes told me that my front two wheels were refurbished badly, that the inside of the wheels were not smooth anymore? Felt weird since when I asked them to tell me how they came to that conclusion I got no proper explanation. Didn't get a repair quote but a wheel on this car is £1000 each.

I called The Smart Repair Center as I saw they do both wheel refurb and mechanical repairs. They we're really nice from the start, really supportive and I got my car in for a diagnostic. To be fair, they initially didn't get the cause of the issue and my breaks warped again, but once I went back to them, they found the actual issue which was warped wheel hubs (very uncommon issue and hard to diagnose) and after a new set of discs(at no extra cost) the issue is now gone, been 6 months and my breaks didn't warp again!! They even were very supportive with my stubborn extended warranty provider which didn't initially want to replace the wheel hubs on my claim, but The Smart Repair Center helped me to make it happen.

All in all, if I went with the Mercedes Benz dealer mechanic, I would've had to replace my wheels, then probably go back to them 100 times before they maybe would've found the issue. Since their crap diagnostic I won a Motor Ombudsman case against them.

The Smart Repair Center have solved me a problem that other mechanics had no idea what it could be, with fair prices on labour and parts and ongoing support with my extender warranty company. I can't recommend them enough, so please be assured their high ratings on trustpilot and google are true.

Avoid main dealers mechanics, they really seem that they don't know what they are doing. Come to these guys and they will sort you our proper.

Very professional company and friendly team. The paintless dent repair carried out by Mark was perfect - I honestly thought I was going end up having to have a full respray but I didn't need to as Mark worked his magic! Highly recommend.

Really friendly and helpful staff. They were able to fit in around when suited us to do the work and did the work in the timescale they gave us. Quick and efficient, reasonably priced - I would definitely use again.

Scott and the team are great! They're absolute specialists and even though I've used their service first time I'd definitely go back again. They did amazing job with my Volvo and I couldn't be happier. Really good communication and open and honest and prices, which by the way are very reasonable.

Had my car done at Smart Repair Centre and I’m really happy with the result! George did an amazing job on the wheels, and Leo fixed all the stone marks and painted the bumper perfectly. Jake was super friendly and helpful from the start, really professional too. Big thanks to Ash, the Porsche specialist, who answered all my questions and was really nice.

The price was very fair, and the car looks really nice! Highly recommend these guys I will definitely come back! Happy to finally find a nice and friendly garage in Colchester

Fantastic Service! These guys know their stuff! They had my Van in for a DPF issue. They managed to clean it out and found out what was causing it to block! Other garages automatically quoted for a replacement but it wasn't needed! Life Savers!!

I have recently visited the Smart Repair Centre with a cracked wheel following a collision with another major pothole in the Colchester area. The staff could not have been more helpful and they did all they could to make the process smooth and cost effective. I am delighted with the service provided and can thoroughly recommend this as an outstanding professional company that the customer can trust.

poor service, they match the colour however, paint work patchy and handed back with trimming not put back as it was before. I politely and clearly explained the issues and gave them every opportunity to put right. I gave up after taking it back 2 times.
