The absolute worst! An expensive item was out of stock and they did not deliver. Instead of automatically providing a refund, I had to chase them for two months. When I was finally able to talk to someone, they said it had been too long to get a refund, so I then filed a complaint with the BBB. It took them OVER A YEAR to respond!

Sms spam. I have never reached out or requested anything from this company.
I am sure there are more reputable companies to to business with.
Refund: Extremely difficult to none at all
4 pizzas and delivered stacked on their sides instead of flat...completely ruined and inedible. I was asked to upload pictures and wait for Special Review team in 3 hours. I contacted DD now for the 6th time. Waiting for an $80 refund. I have been hung up on, disconnected via chat several times, told someone would call me resolve in 3 hours, 1 hour, 24 hours, 3 hours, and now we are almost 48 hours and they told me another 24 hours for a resolution.
edit* 72 hours later I was told I will only receive a $15 store credit. Caviar was reputable but after being purchased by Doordash I will never spend money with them again.

How can you improve let's start by refunding money immediately when you can't or don't deliver and lie and say you did order was completed give the customer back their money immediately

I got an order of 3 burgers to a local place - $70 with all fees. I got a notification on my phone that the order was picked up by the driver. After sometime without news, I check the website and it says delivered. I go down, nothing, zero.
I contact rightaway Caviar through chat and they first answer:
"I have flagged your case to a specialized team for their review, you will hear from them via phone within 24 hours."
24h when you are waiting for a delivery, nonsense. I insist, I want them to contact the delivery guy to understand what happened, they don't. I asked them to deliver the same order, they won't. I just get a:
"I will document this concern and forward it to one of our specialized teams so they can review and take action."
So in summary: no food, 24h to hopefully get a refund, no explanation, nothing.
Terrible service, will never use them again.
Bad policies and worse functionality
The convenience became more of a burden. The website is often out-dated or just plain phony. Too often restaurants would be closed when I ordered, and one time the restaurant literally didn't even exist - the number was some girl's private phone she'd had for years. And, the website was glitchy. Sometimes errors would occur and I'd place an order again thinking the first attempt failed, then would accidentally place two orders.
They only offered partial refunds which, when the error is their tech and/or misinformation that is not acceptable. To get a full refund I'd have to throw a tantrum which I don't like doing. Took too many times having to deal with this stuff to push me to that point - which is how I finally found out that's the secret to get a refund.
I don't know if there are any better ones. They all seem connected at this point. Going to go old fashioned and just call restaurants directly from now on.

Biggest piece of crap application
Biggest piece of crap application. Slowest response time, needed to double verify credit cards and the scanning application doesn’t even work. Wasted 30 minutes try to place an order. Had to use the phone and was done in 30 seconds. Will never use this app again

I think the driver and her companion did something to my food I immediately go sick after eating which isn't normal for me. I won't use this service again

Terrible. Delivery prices are astronomical—and of the five times I’ve ordered, three times, my order has been pilfered from. This means the delivery guy took some of my food in an obvious way. Like, I ordered three short ribs and got one. You know what I mean. This puts a buyer in a tough spot. Make someone who is stealing food to eat lose their job or get ripped off. Yuck. This never happens with grub hub. The one time I reported it, the operator just steered me toward “you didn’t get one of your items.”
The whole thing made me feel horrible.

I can't even give them 1 star, They're horrible. They have really gone down hill. You order, they load up their drivers with multiple orders so it takes forever for your order to arrive. It never used to be like that. The drivers complain. Use GRUBHUB. These guys are really poor.

I'm giving two stars because they delivered it and , but I asked for the cookies I ordered to be left at the door and for them to ring the door bell , I never got a text from them or a ring at my door , I waited and waited then I checked my email it was asking me to rate my experience so I figured they must have left it at and not rang it. Never again using them. By the way the delivery isnt free theres extra fees look closely next time they slip it in there

They are terrible. Food not delivered, wrong address, missing items, wrong items, pushed back delivery times by an hour or longer, then after their numerous screw ups they will cap you on being compensated because you were credited too much, yeah because they keep screwing up! I would rather not get credited and have the food delivered on time as stated per the delivery time. How hard is it to find a dasher in the middle of New York City???

After purchase I checked purchase invoice and found fees were then broken down and was wrongly charged for a small fee plate.
Customer service said I couldn't be refunded since the fees were included regardless of itememization.
No deliver , restaurant closed!!

45 min later , the delivery guy ( not even caviar) called me to tell me the restaurant is closed .
