Reliable, trustworthy and vetted businesses only are allowed to join this scheme. Council Trading Standards Officers spend upto 2 hours interviewing each prospective business to ensure that the business is operated to the highest standard

I have found the Trusted Trader scheme to be a great resource when trying to find someone to carry out home improvements. I have been able to find someone local that I can rely on and can see their (verified!) reviews.
Their staff are always polite and helpful.
There are a few similar schemes out there but this is 100% the best one for supporting both home owners and traders.

they dont remove bad reviews unless they are proven to be lies with documentation etc. so everyone has to be top form every time

Fantastic scheme making it easier to avoid the ever increasing cowboys which seem to be popping up everywhere. Felt like I was able to find a tradesperson with confidence.

The scheme helps me market my business as an honest local provider. I know that the reviews left there are from genuine clients, and the feedback ensures that I am kept on my toes!

Our company has been a member of South Ayrshire Trusted Trader for over a year now. We find it extremely beneficial as it cements our commitment to our clients, and it’s another link for them to trust us as a contractor. The process to join is thorough, which we appreciate as this means no rouge trade me would ever make the scheme.

It is easy for customers to think they are ctiticising a scheme with a similar name whe they are in fact on the trusted trader website.

GR Window and Door Specialist Ltd has restored my faith in door and window installers. The whole process was easy as everything is made very clear in the emails. The staff were helpful and attended when stated. The installation team were efficient, very tidy and did a first class job. I had no qualms about leaving them to work in my home whilst I went out as they both just got on with the job. I was never left wondering what was going on and was kept informed of all proceedings. There was a hiccup, on my part, with the final payment but I was not treated as a bad debtor. I was highly embarrassed about the situation but was dealt with kindly and with patience whilst I remedied the situation.
A first class company which sells and installs excellent products with skill.
