Gareth Truscott has been my saviour!! I have an old stone cottage in Cornwall. My cousin lived in it problem free for 18 months because he opened the windows each day and had the heating on timed for a couple of hours in the morning and evenings or longer when it was cold. No mould.

However, when my current tenant moved in a year ago she did not take any notice of the advice given and condensation built up very quickly resulting in mould growth and claiming there were leaks. I immediately sent experts in to check for roof leaks etc but there was no infiltration.

Then I found Gareth in a Google search. He specialises in psychrometric and other scientific analyses of damp issues in buildings, particularly old ones. He concluded that it was 100% condensation caused by lack of heating and ventilation.

Nobody has been able to refute his evidence. He provided a comprehensive report which included recommendations, which I have now implemented, and which have made a difference because the tenant cannot easily switch of the PIV unit I installed, further supporting Gareth's conclusion that moisture build up inside the building was the problem.

He is totally dedicated to his work and his aftercare is second to none. Worth every penny of the very reasonably priced job.
