TruGreen - Taylor Reviews 5

Be warned about using TruGreen. They skipped huge parts of our complex. They improperly distributed product such that grass burned out in patches. (One of our owners checked up on them with his camera with each visit.) As a longer term customer, we requested some price consideration for all the problems we had. No one got back to us and we did not return their 2026 contract. They came anyway, skipped part of our lawn (again) and sent us an invoice. As I said, be warned.

Tru-green is not supposed to do anything to my backyard. I have dogs and kids and I don't want them playing in chemicals. Before I could get outside and stop them they got into the back yard and dumped a load of chemicals there. The chemical smell is overwhelming - even now, an hour later, it is still in my throat.
The last time they were supposed to fertilize. They drove off 3 minutes after getting here. I timed them. There was no fertilizer on the ground. I received no bill and found that they took it from my checking account without any authorization from me.
I have cancelled my account.

A lady called to reschedule my appointment back in June 2024 I explained to to cancel to next year my funds were low. They rushed a tech out. Then I see someone spraying again inauguration I didn't ask for. Then several phone calls. Because they want $298.00. Then Jeff calls and tries to negotiate what I cancel over the phone. Now Trugreen wants $298..makes no sense.

This service is the absolute worst. If you want to throw money away, hire these liars. I used to use lawn doctor for service but decided to give tru green a shot. My lawn has NEVER looked so bad.
Missed applications, weed infiltration, etc. I called numerous times to speak to a manager. Call center is a joke. Management is a joke. Finally called me back about 2 weeks later and said he will be here early last week. No show. No call.
One time, after I complained, they sent a guy out to do spot weed control. I have over an acre and a half and this guy was packing his stuff in 10 minutes. When I asked him how that's possible he was shocked and said he did it all and would do it again. 5 minutes later he was "done".
Guess what..about 10% of the weeds later died. That's what you get when you hire lazy people.
I will not be paying the fee for my last application. Maybe they will send out a manager to collect...I hope!
Truly unprofessional company. I don't know how they stay in business.
By the way my area is covered by the Tru green in Upper Saddle River NJ but they are not listed in this websites dropdown.

Trugreen were paid to aerate and seed my lawn and I witnessed almost zero seed. Unlike the ease of past years, this time I had extreme difficulty in contacting someone by phone who would commit to correcting Trugreen's mistake. After leaving a critical review on the Trugreen site - (which was not user friendly), and leaving a similar review on Trust Pilot, I have been contacted by Trugreen saying they are going to reseed.
