Rip offs, they never settle your claim, total trash customer service, 4 months and not one satisfactory reply from this company, not even a phone number to call.

I use them often, however they are not much use when baggage is lost. I once had luggage delay of 2 weeks so there was a claim however the claims process is close to impossible. Took close to 6 months to get resolved, after they accept the claim they take 3 months to settle and communication is in Italian - however they sell at international airports yet you have to deal with staff that cant communicate in English.
In April we traveled to Rome and on the return trip we wrapped the bags and purchased the insurance. One of our bags got damaged. Sorted out all the paperwork, (completed forms in Italian as they don't translate or provide these in English), we are in August and I follow up every week - still waiting for a response.
This service would be worthwhile if the company actually cared about their customers and provided a service - currently there is no value in buying this!!!!

I have often used the Truestar luggage insurance and tracking (the one with the green plastic wrap) and this time my luggage got actually lost during a transfer flight so for the first time I could test their service.
It turned out that it is completely useless, since their App (advertised as ""Your journey in App. Get our App-We make it easier") is simply a link to the international website of the www.worldtracer used by all airports. After contacting Truestar and sending all possible documents they answered (after 2 days) that they only "offer an additional support to the tracking service of the flight company but that they are not responsible for the actual localization. No compensation is foreseen if the luggage is sent back to your permanent address (so useless if you fly back home) and only if it is returned more than 36 hours later and you are not in your permanent address. Nothing of the sort is mentioned when you buy the insurance.
So basically if your luggage gets lost you will not get any additional information on where it ended up and they will not inform you on where it is and when it will get home. There is also no compensation foreseen if you travel home. So basically zero service at the cost of 12€.
