Ordered a harness for my dog. Definitely not as sturdy or well designed as the photos depict. The dog escaped out of the velcro harness and ran through the streets. Thankfully not hit by a car. When I contacted the company for a return, no was given to me about how to return the item. Instead, they asked me to give a size for a new one. When you click on the return policy, a box pops up and asks if you want to find out about a secret discount on your next order. It is very difficult to find out about how to return the defective item. It is a scam. Your dog's name is just put on a flimsy velcro stick on. It is not sewn into the product. The belly strap is adjustable velcro. Not a metal or even plastic adjustable strap that will secure your pet. This is very dangerous. I do not recommend this company. They are making returns difficult because they have a weak product and expect the consumer to give up and just eat the loss. Very expensive item for low quality with much trouble trying to find a way to get YOUR money refunded.

Ok, so it took forever to come via shipping
Had the harness in about 15 seconds and he got out of it. Backed up, put his head down and BAM it was off
REALLY?? Happened 3 times in a row, now he thinks it’s a game ffs.
Not impressed with design at all

Very poor quality product. The website made it look like a “Made in USA” item but it was clear after ordering that it was coming to me from China. It took forever to arrive and the company was not great with requests for updates / information on my order. The tracking link provided to me didn’t work. When the harness eventually arrived, it’s a poor fit on my dog. Sliders used to adjust the length & tension of the belly strap loosen on their own with gentle pulling from the dog, leaving you with a harness that is baggy on the dog and that slides back and forth across your dog’s back & shoulders during a walk. Worst of all: the plastic clip used to secure the belly strap into the buckle easily pops open if your dog pulls a bit during a walk. This led to my dog coming free from her harness in bad conditions: in traffic on a crosswalk or when meeting an aggressive dog on a trail. It was clear to me on the 1st or 2nd use that this harness is a piece of crap. DON’T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I MADE: stay away from this vendor.

I made a true harness purchase in August of this year for my still growing Australian Shepherd. I ordered a pink harness (size small) with a pink leash. Weeks later I received a pink harness and a “RED” leash. I placed the harness on my little girl and took her for a walk. With little or no effort on my part, the harness slipped to one side or the other as we walked. I was very frustrated to learn that you can only contact the seller by email. I made an immediate request for a full refund.
Seven (7) weeks have now passed and True Harness “HAS NOT” given me a refund even though they have a 100% refund guarantee.
Nor have they simply given me the information I need to return my order.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

I bought this harness for my German shepard in May 2020. We only use it on weekends IF we go somewhere. However, Covid made sure that was not frequent. Last week the plastic buckle cracked and broke. Since nothing else is wrong with the harness I asked if they could send me a replacement buckle or if I could ship it in for repair.
The response I received was "No" & "No". They stated their 60 day return policy and the fact I purchase it in May 2020.
Hello, I'm not trying to return it, just repair the broken cheap plastic buckle.
Obviously, they have a restricted 60 day return policy because they know the quality is not in the product for it to last. They should advertise these as disposable harnesses because mine is useless without the buckle that keeps it on so this one is going in the trash.
It's really sad how products are no longer made to last.
Let's just keep throwing poor quality products in the trash so our landfills can fill up that much faster. Thanks for nothing TrueHarness Customer Service.

I have been waiting for my puppy harness since 9/15 or before. I did not want it personalized. I just hope my girl fits into it when received. Very disappointed.

Hard to place the order. Errors could not be deleted from the shopping cart. Special requests were acknowledge by email. We planned a trip with 2 dogs. I received an email saying my order was shipped. Later another shipping date. We left with no harnesses from this company. 10 days after returning home the stuff arrived. Terrible quality, the threads were loose in many places in the harnesses. Cheap workmanship, made poorly. Requests not done as promised. Missing one seat belt. The "training whistle" on a destroyed cardboard box with no instructions. I just wanted my money back. In an email I was told that " due to the pandemic the return warehouse was closed". BS! I was offered 40% back and keep everything. I said no. They charged me $4.99 per item. It was one order with 5 items. One missing. Well the total for each restocking fee for 4 received items is $19.96 and inexplicably the amount charged was $38.12. I do not know what type of math they do. I eventually received a refund minus some restocking fees. I bought local harnesses for the dogs in a pet store with no problems.

My original order for the harness took 5 weeks to get. Company said original was lost in mail but could not give tracking number. I placed a second order for just the name & number tag and again I contacted company due to length of time. Amazingly, it also was lost in the mail. Again no tracking number on shipment. Over 4 weeks to get name tag and quality was crap. Will just throw away, not worth trouble.

Took a while but I finally received the harness and the clasp was broken so I couldn’t use the front reflective part that goes around the front of the dog was put on backwards so for me to adjust it I had to do it inside against the dog horrible product will never buy again save your money.

Does not work on my dog. Customer service is non-existant. I do not recommend the product or the company.

Horrible harness. I bought for my American bully. After less than a couple months of use the harness came unlatched during a walk and he almost got away from me. He is a big dog and I am a small woman. I have been emailing the company daily and NO REPLY even though it says they will reply within 24 hours. It’s BEEN 5 Days. And there is no number to call. This company is a scam and the product is dangerous as your pet can get lose. I want a refund and they are ignoring my emails

Guess I should have read this site before purchasing. Hasn't even been "processed" yet, let alone shipped. Ordered on 8/13/21. Don't even follow their order time table.

Terrible customer service. I can't get ahold of a human being and my harness has been being shipped for over 2 weeks without any updates. This is insane. I will never order anything from this company anymore. It isn't worth the hassle because DHL sucks

This harness lasted less than 1 year and used it maybe a dozen times before the plastic clip that holds the harness around their belly broke when walking my dog this last week. Emailed sales and support at trueharness.com and never got a response back. WARNING!!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! THE PLASTIC CLIPS ARE CHEAP AND BREAK!!! Buy a better product from someone else with a better product and CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Harness FINALLY arrived today. We like the looks of it, too soon to tell about durability. The one suggestion I have is dump DHL and use a different shipper. Took 2 weeks to arrive. I would have gladly paid more to get item delivered sooner. Heck, the final leg is USPS. It would have arrived sooner if USPS was used exclusively.

30 mins after Purchasing the true harness my dog was able to break free from the harness. This harness was not worth purchasing the whole purpose was to keep my dog from running away.

within a month of purchase the plastic belt buckle {on the harness side} of the harness broke. I should have returned it then, I tried gorilla glue, which didn't hold, and have used plastic cable ties, which eventually break but can be replaced. Still the harness is very convenient. Do you make a convenient harness that has a sturdy buckling rather than plastic?

We purchased two of these and they work great for our two Maltese puppies. There was and issue with one being too big. I called and had a return call from Katie. She took our information and sent us out a new one at no charge. Then told me to keep the other one or donate it to a shelter. I call that awesome customer service.

The harness clip comes off every single time I walk my dog. I contacted customer service and they said this is a manufacturing flaw, and that I would have to purchase another one (they offered 15% discount). If you don't stand behind your product, why sell your product? Oh right, because it's literally a drop shipping company that sends you your order straight from China.

Terrible customer service! Had 2 harness delivered, one has a big stain on it. Emailed them twice with a photo and NO RESPONSE!!! I WISH I had read the reviews before I ordered. DO not buy from them, they do not stand by their products!!!
