Buyer beware- absolute scam
Buyer beware! This company is an absolute scam – save your time and money.
I ordered an established, "old plant, flowering size" Monstera pinnatipartita for a total of €65 including shipping. The website listing showed a large, lush, mature plant mounted on a wooden plank.
What I actually received was an absolute joke: a completely bare, chopped stem with a single leaf at the very top. It looked absolutely nothing like the product advertised. I immediately sent photos to complain within 30mins of delivery early Monday morning. When I finally received a response late afternoon, customer service was dismissive and uncooperative, offering me an insulting €30 partial refund and telling me I could just "re-grow it."
I refused to accept their mistake out of pocket and opened a formal dispute through PayPal. Tropica Flora still refused to provide a return shipping label, forcing me to pay for tracked international shipping back to the Netherlands myself. PayPal stepped in and forced a full refund in my favor, but I am still out return shipping costs.
This company uses deceptive photos, ships chopped stems instead of advertised plants and expects the customer to pay out of pocket to fix their mistakes. Incredibly unprofessional. Save your money and buy from reputable sellers.
