TRIVAGO website changes booking date to 3 months after I need it...no refund
I booked a 5 day "extension" to a current hotel in Barcelona. We are here for a business conference. After selecting my dates, the price, and entering all billing details, the TRIVAGO Website CHANGED the DATES from October 26-31, to January 26-31, 2027! I'll be back in the USA in January of 2027! When I informed TRIVGO of this incident both by phone and by e-mail with the booking number, I received the same, recorded e-mail that this was a nonrefundable booking. I requested that they award the credit toward the booking I will pay at the hotel NOW. Same recorded e-mail was the response. They're keeping the money. I tried multiple times to work with TRIVAGO, emailed, texted, and phoned. No attempt was made to correct a nearly $600.00 MISTAKE ON THEIR PART. Sadly, I'll need to fight them through my credit card. I suggested they go on their own website and watch how it works. No response. Their WEBSITE HAS A MALFUNCTION and tHEY'LL KEEP YOUR MONEY.

The hotel could not confirm the booking. I had no reservation at the actual hotel. Was told that they do not work with Trivago Deals. Very disappointing.

ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS EXPERIENCE
We have been using Trivago for booking our hotels for a few years. Never again though. We booked a hotel in Columbus Ohio for a weekend. About 5 days ahead of the trip, I was looking online for restaurants around the hotel and got a pop that our hotel was permanently closed. No communication or notification from Trivago. So I contacted them and their reply was that I booked with a no cancellation so too bad for me. Those communication exchanges gave us no options or assistance and were quite rude by their agents responding. I have to say that I was shocked by their lack of professionalism and response and offered no help. I will never use Trivago again for my travel needs. We had booked travel a few weeks before and had an equally awful experience.
