Avoid @Kiwi_com at all costs

Avoid @Kiwi_com at all costs! They've mishandled my refund (Booking Ref: 562494284), ignored my complaints, and offered nothing but robotic responses. This company exploits customers and refuses to take responsibility. Don’t trust them with your travel plans. #ScamAlert

They make their clients pay for their own mistakes and no help provided

Kiwi has a nice comfortable website, but unfortunately they have a lot of technical issues and horrible customer service and they make their clients to pay, waist the the time for their own mistakes. I was trying to book a flight from Amman to Krakow. After the payment It was required to confirm with Ryinair in order for booking to be complete, so as they write it nicely and clear: you will not be charged if you don’t confirm it with Ryinair during 30min. Well.. I tried several times and it did not work. So I was not able to confirm it and I believed what they write. I was waiting for en email, nothing came to inbox for few hours. I needed to organise my trip so I booked with Ryinair directly late evening. Next day I received email from kiwi that my booking is done and the money left my account. So I ended up with two flight on my name.
When I contact customer service, explaining that:
1. confirmation came a day later!
2. Send them screenshots they write I will not be charged if they don’t receive confirmation
3. They have 2 months to sell this flight, it’s really in advance and situation caused by their own issues
Reply was shocking, first they told me to resolve with Ryinair, even though o was charged by kiwi🤣. And then they kept saying sorry for confusion but we don’t care and it’s not refundable.
Well NEVER AGAIN. So people be aware they have a lot issues and not able to resolve them and help. At list they could be honest and don’t write things wich are not true. And we don’t deserve to pay for their mistakes, issuers and horrible customer service wich does not value the clients at all.

Didn't refund all my costs when flights cancelled

Bought flights through Kiwi for Ryanair for £216.95. Ryanair cancelled the flights. I applied for a refund through Kiwi, and was sent £200.77. So £16.18 is missing. On enquiry, they say that's for taxes paid when I originally booked that can't be refunded(?). So someone, somewhere, has trousered my missing money. Avoid - and book direct with the airline.

Kiwi.com failed to give me full refund for cancelled flight

I am extremely disappointed with Kiwi.com’s handling of my refund for a canceled flight. Despite being legally entitled to a full refund under Kazakhstan law (Article 86 of Law No. 566-II), Kiwi.com has only refunded a small portion of the amount I paid (£134.69 out of £850).

The flight was canceled by the airline, and the law clearly states that passengers must be fully reimbursed when a cancellation is caused by the carrier. As the intermediary, Kiwi.com has a duty to ensure compliance with these legal obligations.

I have repeatedly asked Kiwi.com to provide:
   •   Documentation of the refund issued by the airline.
   •   Proof that they pursued a full refund on my behalf.
   •   Clarification on why the remaining balance has not been refunded.

Instead of addressing these points, I’ve received vague, dismissive responses that fail to provide any transparency. Kiwi.com’s stance that they can only pass on what the airline refunded does not absolve them of their responsibility to ensure customers receive what they are legally entitled to.

If Kiwi.com does not resolve this issue promptly, I will escalate my complaint to the Civil Aviation Committee of Kazakhstan, EU consumer protection agencies, and legal authorities. I will also claim additional compensation for the inconvenience caused.

I strongly urge other customers to think twice before booking with Kiwi.com, as their refund process and customer service have been extremely frustrating and unhelpful.

524911904

Reservation number: 524911904
I don't like Kiwi's response to the full refund request.
I applied for a refund on May 17, two days after my reservation was completed on May 15, 2024, and I received a call from the shipping company that I had completed my refund application to the airline on May 17.
However, the refund was not made quickly, so I kept requesting it on June 13, June 26, and August 6, but received a reply that it was being processed. On September 2, about three months after I requested a refund, I was notified that it was non-refundable. However, on September 5, the airline contacted me again that it had received a partial refund, and Kiwicom completed the payment of the credit, including the credit, on September 12 as a goodwill gesture (Refund: ₩ 179,394 ₩ 206,296 (including bonus credit)
So what does it mean to request a refund from the airline on May 17th? Does it mean that the airline delayed the refund without processing it right away and then it was not refunded on September 2nd?
It's something I can't understand in common sense.
We also received a partial refund of 125.88 euros and did not account for 12.5% of the principal amount of KRW 1,476,144 (as of November 29).
I requested cancellation and refund within 2 days of booking, but I don't understand Kiwicom's refund that doesn't fit common sense.
It's weird to say I can't get a refund, but I also don't understand that I got a partial refund after three days.
Therefore, I request the documents canceled by the airline on May 17th.
Once again, we strongly demand a full refund and an apology from the company. If this doesn't go quickly, we will inform social media such as YouTube and each media company and ask Czech authorities to investigate.
We will also create a victim community on Kiwi.com and jointly respond as consumers.

Don’t book with Kiwi!

Made a booking using a third party website, but I thought it was straight through a website. Unfortunately, after booking I got an email through Kiwi.com as they were the “middle man.” And there was not a way to cancel the flights. As long as you don’t want ANYTHING extra for your flight (baggage, a carry on, check in online, pick seats together, to check in at the desk, etc); they get the job done. It just will cost you money for anything you get- even just to check in.

Additionally, we had short layovers and they would not allow us to check a bag for our trip. They said it was due to the short layover, but then told us we couldn’t even pay to check a carry on bag because it was less than 36 hours to flight. But it wasn’t. It was over 60 hours until flight. I finally gave up. And the layover was so short, there was no way to go through passport control, change terminals, and get through security, so we missed our second flight anyway and had to book new tickets elsewhere day of to get to our destination. You’re paying through Kiwi to set up your itinerary, so how can they not plan out an itinerary that leaves enough time to get to and from terminals where the bus only comes every 20 min? Ridiculous

I will not book again with Kiwi. I just want simple check in online and don’t want to pay to check in for my flight. And I want to be able to just pay to bring a carry on and not jump through hoops. It seems like a simple enough request, but not for Kiwi.

The worst trip provider ever

The worst trip provider ever. I booked my trip on their website, but they forgot to book my luggage, so I had to pay for it at the airport, and they never gave the money back.

Kiwi.com is weste!!!

Kiwi.com is very bad company.
They just keep repeating lies.
My Flight ticket booked with could not be changed.
so I requested full refund to kiwi.
After contacting them several times, Kiwi said repeat that they would process the refund within 14 days at the latest.
But Two weeks later, they are still repeating the same thing. So I checked with the airline, and they haven't even started the cancellation process yet.
They are liars. I can't trust Kiwi and it is very inconvenient. I will never use Kiwi again and I do not recommend it to anyone.
This company that does not keep its promises to customers and does not conduct business nomally should be eliminated

Don't ever be fooled by this site.

At Kiwi.com, a consumer scammer, if you buy a plane ticket, you're screwed.
I had a business trip from Korea to Wenzhou, China 5 months ago, so I booked and paid for my ticket on Kiwi.com.
I received a confirmation of my flight ticket and was preparing for my trip when I suddenly received an email saying that my confirmed booking had been canceled. I panicked and quickly booked a flight through another site and received a ridiculous email from Kiwi.com saying that I had canceled my ticket and they couldn't refund me. Kiwi.com doesn't even have a phone number to contact them, only email, so I emailed them and got their customer service number, but the service was subpar and uncommunicative. I requested a refund through my credit card company in South Korea, and today, more than 5 months later, I received a decision notice via email stating that they would not be able to refund my money. Kiwi.com is a very bad site that is out to get consumers and cause them financial harm. This is a site that should be removed from travel sites. Don't ever be fooled by this site.

SCAM!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

We purchased a check bagged each through Kiwi for our flight. However, when we arrived at the airline, we found that zero checked bags were included and we were forced to add and purchase a checked bag (our bags were well within regular checked bag limits). Kiwi said that it wouldn't be a problem and they'd refund us for the issue. About 40 messages back and forth later and they are playing dumb and pretending not to understand the issue. They are blatantly refusing to refund the money they owe us. This is a SCAM - Don't fall for it. Book direct!

Booked return flights

Booked return flights. Return flight was changed to 9 hours earlier in the day which we couldn’t make due to appointments in the city. They called this a minor change. The whole trip had to be cancelled instead of the return flight only. No refund so nearly £1000 down! Contacted them many many times with no support or help. NEVER BOOK WITH THESE FRAUDSTERS!

kiwi.com

I booked flights to Turkey for January 2025, they were separate airlines. I was informed personally from Pegasus my flight returning home had been cancelled and I could have a refund. However kiwi.Com had informed me that I had to choose either lose my flight going to Turkey (as I only purchased a saver ticket) or purchase another flight home for £200. I choose to get a refund from Pegasus. Kiwi.Com informed me that they had given me £84.96 for my flight ,however I paid £210.40 for my return flight. I messaged Kiwi.com and told them I had emailed pegasus regarding the offer regarding the amount, and as I am writing this the cheeky so and so sent me a message offering me £97.70 (FOR MY PATIENTS, ) this is what they wrote. I would definitely not book with Kiki.com ever again but I would urge anyone if you are booking or buying anything please look on trust pilot before you choose. It may save you a lot of money or patients. Just to add to my complaint, dated 4/11/24 I have now read many many reviews regarding kiwi.com and they have not once tried to defend their company or replied to anyone on trustpilot I really find this very disturbing. Thinking how many people they have taken money from, not much refunds so being a bad company and having lack of remorse is a winner to them. Can anything be changed or done with regards to this company other than people complaining and getting nowhere 🤔

Ticket and refund from kiwi.com

I have recently encountered my refund processed with kiwi.com for my flight ticket from Switzerland to Splint. I must say the whole process was poorly managed by Kiwi.com. I paid for $1900+ with 3 days of purchasing, and the airline requested I change my flight schedule because the return flight has been cancelled. Due to the fact that the landing time was not applicable to me, I decided I wouldn't be able to change the right time I had to cancel the ticket. The only communication option via Kiwi.com was via email. They responded to the email real quick, however, with no property advice or solutions provided. I contacted the airline, and they advised a refund will not provide on the luggage fees and seating fees. I also have to wait for 30 days because I booked via Kiwi Know as an agent. After 40 days and a return from my holiday, I contacted the airline. And been advised the refund was already processed the day after I lodged the cancellation. I will also only be receiving a $200 refund and nothing more due to the type of tickets I purchased.
When I purchased the tickets on kiwi.com, the conditions were not clearly outlined. When I contacted the agents and asked for advice, "Should I cancel?" or what the best option was, I was not informed.
I believe you can still use their website to search for better ticket deals. Then purchase direct with the airline; should there be any changes required, the airline will be able to offer better assistance. And refund within 7 days.

That is what I did; when I rescheduled my flight, I booked via booking.com and also directly with the airline. I have no problems there for my whole month in Europe trips.

With the refund I received, kiwi.com has not input what the $200 is for. I feel like they just provide me some refund just so I m stop asking or following up.

Completely disaster

Completely disaster: they explain by mail so ambiguous, after buying the flight tickets, "Don't worry if you lose any transfer because you are protected with the flight protection premium" (but I hadn't this protection, because I should have payed extra, and didn't realized). So they didn't refund when I had to buy another ticket..
And the worse part (not ambiguous way, but directly lie): they insist that sometimes airlines companies ask is to pay for getting the boarding pass, and kiwi is going to refund it.. After that you can read that if you had to pay for any mistake (not arrive enough early to get it, or not give the information required to get it), kiwi is not going to refund (this is fair).
I'm my case, kiwi and the airline said me that I only could get the boarding pass at the booking physical desk. I arrive very early, I had shared all my information, I DIDN'T ANY MISTAKE, but, even explain this, kiwi assistant said me that they were not going to refund..I suppose that they have a person systematically replying every reclaim they they don't refund, without analysing anything. What a shame!!

The Kiwi Company is rubbish.

I requested a refund on the day I made a reservation. I called the airline separately and even confirmed that the same-day cancellation fee is free. However, the Kiwi company requested a refund late and it was canceled after that, so it charged the airline's cancellation fee, and the Kiwi company said it incurred a cancellation fee according to the airline's regulations. And the airline informed me that it could only refund 1,400 won because it only refunded 140,000 won to 1,400 won.
Don't use this trash company that says you can't give your money back even though your refund is late.
My reservation number is 566407226 and 566031719. Refund your money now.

Unreliable service

Unreliable service! If you want to keep your money safe better buy tickets via airlines.
My flight was delayed for two hours. Kiwi notified me about the delay but they did not say anything that the check in time and registration of the baggage was on the original time. As the result I have missed my check in time.
When I called Kiwi they said it was fully my responsibility and I should have called the airport for the check in details! They haven't got any responsibility before their customers.
