Almost Christmas

As I walked in, the Christmas decoration displays made me go 'Wow!' There was so much to look at I could have spent hours there. Friendly staff; restaurant almost full. A beautiful place to shop.

Lunch at The Orangery, Trioscape

My wife and I had lunch at The Orangery at Trioscope in Newent and I had the special of sweet chilli pork belly. It was excellent. We have dined here a few times and I usually go for the specials as they are usually different to a lot of menu offerings. Always good and it is a very popular venue for a lot of people as it is always busy. Service is also very punctual and have never had to wait long before the food is served. A lot of restaurants could learn a lot from The Orangery. Top marks !!

Disappointed this time

Visited here a number of times but disappointed today. Had cheese and chive scone which had little of either. Flavourless and doughy/heavy. Husband had a fruit scone with about 3/4 bits of fruit. Also all cakes increased in price and traybakes quite small squares. Meals pricey for midday. More like evening restaurant prices. Jacket potatoes sold out as on last visit. They should buy more in as obviously popular and we would have had them.Useful reductions on some perennials if you are starting a garden. Clothing far too expensive. Bought a reasonably priced bird feeder from a large selection. Doubt we’ll make the 30 mile trip again for a day out.

Cafe not great!

Went here with my elderly mum for a look around and then tea and cake. By the time we’d finished all our shopping, we got to the cafe at 4:15. I had a scone and cream. The scone turned out to be stale (dry and hard) and the small paper cup of cream came out dry and powdery… not creamy in the slightest. I was going to mention it to the staff but they’d closed up shop at 4:30. Also didn’t want to make a fuss in front of my mum who had paid for the ‘treat’. I appreciate that we turned up at the end of the day, but that’s no excuse for selling stale inedible food to the public. Try and do better guys!

Just superb customer service

In such difficult times with Covid I found Trioscape to be just simply outstanding in their customer service attitude. Nothing was too much trouble for them and the quality of plants and speed of delivery was superb.

A really outstanding business.
