Yesterday, January 19, money was stolen from my account. I reported it to the bank and blocked everything. They were supposed to return the money to me, but today, January 20, I logged into my online banking and saw that money had been stolen again by the same company. January 19, the same amount, and I called the bank again, and they tried to tell me some kind of incomprehensible story. People, take care of your honestly earned money and never deal with this Triodos Bank. All information about the bank will be posted on all social media and a police report will be filed. My lawyer is already looking into it.

The bank put a stop to the trading of their depository receipts and then, after a long period, held meetings and decided to restart and made an offer of compensation for their messing about. My wife and I have joint depository receipts and when we tried to accept their offer on line found that there was bug in their system (which they acknowledged!) and we were unable to process on line and so we requested paper documentation for us to complete. They Promised to send the paperwork and after several emails and telephone conversations, we are still awaiting the documentation. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS BANK even if they eventually sort out our problem!!!!!
Generally a good ethical bank
Generally a good ethical bank, they finally got their online experience up to speed over the past few years after allowing authentication for payments via the app and finally introducing Apple Pay in the Netherlands. What I really dislike though is that they do not allow iDIN (online identification) which every bank except Triodos offers. This service is necessary for example to identify yourself online in the Netherlands to a notary, for a mortgage application, basically for every life changing event in your life, and very cumbersome without iDIN. I put in a complaint about that, and did not like how they handled the complaint. They claim that this is a niche service, but that is nonsense. It is a critical service. You don't need it often, but it is extremely annoying if you do not have it when you need it. Other than that a good bank, 5 stars if they would fix iDIN, until then 3.5 stars (rounded up to 4).

I chose to bank with Triodos for their ethics
I chose to bank with Triodos simply because I want to do business with ethical companies and they met that criteria. I have had nothing but good service from them. I PAY £3 per month for a current account which is much less than at banks which actively promote overdrafts cost in interest. They are very helpful if a customer finds herself the victim of a spamming company as I have twice. Yesterday I received payment that Triodos had clawed back from Ozerty, and within 2 days of blocking my card to ensure no further payments to that company I have received a new card !
Triodos Bank - the not so ethical bank
Triodos Bank has been using the tag of being an ethical bank. For me, it has not lived to that promise.
Before you get into business with them, please read the mess they have done withholding the trade of certificates from the bank during the Corona years.
Basically internal bank decisions dropped the value of the certificates of the bank without allowing investors to withdraw their investment or have a major say on those decisions for about 4 years.
Now that trading has reopened under a new unilateral set-up changed from their side, the value has dropped dramatically since there has been a major drop in confidence.
Actual loss, at least 50 to 60 euros per certificate
After a great amount of push back, compensation offered by Triodos: 10 euros per certificate
The accountability response has been insufficient at best and definitely not proportional to the damages caused by the poor judgement of their chosen leaders.

I've never been able to access my ISA account online. They post passwords in paper form which takes ages. Their App won't work abroad. They can't close the account return the money to the account it came from. customer service can't do anything that's not on the simplest algorithm. There is no way to complain by telephone. It's not possible to speak to the Investments Team directly. Think very very carefully before using Triodos for anything. For comparison I regularly use 4 business accounts and two personal accounts online & by App without problem.

This bank is the most useless bank ever. Imagine transferring money into my account paying someone am owing, for the past 3 weeks now they hold the money inside the account with know explanation or any form of communication, and am a new customer to them they treat their customer like a peace of shit bad customer services. Absolutely rubbish bank. Been over a week now refusing to give any explanation on why me account is blocked and having no access to me own money. When i ask to assist with anything they need to speed up that process explaining them am behind me rent and need to pay it but still getting no answer but u have to wait. I had to know from first month that bank is not good they asked me why am using ATM taking money????? Am not talking for millions or something but small amount of money which bank does that? It may be good for some people but i hardly doubted bout that. Beware of Triodos Bank: Unjust Account Blockage and Refusal to Release Funds
I regret to inform potential customers about the appalling experience I've had with Triodos Bank. My relationship with this bank has quickly turned into a nightmare as they have arbitrarily blocked my account, withholding access to my hard-earned funds amounting to £11,000.
The origins of these funds are crystal clear: they derive from my personal PayPal account, a fact I have diligently proven to Triodos Bank with an abundance of evidence. Despite providing more documentation than necessary to establish ownership, the bank remains obstinate, refusing to release my funds.
Their lack of cooperation and utter disregard for customer satisfaction is deeply concerning. Not only have they failed to provide a valid reason for the account blockage, but they've also shown a complete disregard for my financial well-being. It's as if they're holding my money hostage without any just cause.
I implore anyone considering banking with Triodos to think twice. This institution cannot be trusted to handle your finances responsibly. If they can unjustly block my account and withhold my funds despite overwhelming evidence of ownership, they can do it to anyone.
Triodos Bank, consider this your final warning: Release my funds within the next week, or I will have no choice but to escalate this matter with my legal team. It's unacceptable for a bank to wield such power over its customers without accountability or transparency.
In conclusion, steer clear of Triodos Bank unless you want to risk being treated unfairly and having your hard-earned money unlawfully withheld.

I've had my bank account with Triodos Bank for the past 5 years, and everything has gone well. They've been a bit slow in adopting new technologies, but for me, it's worth these minor inconveniences given the work they are doing.
I really wanted to like this bank but...
I really wanted to like this bank and have tried banking with them now for 2 years. Today I have given up and switched. The problems are numerous. Switching to them was difficult and I never did get them to transfer over my overdraft facility or to respond to my request to have an overdraft with them. Transactions are often slow, taking hours rather than seconds or minutes with other banks. Their website is weird and clunky. In fact there are two websites which you have to switch between depending on the function you want. Today the final straw was them not transferring some money I really needed to transfer. When I rang it was clear that this was a fraud check but, unlike other banks, they hadn't made it clear that additional steps needed to be be taken and just didn't transfer the money. I spent a long time on the phone trying to clarify this. Their ethics may be great but this is not a functioning bank.
Close our account - now shut out
I needed to close our account. I started by moving money but could only move £20,000 at a time. I enquired and was told I could raise the limit. I did that, but it never worked. So contacted them to just close the account. Worked smoothly, but now I cannot log in - you are supposed to be able to log in for up to a year after you close the account. I just want a closing statement.
