This is a great option for a camp with no bathroom. Is it weird to scoop wood shavings over your poop? Yes, but it really does work as advertised!
The biggest downside is the awkwardness of emptying the urine container. It would be better if there was a more ergonomic design to pour out the liquid, instead it wants to stay in the sides and sloshes out over the handle.
For two people we purchased the mid-sized Trelino Evo M and find that we need to empty the liquid container sometimes before nightfall, or else it spills inside the toilet. Knowing that, we would have gone for the larger sized container.

We love the simple structure of this composting toilet and how easily cleanable it is! We use ours in our tiny house and are composting Humanure style so used this way it is a truly no-waste product. simple, easily cleaned and maintained, and we like the way it looks too!

We bought the Trelino (middle model) in 2022.The only small criticism we could make is that the urine tank, due to its shape, always leaves a little urine (or water if rinsing) after emptying. Well, it is a minimal quantity but it does not dry quickly. However, we are fully satisfied with this product that we absolutely do not regret having purchased, even if the price may seem relatively expensive at first glance.

This is an essential product. Very well made. The compact version fit great in our Sprinter Camper Van. We are a family of six. Being out in Yosemite for a week, this thing came in handy. This is a great upgrade from our old home depot bucket.
It was easy to maintain with almost no smell. I didn't have to worry about it tipping over during the long drive. The natural wood top version aesthetically fit our van perfectly. I love how everything is self contained within the unit.

Wow everything about our Trelino toilet has been a game changer versus the other brands we had. Love the fact the poo goes out in a plastic (recyclable) bag. Rip out our NH and haven’t looked back in two years.

The Trelino composting toilet is exactly as advertised and it is exactly what we needed. It is the right size to work with our roof top tent in which we locate it inside a vestibule. It changed the whole experience.

It is compact and light but exceptionally well designed and constructed. The separator works very well and maintenance is easy and trouble free. I would buy this again.

My previous portable toilet was a cassette type which was frankly ghastly to use and empty (ie smelly and messy) to the point I hated using it and avoided it if at all possible. It also used chemicals which were pretty unpleasant too and it was heavy to move about.

I've used the Trelino for the last 2 months and it is very solid but lightweight, pleasant to use, with no mess, no smell and no hassle. Solids and liquids are kept separate and it's easy and convenient to use. The only downside is that it is a bit expensive to buy but I'm so glad I bit the bullet and made the purchase.

A brilliant accessory for camping “off grid”! Works exactly as advertised! Would very much recommend!
Looking forward to when Trelino’s sawdust becomes available to the UK market. (But I was able to get the next thing on Amazon - which still works very well).

the main fault is condensation. the urine vapors remain locked in the toilet and the smell is unpleasant when opened.
the second fault is the groove at the bottom of the toilet which is very difficult to clean.
Finally, women find it difficult to sit properly separating solid and liquid.

The toilet system comes as the most cost effective DIY package, offering an effective design for hygiene and ease of use. I also found the staff of Trelino friendly and helpful, which is essential when dealing with human waste manage. Definitely a cost effective product.
