**⚠️ Warning: Don’t Be Misled by Unverified Positive Reviews**
I am writing this review to warn others about my experience with this treadmill repair individual whom I first contacted in January 2024. He eventually came out in late April 2024, and the outcome has left my treadmill unusable for nearly two years.
He informed me that the call-out and diagnosis fee would be £100, and that any further cost would only relate to replacement parts. During his visit, he removed the internal control unit and said it needed to be sent to someone he knew (“Tim”) for repair or replacement.
A couple of weeks later, Tim emailed me stating that the unit could not be repaired and that a replacement would cost £175. I paid this amount and received both the replacement part and the old part back.
When I contacted him to return and fit the part, he suddenly demanded another £100. I questioned this, as he had already taken £100 for the initial visit and had never mentioned a second call-out fee. Despite this, I agreed to pay the extra £100 if he would simply come and install the part — but he never returned. This may well be because he realised that the issue was not limited to the control unit he had identified, and that there could be additional problems with the treadmill which he had either overlooked or did not want to deal with. From that point on, he completely stopped communicating.
When I told him that I would consider pursuing legal action, he replied that he didn’t care. And realistically, why would he care when he provided no full name, no business details, and no proper contact information to enable any legal proceedings?
Today, almost two years later, my treadmill remains dismantled and unusable. The replacement control unit is still hanging loose and the machine cannot operate. I even asked him for the photos he took while dismantling the machine so I could at least attempt to reassemble it myself, but he refused to send them.
After this experience, I looked more closely at his Google profile. He has only 12 reviews in total!! While he appears to have a number of positive reviews, many of these are unverified, and I have serious concerns that they may not represent genuine customer experiences. In contrast, the negative reviews — which do appear to be from real customers — describe problems almost identical to mine. This strongly reinforces that what happened to me has also happened to others. For this reason, I urge people not to be misled by the positive comments and to pay close attention to the critical reviews.
This has been an extremely frustrating experience, and I hope my review helps others avoid the same situation. Always ensure that any repair person provides:
* A proper business name
* A physical address
* A written quotation with clear terms
* Verified reviews
Based on my experience, I strongly advise avoiding this individual entirely.
