I have had the pleasure of working with the Travel Risk Academy over the past number of months and have been consistently impressed by the quality of both the training and the people behind it.
The courses are practical, engaging and based on real operational experience rather than just theory. Complex subjects are explained in a way that is easy to understand and immediately applicable in the workplace.
What stands out most is the genuine commitment to improving professional standards in travel risk management. The instructors are knowledgeable, approachable and always willing to discuss real-world scenarios and best practice.
I would have no hesitation in recommending the Travel Risk Academy to anyone looking to develop their knowledge or their organisation's travel risk capability.

The Travel Risk Academy is an outstanding resource for anyone serious about travel risk management. What sets it apart is the exceptional depth of independent expertise, bringing together a broad range of experienced practitioners, specialist service providers, and subject matter experts from across the industry.
The Academy offers an impressive collection of resources and practical training programs that support both travel risk management operators and those responsible for developing and implementing organisational travel risk strategies. The content is grounded in real-world experience, current best practice, and practical application rather than theory alone.
Perhaps most importantly, the Travel Risk Academy has fostered a knowledgeable and collaborative community that continually challenges industry practices and encourages organisations to raise standards. Its commitment to promoting and advancing the principles and benchmarks of ISO 31030 makes it an invaluable platform for professionals seeking to improve their travel risk capability and governance.
Highly recommended for organisations and individuals looking to strengthen their travel risk management programs and stay at the forefront of industry best practice.

I have been involved with the Travel Risk Academy as a mentor for some time now, so this is written from inside the tent rather than as a paying student, and I think that vantage point is worth something. Plenty of organisations in this space talk about community. Very few build one where mentors, practitioners, vendors and students genuinely mix and where the learning runs in both directions.
What stands out most is how easy the people are to work with. Mentors are given real latitude to shape content around their own expertise, whether that is technology and data, executive protection, insurance or accommodation risk, and the founders are responsive, organised and open to challenge. There is no ego layer to fight through. Ideas raised in one webinar or community session tend to resurface as actual courses, tools or frameworks a few months later, which tells you the organisation listens.
For students and members, the education is properly structured rather than a loose collection of opinions. The ATHE-accredited qualifications, the practical frameworks and the summit programme give people a genuine route into travel risk management, and the scholarship intakes have brought in emerging professionals from four continents. Members also get direct exposure to a working network of experienced practitioners, which for most people entering this discipline is the hardest thing to find on their own.
If you work in travel, security, HR or duty of care and want to develop real capability in travel risk management, this is where I would start.

I was employed as a freelance graphic and web designer for this company. Invoices fell behind and after a few emails, they promised to pay me in installments if i kept doing their work for them as they needed their latest ATHE level 5 qualification to go live. Once that was completed, they terminated my services, blocked me from all accounts and stopped paying me. They continue to use my design work on their website. They are dodgy and all their content is made up to secure more sponsorships form the likes of AXA and ANHA.
