I came across what looked like a good price for flights to Australia online.
When I phoned through the price was higher but still competitive. I specifically enquired about flexibility. I was told the flights were not flexible but that in reality it only meant paying an admin fee and any difference in the flight costs.
When I did need to change flights it proved utterly prohibitive — as much as buying completely new flights.
In the end it cost me 30 percent of the cost to amend a quarter of the tickets meaning my holiday is cut short and the family is split travelling.
