TradePlanr is job-management software built in the UK for UK tradespeople — plumbers, gas and heating engineers, electricians, fire and security installers, builders, roofers, renewables installers and general trades. It runs on iPhone, Android and any web browser, and it is offline-first: work recorded in a plant room, loft or basement with no signal syncs automatically when your phone reconnects. From one app you can run the whole job: a job diary and team calendar, branded VAT-correct quotes, estimates and invoices, online card payments by pay-by-link, expense tracking with receipt photos, and real profit per job. TradePlanr also issues over 60 UK compliance certificates straight from your phone — Landlord Gas Safety Records (CP12), Electrical Installation Certificates (EIC), EICRs, Minor Works, PAT testing, OFTEC oil certificates, fire alarm, emergency lighting and renewables paperwork — with digital customer signatures that are legally recognised under UK law. Certificates and sign-offs are stored against the job and can be sent to the customer in seconds. Invoices, payments and expenses sync to Xero, QuickBooks and FreeAgent, so nothing is entered twice. TradePlanr is free to start, with a flat-price Pro plan and no per-user charges. Support comes directly from the team that builds the app.

Tradeplnr is game changing in the sole…

Tradeplnr is game changing in the sole trader/multitrade businesses

Utilising it to share jobs between my team and subbies, links to maps, ease of information, fast invoicing, the notifications to viewed quotes/invoices

I work in gas and renewables and the certification has become a bit of a joke but this app gets me everything I need, with prompts for service reminders, everything the other apps do but a fraction of the cost.

Not to mention the toolkit which gets me commissioning info, video links, fault codes for all various appliance types - honestly class

Brilliant kit at a fraction of some of the other trade apps which only specialise in 1 skill set

Positives- Responsiveness, Professionalism, Value

We’ve been using TradePlanr to manage our installation jobs, and it has made a massive difference to how we run day-to-day. Before this, we were constantly losing track of handwritten notes, chasing late payments, and wrestling with cluttered spreadsheets.
What I like most is how simple it is to use on site. You can generate a professional quote with your own branding, get the customer to sign off digitally on the spot, and snap before/during/after photos directly into the job file. The ability to send quotes and invoices straight through WhatsApp and SMS on the Pro plan is a total game-changer for keeping in touch with clients.
It covers the whole pipeline smoothly: diary scheduling, job costing, material expenses, certificates, and instant online card payments through Stripe. At £9.99/month, it pays for itself almost instantly.
If you're a UK tradesperson looking to drop the paperwork headaches without paying for overly complex enterprise software, I highly recommend giving TradePlanr a go. Absolute lifesaver for small trade businesses
