Opted for the £5 subscription (24hr service).

Although I could not find the person I was searching for, this is a helpful service overall. Other reviews might be due to people not knowing how this website works, (very understandable), as it is laid out in an old fashion sorta format - which can be difficult to navigate, but as I am tach savvy, I got my way through and found out other really good pieces of information for just a fiver- I can assure you this site does the job!

Complete waste of time this couldn’t find a articulated lorry in a haystack. I named the address the date of birth everything and it still couldn’t find a person I was looking for. All I wanted to do was check the birth year for their birthday.

This is definitely a bogus operation providing a service at a cost that doesn’t deliver. Pay cheap and likely to get zilch, zero, nothing in return. This company reels you in on its low price to get your personal data and from postings here it then sells that data. I would be sceptical on the positive postings as amount to less than you can count on one hand. In return for your money it is likely like so many people state here they can’t even navigate the site or find their own details of family members on it! Advice is put your money and secure data in a company and service that delivers what you require. There are reputable firms endorsed by trustpilot who are genuine at passionate at getting the information you may need. One great company is FindUKPeople they have a professional website and customer service you can contact for queries before you part with your hard earned cash. If they fail to find a trace you get a refund....but if they find what you want a report is generated with the information you have paid for. Good luck. Remember one bad apple doesn’t make all the other apples bad!

Seemingly dishonest. I did a free search that turned up 4 records so I paid for 24 hours access. Repeated the search and it turned up no records. I was prepared for the records to possibly not be relevant but totally fictitious was a surprise. I will contact my credit card provider and claim the payment back they did not provide what they promised ie access to the 4 records.

Took a 24hr search but it was useless did not find the person I was looking for on the electorate roll. I gave up impossible to navgate the site.Is a complete scam. Don't waste your money.

This site is a scam. It is incapable of even finding my own details let alone others. The various links on its web pages are all dead including what is supposed to be a hyperlinked complain 'here' section. It's the same as setting fire to money, don't even think about trying it

For some reason they ended my contract with then a few days before it should have. Not happy. Now prices has gone up too!

Quickest waste of £12.50 in my (long) life. Tells me the people searched for opted out of the electoral roll - utter rubbish. Oh, yeah, and clicking "Contact" did absolutely nothing.

Please do not sign up to this service. You do not even get the information it shows prior to signing up. Complete scam. No contact details, no information comes up in searches. Phone number is premium line so can't call it. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

This company falsely advertises its services as an effective search tool. ABSOLUTELY WRONG! This service is non existent. I ask anyone who has had any success to speak up. I was so frustrated at throwing money away! I even tried finding family members with known details and the search found NOTHING? I URGE EVERYONE TO NOT USE TRACEGENIE AS I HAVE CONCERNS ABOUT IT'S LEGITIMACY???? It's scary that these people have my debit card details!!!

Utterly useless and confusing on-line instructions.
No English speakers on the help line.

I live in Spain and knew that the information I required was on an electoral roll.
It seemed impossible to get help anywhere, local councils, registries or local solicitors.
I paid for a one day membership and BINGO!!!
It would help if there was helpline or telephone to make the search procedure easier.

I agree with all the other reviews. Wish I'd read them first. Absolutely useless. No guidance how to enter search criteria; no apparent meas of progressing from the login page? Just back up then you're not logged in any more. I'm going to try to get my money back via Trading Standards or whatever. Dreadful scam.

I thankfully only paid for 24 hour access. But this site is useless. The search function is clunky. Then it never finds anyone. I searched a name that is very common, yet they found not one single person in the entire country with that name.

It can't find me or my husband. Or any of my family.

It is just a total scam!

Poor, offers nothing more than can be found in standard telephone directory.

This site is not perfect but its very usefull. When someone in the past agreed to share their details you can find it. I manage to find people and check company directors. Usefull tool. I would change background or font for a bigger one on name/surname field as if you scroll serching for a 30min+ my eyesight start to get tired.

I paid for the 24 hour membership and received a confirmation from SagePay saying that the money had been taken but TraceGenie still insists that I have no subscriptions. Contacted them but received no reply.
Terrible!

I would prefer to give ZERO out of 5 but have to pick at least one ☆
Please done waste your money on this sh++ site! The info is pants, I searched myself to test it. Result: nothing! Not my marriage my address or anything on me! Crap crap crap!!!

My details were also sold to Jehova's Witnesses by this site. They are not responding to emails and need to be reported to the ICO for this breach of privacy.
