Does this company even have customer service? I had to rebook an event last August due to an injury and I have been emailing them ever since I’ve never had a reply. Genuinely shocking. I’m hoping someone can pick this up here and I can actually deal with somebody able to reschedule my event.

Would not match the Black Friday sale

Bought two tickets before Black Friday and then for the Black Friday sale they were 2 for 1. I asked for the same deal but was told no. For the sake of that money they gained, I will never race with them again. And I would of done it every year swell

DO NOT buy tickets from this company

Terrible experience — save yourself the trouble and DO NOT buy tickets from this company.

We purchased tickets months in advance for an event in NSW, Australia, for a group of 10 people. On top of the tickets, we spent significant money on domestic flights and accommodation for the entire group.

At the time of purchase, the Terms & Conditions clearly stated that refunds would be issued if the event was cancelled. However, shortly before the event date, the organisers cancelled it claiming the field was “too muddy.” Conveniently, the Terms & Conditions were then changed to state that refunds were no longer possible.

Since the cancellation, we have made multiple attempts to contact them, only to receive generic, copy-paste responses with no real explanation or resolution.

As a result, our group lost $1,600 AUD in ticket costs alone, plus additional losses in flights and accommodation. This is completely unacceptable and feels incredibly misleading and dishonest.

Zero accountability, zero customer service. I strongly recommend avoiding this company altogether.

Such a shame what Tough Mudder has become...

Such a shame what Tough Mudder has become. First time for me was a few years ago, and it was fun! Now it just seems to be about cramming in as many people as possible whilst charging as much as possible and not caring if you like it or not...
The queue just to check in at London South on 20th September was over 1hr long. We missed our start time. There was so many people on the course, we would've had to wait 30+ minutes on many obstacles just to get on them. When the rain started, it was cold and miserable - people were shivering in the queue. It started to look dangerous, so we felt forced to bypass many obstacles just to be able to complete the course safely. I did receive a reply to my complaint, but along the lines of "we'll take it on-board, here's s 20% discount code for next time..." I won't be using it - won't do a Tough Mudder again...

Ignoring transfer requests despite contacting before cut-off

I’m very disappointed with my experience with Tough Mudder UK. I was due to take part in London South but became unwell and couldn’t attend. I reached out on live chat before the transfer deadline (it was offline at the time) and immediately followed up with an email request to transfer my registration to another date. Despite doing everything within the rules, I’ve had no reply at all.

There’s no phone number to call, live chat is unreliable, and my emails are simply being ignored. For an organisation of this size, that’s unacceptable.

I’m not asking for anything unreasonable — just to be transferred to the 10 May 2026 Tough Mudder, which is fully in line with their own stated policy. If Tough Mudder won’t even respond to genuine customer requests, I’ll have no choice but to escalate through my bank and share my experience more widely.

I really hope they prove me wrong and resolve this quickly, as the events themselves are great — but the customer service right now is letting the brand down badly.

Nonexistent customer service

Changed the date of their event in NSW, Australia as ground was too wet to set up obstacles (you’d imagine wet ground would be desirable for this type of event). Their website clearly stated refunds were an option in the event of a changed date but they quickly changed the wording when requests for refunds started flooding in. Sent generic automated emails hiding behind Ts & Cs to anyone requesting a refund. Even though I found someone to transfer my ticket to, they still charge you $20 for said transfer. Worst company I have ever dealt with and will never deal with them again. I would suggest you save yourself the trouble too as they will do absolutely nothing to help you.

We brought tickets

We brought tickets, accomodation etc in Australia. They cancelled it and rescheduled a date we could not do and then turned around as said tough luck and refused to refund?

The worst company I have ever dealt with.

Tough Mudder South West 2025 - not that tough or muddy

This was my first Tough Mudder and honestly, it was not worth the money at all.
We queued for half an hour to park, queued for nearly an hour to check in (there was no phone signal at the event so people could not access their tickets/QR codes), we then queued for another hour to actually start the race.
The groups you set off with are MASSIVE, so when they do the warm up at the start there’s not enough room to do anything.
When you start you catch up to the previous group so quickly and the queues for obstacles are huge. I did the 5km as I assumed it would be constant moving, however I probably stood still waiting for longer than I was moving for and due to this could have easily done the 15km.
The obstacles were nothing like advertised and only 2 we did involved any mud.
The craw under barbed wire was just crawling in dry soil that was covered in bits of glass and when I raised it to a marshal they went “we haven’t seen any glass” and walked away from us.

We started the course around 14:00 and finished about 16:00, due to the excessive queues at each obstacle. The queues were mainly caused by the excess amount of wall obstacles, because if you’ve struggled to get up one wall, you’re going to struggle to get up the 4 more that are exactly the same.
There needed to be a better variety of obstacles that are actually tough and muddy. Bigger obstacles to fit more people on or significantly smaller groups would have helped massively.

An event that seems to just be about earning as much money as possible by putting as many people as possible through the course, rather than making it a fun experience for people.

1/5 as at least I got a tan from standing around!

Last month I paid for my son to take…

Last month I paid for my son to take part in the kids 3k run on August 16th.
The funds have been taken from my account but apart from a generic email I have nothing to refer to regarding the event.
I have attempted numerous times to make contact but all I receive is an email stating that someone will contact me within 3 business days - this of course never happens.
I have received no registration number or tickets and I am concerned that when we arrive we will be turned away for having no documentation.
I'm trying to find out if there is a governing body to claim my money back and make an official complaint.
Please avoid at all cost.

Seems to have gone downhill a lot

Seems to have gone downhill a lot. We have done a lot of these now and the recent one in Skipton was the worst organised we've done. The traffic management and parking situation was shocking, it took us nearly an hour to move half a mile. The obstacles around the course were much poorer this time, one was called 'swamp run' and it was actually drier than the mud we walked through to get to the main entrance from the car park. Also the obstacles seemed to all be situated near the end, so for us doing the 15k we basically ran 12k then did the obstacles, might as well just done the 5k really.

Final sting, which is making myself and my group of mates reconsider for next time, is that they have now started charging for spectators and also £30 per person for the official photos, which were previously free. Significant jump in cost on top of an already cost 'run'.

Shame because we have really enjoyed doing them over the years but it's becoming slowly less fun and more cost.

Very poor customer service

Incredibly poor communication, unresponsive to requests for help, they don’t offer advice (you have find out something and then ask for it, rather than them inform you of the options). No refunds but they don’t help you solve problems either, or reply.

Such a shame. Enjoyed the race a couple of years ago with friends, after this year’s experience we won’t ever use this lot again - there are alternatives out there that have far better customer service experiences.

Tough mudder scotland 2025 = awful

Tough mudder scotland 2025 = awful. Only went as a spectator and felt like I needed a medal at the end lol. Poor traffic management in and out, yes we all know there’s too many cars on the roads these days but surely plan with that in mind?! Took hours to get in and out. Then the wee food area where the food trucks were was deffo not big enough. Also had to queue for food for like 45 mins. The routing and signage system in that area was pish too 😂 lots of bottlenecking. And don’t even want to mention the state of the portaloos 🤢

Tough Mudder 2025 - Scotland

First and last I reckon. For some reason there was last minute changes to the obstacles, either several of the big name ones they had been advertising with removed from the line up just days before.

One obstacle was literally walking in a burn for about 20 metres that claimed “danger 4 feet depth”, it didn’t even touch your knees. Another had you pick up a car tire and walk around a field in a circle, it was honestly just embarrassing.

The optionally £26 for professional photos was a complete waste of money as only about 5 of the twenty obstacles even had a photographer, several didn’t have any staff there at all.

The whole thing just felt understaffed and mismanaged. Would not recommend.

I have entered the Worlds Toughest…

I have entered the Worlds Toughest Mudder in UK 2025. It's 24 hours and 100 miles. It costs money and you need a support team, which also costs money.

Cut to getting a spot to pitch up your tent for you pit crew and this is where it started to go wrong. I tried so many times to get a spot that was marked in yellow (grey colour means allocated and yellow is available). It never worked and I tried for days. I reached out to the race director via email and was effectively told "When the checkout button does not appear it means that that pit spot is already taken." Erm, why is it in yellow then? Followed by "It is a error with the ticketsocket website that it is showing C1 & C2 as available, as they are not." No kidding! that's what I have been saying all along and sent you screenshots to illustrate this. Dont you think its reasonable you should help me get a spot seeing as it is your website that is not working and now I'm worried that even if I do manage to get a spot, it may be an error and i end up with none?

Please sort out your customer service, god knows we are all paying alot for this and deserve better.

Farcical

Farcical.

Organisation was just painful. 2 hours traffic jam to park. 2 hour traffic jam to leave. 45 mins to check in. Fairly tame boring course (no tear gas in the tunnel, no ice in the oce bath, broken ski obstacle, etc). Spent £75 for ticket and I would have had more fun and harded work out just going for jog. Will not be coming back for another event.

Tough Mudder Scotland was a shambles

Tough Mudder Scotland was a shambles. Very disappointed. If you like a 2 hour queue to get into a car park and then queues at every obstacle (which were pretty poor to be honest) then this is for you. Take the family to and it makes it even more fun!? Kids love being stuck in a car that long. Very disappointed and won't be going to a tough Mudder again
