Do not believe unless it’s in writing

I got the 5 year plan with no changes in my payment. I bought a phone from total wireless and got internet service. I was penalized and had the 5 year plan cancelled. After telling me I was going to pay $65.00 dollars for both services. Now I’m told it’s $100 dollars for both and no 5 year plan. So they offered me $75.00 a month. Do not believe them they say so many lies I lost count. I had autopay and they charge double.verizon did this.

Service is optional with Total Wireless with Verizon its painful.

I don't know what people are complaining about. I went to total wireless 4 months ago to take my wife off my Verizon plan. I got her a brand new Moto 5G cellphone. Paid half price for it and got 2 months free service. Im saving $45 a month on Total wireless. Im actually considering going off Verizon myself. Total wireless uses the same network as Verizon.

Another horrible customer service review

The customer service with Total Wireless is completely ridiculous. I guess you could say they really don’t have customer service. If you call, they will direct you to automated help. Trying to speak with a live agent is almost impossible, but it can happen and when it does, it now becomes worse. The live agent will come on and most of the times you can not understand them as they are from a different county. They have a strict policy of reading a script telling you what they feel and they are not concerned with your problem. If they can not fix your problem then you will never be allowed to speak with a supervisor. They will tell you they have answered you questions and will completely refuse to allow you to speak with someone else. That is not an option. If you can’t get your problem fixed then you have to go back to the store and they will then call those same rude people and have the same problem understanding them and most likely not be able to get them to help either. Hopefully they will have a member of the company working at one of the stores that can find a work around to get your problem fixed. Now, the big question is why Total Wireless? Well, most people have large families and this is the better option to get phone service for the entire family at reduced costs. The company is owned by Verizon and you also get the benefit of being on the Verizon network. The problem is the Total Wireless portion of this company is run so bad that Verizon should be embarrassed but why be embarrassed when the CEO has a base salary of 1.5 million and earnings of 24.16 million. Now you as the person trying to get phone service for your family and you struggle to pay for your phone service every month, Verizon’s CEO is not concerned with his horrible customer service one little bit. He knows that he will make more and more money every year and we will struggle to pay our phone bills and deal with customer service representatives from another country that will refuse to assist or help in any way possible. I wanted to contact a member of the company with the problems I have, but there is no information or way of contacting the company with your issues. If I were to give a review of Total Wireless or even Verizon say they have great coverage and should be proud of that. The phones they offer are good, however if does feel like they get the phones that the makers are trying to get rid of. The customer service is as I said a zero on any scale. So if the CEO of Verizon was to read this review, I’m not trying to be rude to you but you really should be embarrassed that you have such horrible customer service.

Total deactivated and sold my number after 7 months of non-use

I bought a phone snd after 2 months didn't need it so put it away. 7 months later I go to pay for service and the phone number and IMEI number of my phone has been sold by them to someone else and they state I either have to buy a new phone or if I register a new email address with them they will 'fix' my issues with a new IMEI and phone number? Really? Sound like a scam. its a no contract phone but if I don't continue to pay you monthly you sell my phone number? No notification sent. And if IMEI numbers are like socials, how do you remove it from the phone? Very crooked!

TERRIBLE SYSTEM & AWEFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE

As everyone else has said they deserve 0 bars. Sent me a phone that wouldn't connect. Then sent a replacement phone that was of lesser quality than what I purchased. After wasting at at least 8 hours of my life over a month with customer service I was forced to deal with the lesser phone. I WILL NEVER SIGN UP WITH THEM AGAIN. YOU SHOULDN'T EITHER

I WANT MY $40!!!!!!!

In March 2024, I decided to go with total wireless. I bought a $40 prepaid card. I brought my unlocked phone with a total wireless SIM card in it. I was told by two different people to cut my phone off and cut it back on and it would be activated. IT WAS NOT. Then because it was so urgent that I have a cell phone I had to generate another new cell phone number. Let me reiterate. I PAID TOTAL WIRELESS $40 AND NEVER GOT TO USE IT. still wanting to give them a chance I move forward after dropping the new cell phone number that I had generated so I returned to total wireless this time. My phone was activated during the last year with total wireless. It hasn’t been great, but I’ve stayed , last week. I had to call customer service seven times before I got my issue resolved this afternoon. I texted the word.BALANCE to 611611. they told me that my service is inactive and I need to reactivate my service. How can that be when I currently have service? I wanted to know my data usage so I had the total app and I deleted it and reinstalled it so when I put in my phone number, it asked me for a password I had forgotten my password so they sent me a link to my email to reset my password. I reset my password and went to login and it said. YOU HAVE ENTERED THE INCORRECT PASSWORD. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES I AM STILL YET TO BE ABLE TO LOGIN INTO MY ACCOUNT VIA THE APP. TOTAL WIRELESS IS CRAP!!!!!!! DO NOT USE TOTAL WIRELESS!!!!!

Would have gave less

Would have gave less. Garbage company and horrible service. I have used Total Wireless for a long time. Was great before Verizon now trash. Service is worse than ever in places I never had issues. It is like that on my family's iPhones and Google . All the sudden we supposedly used a ton of data even though have never really had issues. My wife bought an Extra 5 gigs of data and supply we used it in a day???????? Called to find out which phone or on what / where and said they couldn't say but just that it was used. I think it is bullshit as our service is so bad we HAVE to use Wifi for Internet at home and some calls. Would highly recommend a different provider

Terrible company

Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever had to deal with anywhere. I was a customer for almost 2 years because I was trapped in a phone lease agreement. I have never been treated so badly. Any time I had to contact customer service it was a nightmare.

Constantly Get Disconnected

I had been using Total Wireless since 2018 with minimal problems, then it changed to Total by Verizon and the troubles started. In the last few months, our phone service has been disconnected with no warning before my end of service date. Getting service back has on has been a nightmare. When I try to pay by bill early, my money goes to a wallet, but doesn't pay the bill. I'm probably going to switch to someone else soon, because I can't have such unreliable service.

Addendum: Third month in a row now that they disconnected me before my bill was due. My autopay was set up, everything looks fine. There is even money sitting in the wallet. They can't give me any reason this is happening. I'm switching to a new service. This was their last chance.

Absolute trash

Absolute trash! Phone powers off anytime it wants to. Shuts down while trying to make calls, if another call comes in or just when it’s sitting unused. My phone number had to be sold to every spam list available because from the moment I had service with total I was inundated with spam calls all day every day from morning til night. Agent signed me up for insurance that I didn’t ask for and neglected to disclose that your bill is higher if you pay at a store. Data is so slow that you may as well not have any so if you need a phone for work this isn’t it. You would be better off using to cans and some string!

Warning stay AWAY from Total Wireless

Warning stay AWAY from Total Wireless! I spent TWO weeks trying to get help w my new IPhone and service that sucks. My phone is defective. Service is so slow. I literally waited on hold for hours. Even when I chose the option to have them call me back I answered and was put straight on hold for 44 minutes! I tried getting the info for a refund when I realized what a nightmare it was going to be and no one would help me. On the last day eligible I just got dicked around while they stalled trying to send me outside of the company to a paid service to try and fight for my money back. Now I’m stuck w a phone that sucks, 3 months of pre paid service that sucks and brain damage from trying to get some simple help. This is the worst experience I have ever had w a telecommunications company. Verizon should be ashamed.

I would give 0 star if possible. When I ordered my new phone, they sent me a used one instead. I spent hours chatting with their customer service to get a return label. After I returned it, they never exchange or refund me. I called multiple times trying to resolve this. Their customer service was never helpful despite the waiting time is hours. This company is a total scam. Avoid with all cost!!
