I’ve spoken to many companies and they were not able to offer what total has offered me. Ryan Anderson was my salesman and he did an excellent job with me. He didn’t rush and explained everything making me feel really comfortable. He was very professional. I really appreciate it. Looking forward to working with you. Keep up the good work.

Stay far away fromTAP

Purchased extended warranty from company very unhappy with service. Advised can cancel and will be reimbursed prorated amount of policy. Per company sent request via email and was told refund will be processed in 30 days. This was in January 2024. After placing several calls to company and being told on 3 occasions that a check was issued and lost in mail was told a check would be sent fed ex and tracking number emailed. Last promised check was to be issued on May 24. Was advised by rep that email will follow with tracking number. Since January I have called and spoke with company no less then 20 times and each time have been told check is sent. I would not recommend doing ANY business with TAP

RUN AWAY AND KEEP RUNNING! DON'T LOOK BACK!

Just when I needed my warranty company to step up!I paid a lot of money for an auto warranty through Total Auto Protect. (An installment loan) Once my policy was in force, the digital copy was only available online for a limited time. I tried to access it multiple times to make sure of what was covered. As I Was not able to do so I emailed my representative asking for a copy multiple times. I received no response. When I started calling them I would wait on hold and be cut off each and every time. This prevented me from talking to a real person. When I finally got hold of a real person it took me four attempts that day after getting cut off. I was then told that my Installment payment was due that day and a notation had been made to my account. I responded that I could make that payment that very day but was told that I would have to wait thirty days for it To reactivate my coverage. The representative named glenn said he would have to talk to the payment department and see if it was possible to wave the thirty day reactivation period. They would be sure to call me back The next day. I received.
No calls from total auto.Protect the next day or any other. Since it was close to the weekend I did call them and was told by their answering service that they would send them a message in this regard. They never called me back of course. 3 days later, I called them and once again.Talked to glenn. Of course, the waiver was declined and I was So.L. But they would be more than happy to allow me to reactivate my
Warranty. I would, of course have to wait my 30 days! I needed my car then and there! I couldn't wait 30 days.

RUN AND KEEP RUNNING AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AS POSSIBLE!!!

No authorized to Write Business in CA

Purchased a contract from Total Auto Protect approximately 6 months ago, paid $4805 since they said they did not do monthly payments. About a month ago I read an article that stated that they were not authorized to provide coverage in California. I inquired with TAP and their response on April 25th was they did not have my address on file and unfortunately they did not provide service in my area and would be canceling and refunding my payment. I’m still waiting for my refund. Be aware they are not authorized to write in California. I’ve inquired several times and the last response is it will take 10-14 days to process. It had already been that long. I’m still waiting and wondering if I will need to take further action.

Purchased the warranty in good faith

Purchased the warranty in good faith, to cover my 2010 Honda CRV. Needed service 6 months later, denied. I canceled coverage 04-2024 and it has been over a month (05-09-2024) and I was just informed, " My cancelation email went into the SPAM folder!" Bull****!!!!! The phone tag is ridiculous and the customer service and follow up is horrible!!!!! Not a good company to do business with!!!!!!

scam company

the date of experience, is estimated. I bought this warranty to cover my trike motorcycle. the agent I spoke with guaranteed and assured me they cover what Harley warranty covers. the first time I needed them, they denied the claim. (Harley does cover it). I had run out of the Harley warranty when I purchased with TAP. I called to discontinue the service and ask for my refund. they informed me how to go about the process. I did so, and still to this date, no refund. I have called no answer and goes straight to voice mail. I have tried several times, but to no avail. i don't recommend anyone getting this company. they are a scam artist.

If I could give them a 0 I would do so

If I could give them a 0 I would do so. I paid several thousand dollars for an extended warranty for my car. Had the policy for a year before I filed a claim. I have left over a dozen messages and sent as many emails but no response. My claim is covered under the premier policy which I purchased. I suspect they are going out of business or simply a corrupt company who won't honior claims.

Absolute Scam and a waste of thousands

Will absolutely not cover anything for you. Do NOT purchase anything through this company. Keep your money and either go with a different company or save it to pay for your repairs yourself because that is what you are going to end up doing. I took my car in and was told the Ball Joints are leaking and are failing. I looked at my welcome packet and it lists that ball joints are covered. My service advisor called and told Total Auto Protect that my ball joints were leaking and are failing. They said it is listed as covered and he will get a response within 24-48 hours. He never received a call. I called myself at 47 hours and was transferred to a person who has 0 contact with total auto protect. She took my name and number down and said someone will give me a call back within 24 hours, never got a call back. She also advised that I send an email to claimsattotalautoprotect.com, I sent 2, and still no response. I called at the 60 hour mark and was told that my service advisor would receive a call later that day, they were sorry it was taking so long and they had system issues, and that they had the approval, he never did get a call. I called total auto protect again at 72 hours and was again told that they had the answer and that they were having system issues and they will call later today. I told the guy no, you will call right now because you told me that exact same excuse yesterday. Maybe that made him mad, I don't know. But he then actually called the service advisor and told him it was denied because he said Worn ball joints are not covered. My service advisor told Total Auto protect that he never said they were worn, he said they were failing and leaking. The total auto protect guy just said well, we don't cover worn and it is denied. I now have called multiple times and they will no longer answer the phone so I believe they can see my phone number and are ignoring it. Waste of $2,586 for absolute terrible customer service, no coverage, and they just literally stole money.

Don't Do It!

I had to give it one star because there is no zero star option. I filed a claim for an issue which clearly was covered in the contract. They danced around the issue and declined to cover the repair. They refused to refund my premium as well. Thankfully, I paid for it with a credit card. I disputed the charge and received a full refund. I think that this company is a total scam.

Total Auto Crap!

On and around July 3, 2023 I purchased an extended warranty for my 2016 BMW seven series with this company called Total Auto Protect.
I Jason Wilford from TAP gave me the song and pony show about how great their coverage is and how it would protect my car. He then went on to say they basically mirror the BMW bumper-to-bumper warranty. This guy will tell you anything to get a sale so he can make his commission.
So I purchased their three-year 30,000 mile warranty for $5000 contract number TAP223326432 from Jason Wilford .
And I gave Mr. Woolford via email all the documentation required and pictures of my car, pictures of the dashboard, etc. etc.
In and around September 21, I had a warning notification pop up about my chassis. I called and made an appointment with Peterson BMW in Boise. This is a very reputable and outstanding BMW dealership. My car was taken in and seen by Peterson BMW on 9-25-2023. They diagnosed the car with several problems with the chassi. There was also some suspension and some other issues.
I called TAP to report a claim on 9-27-2023, filled out all the proper paperwork, sent the report from BMW to them, and waited. Several days pass by with no email or phone notification from TAP so I reached out to them. They informed me there were some paperwork that wasn’t done. Come to find out they had it in their file and didn’t upload it.
So now the claim continued. At this time TAP said they were going to review the claim and send out an inspector to view the car. I waited 4 days and heard nothing from TAP nor had BMW heard anything from TAP. Once again, I called TAP to find out what the status of my claim was and at that time they told me it was denied. I asked him the reason for the denial, especially when they never talk to BMW and said it was due to a WORN part.
THIS IS INCORRECT! NO WHERE IN THE DIAGNOSTIC REPORT FROM BMW DID IT SAY THE DAMAGE WAS DONE BY A WORN! THE REPORT STATES IT WAS CAUSED BY A BROKEN PART! Nobody from BMW told TAP that the cause was a worn part. Actually, Mr. Miller the service tech at BMW, told them several times after we received the denial that it was a BROKEN part. This claim is well with in my agreement with TAP!
TAP never sent the promise Inspector. Nor did TAP send me by either email or a phone call the decision of the denial. To this day I still do not have a in writing explanation of the denial.
I have tried on several occasions to contact Jason Wilford at TAP. Jason refused to return my phone calls and finally he responded to one of my emails stating that this had been turned over to a claim department. I called claims department again and then they turned the case over to a supervisor. The supervisor said he will reopen the claim and get back to me in a couple of days. It’s been over a week now and still have not heard anything from TAP. I called Jason once again and emailed him to ask what the supervisors name was. No response from Jason. Jason and TAP seem to be eager to take your money and answer all your phone calls at the sales point. But when it comes to a claim, it’s a ghost town. In my book this is called a SCAM. I reviewed their Better Business Bureau reviews and there seems to be a lot of other people being taken by the same company. They leave me no other choice but to file and take them to court. Now I have my car sitting at the BMW service department. I cannot drive the car and have a chance to cause further damage. So TAP does not care about your welfare, your car, or any hardship this causes you. TAP will completely ignore you in hopes that you will go away.

Sam was the man

Sam was the man! He did a great job of presenting my policy options and providing reassurance when I told him about some negative reviews on BBB. You could tell how enthusiastic he was about Total Auto Protect which made my decision to purchase the Premier package that much easier.
