SCAMMERS!!!! CHECK YOUR CREDIT CARD AFTER PURCHASE!!
We were told that the price was $49.99..the lady was moving fast steady walking away with my friend phone( that's how you board through an app)! Well we both check our credit card and they charged both of us $110.00 per card!! I called customer service & she was very rude!! THIS COMPANY IS A RIP OFF!! NEVER AGAIN NEW YORK SCAM!!
The last Blue Bus is suppose to be 4:30 (not true)
Gee, I read your reviews and I did not see any good ones. You really need to be more honest. I was sold 3 Adult tickets for $192 and was told we had plenty of time to take the Red Bus and the Blue Bus and see New York. We purchased the tickets on 10-11-22 at 11:38 a.m. outside the New York Central Train Station. We were told we had plenty of time. We rode the Red Bus and never got off because we wanted to make sure we saw everything and then we would get off and see somethings. We never got to ride the Blue Bus, because they said the last one leaves at 4:30 and we got there at 4:20. Your employee was upset because she said people get mad at her but she can't help it the company does not tell what time the buses stop. There were other passengers there angry too. We didn't get to see New York Central Park!!!Central Park Zoo, Carnegie Hall, and 4 other special places. I believe we should get half of our ticket price back. We probably won't get to New York Again. Nebraska is a long ways away. You can send refund to : Linda Mendoza 6621 Eastshore Drive, Lincoln, NE 68516
To whom it may concern,
To whom it may concern,
My name is Marvell Calloway. I'm a former employee of TopView SightSeeing Company.
While working for this company I've encountered many obstacles(Problems). One of which I almost got into a major accident
while driving, dealing with customers not following instructions (No standing while the Bus is in motion) and also insufficient equipment(Bus Maintenance malfunction).
While maneuvering around a major accident a customer got up out of their seat and walked up to me while I was driving and asked "Can you let me out right here".
Now I remind you I'm Driving around a major accident trying to keep the Bus that I'm operating from being involved in that accident or causing another accident.
Another incident while working for this company is when they scheduled me to do a Night Tour.I had no issue with doing the Night Tour as it was scheduled.
But how am I going to do the Night Tour at night, when the HeadLights on the Bus doesn't work?
What am I supposed to do? Drive off of instinct?
Then the company switched out Buses on me in order for me to drive but the Bus that they switched me with couldn't be turned off.
If the bus was turned off it couldn't crank back up; only a mechanic from the company knew how to start it up.
So the Bus has to stay running.
The New York City Administrative Code, Title 24, Section 24-163 establishes that no person should allow the engine of a motor vehicle to idle for longer than three minutes while parking, standing, or sitting.
As a CDL class A Driver I don't recommend working for this company.Unless you want to take that 10,000 sign on bonus to spend on a lawyer to get Points and Violations off your License and/or Record.
Xmas night from helll
Dont bother vey unprofessional, waited over an hour xmas night with disabled child with no bus in sight.
Clueless staff who didnt care
Do not waste your money
Do not waste your money, massively over priced, and don’t fulfil described experience! Very poor company
Miss sold tickets
Miss sold tickets in a street hussell. Given 4 day pass when pushing the 5 day with all the add on's at a discount. Didnt use the buss in the end as new york streets were crowded, you could walk faster and use the subway(Christmas time). When I tried to book the ferry trip was when I realised i was missold. I am waiting customer service response.
Scam
Do not use! We booked a night tour advertised going over to Brooklyn so you can see the Manhattan skyline on your return - this apparently is no longer an option. They have refused to give me a refund even though they admitted their website is wrong. AVOID.
One of the worst tourist experiences…
One of the worst tourist experiences I've ever had. Ultimately, I was charged $122 to take a bus 2 blocks. Customer service is wildly unhelpful and will not make things right for you. Save your money or choose a different company.
I have never written a review in my life, but this experience was so terrible I feel compelled to save the next person from suffering it. First of all, an employee at the bus stop asked us for $10 for a map. We then discovered the maps are free on the bus. A scam. The "audio tour" is mostly generic music. Nothing useful. Our driver immediately got into an accident and we exited the bus after 2 blocks.
We were unable to get on a bus after that for the following reasons: Almost none of the stops are clearly marked. We had to ask street vendors for help finding them. It didn't matter anyway because we waited at 2 different stops for 45 minutes and the buses never showed up. Also the "live map" feature they claim on the website does not exist. You cannot tell where the buses are and when they will arrive.
I called customer service only for them to tell me that they do not address customer service over the phone. I emailed their support address and was ignored until I disputed the charges with my credit card company. They are refusing to offer a refund and feel like $122 to go 2 blocks and have to take the subway home in the rain is fair value and the service they want to provide. This meets their standards! Buyer beware.
Please choose a different company for your sightseeing needs in NYC.
Not worth it at all
They do not accommodate for rain other then a plastic poncho, and if the bus is full, you sit upstairs and it leaks everywhere, so you will be freezing and wet. The stops are not well marked at all and the audio guide is not in sync with the route and repeats itself. The drive is uncomfortable and it seems they all have some road rage. Not worth it at all. We left wet, cold and very disappointed.
Awful
Awful ! Total waste if money do not do this tour on peak times ! Tickets oversold, buses full, you will send most of your day standing at bus stops
DONT DO IT !!
DONT DO IT !!! They say the buses come every 15min well thats a bold face lie! Bus drivers were all on they own time schedule and did what they wanted. One driver stopped to get him some food that took 30min. Another driver at every stop had to get out the driver seat and go either off the bus or on the bus and chat with folks. We sat at each stop for about 15 to 20 minutes. They promise you all the sights but you want see them cause time will run out!!! Expensive BS !!!
DO NOT USE - busses run late, miss stops, and app is unreliable.
This company does not hold true to their promise. The busses frequently miss stops to hop on or off, runs very late, and the app is never correct. Many times we arrived ready to hop on in 10 minutes only to be waiting for over 25 minutes. We often decided to just walk as it would be more reliable and faster.
When working with customer service, they could care less. It was ... well, this is a "no refund" thing. So, they really don't want to help you. We feel cheated out of our money. DO NOT use them.
SCAM
SCAM. CON. REPORT THEM. They will cancel tours on you and offer no refunds. Then they’ll say contact customer service and their reps will say you should have booked a different time. It is THE WORST MOST UNETHICAL business I’ve ever spent money on. SAVE YOURS.
Terrible customer service. Overpriced. Slow Do not use these buses unless you are…
Do not use these buses unless you are ready for; 1. Paying way too much. 2. The staff are beyond rude. 3. Long delays while the driver just disappears and says nothing! The only saving grace is that if you can stand the cold and sit upstairs, you can be furthest away from their interactions with customers and each other and actually enjoy the sites of New York. Be prepared for a very slow journey.
totally misleading
totally misleading, waste of money, badly runned, sellers will tell u anything just to make a sale, there in no stop on Ellis island, not immigration museum, the free NY museum is crap
Warning
Warning, if you go to the Statue of Liberty, stop 11 the line will be very long and people got frustrated. One of the staff in this stop is extremely unprofessional and rude. You won’t listen until you get the similar experience.
If there was a zero star that is what I…
If there was a zero star that is what I would rate this bus tour! They were deceitful about the frequency of stops. Prices were different depending on who you spoke with. When I asked about a customer service line I was told to look it up at 42nd and eighth Avenue, DO NOT PURCHASE
Very long lines before the busses.
Very long lines before the busses.
You have to wait 1 hour to get on the bus.
Don't buy tickets in August. It's a waist of money.
New York hop on and off
Landed in New York and thought this would be the best way to see the sights.
We purchased 2 x 48hour passes.
As soon as you start your first tour the clock ticks so bear this in mind.
We did the downtown tour first..it took 2 hours this was primarily due to traffic jams..you can hop on and off but we chose to stop on to see what was worth seeing.
The following day we thought we would take the Brookland tour however got to the pick up point and it did not arrive..they do 1 per day at 0930 which isn't made clear.
We then decided to go on the staute of liberty cruise tour..the queue is horrendous so you need to get their early..
Advice - check the times on line before you go to save u waiting for nothing.
The last day we had a few hours on the ticket but the tour we wanted didn't start until 10pm as we were on UK time this was too late.
So if you are happy to wait around worth using, other wise get in some steps and use the subway.
Buses were frequent staff were helpful…
Buses were frequent staff were helpful got to see a lot of New York and a night tour and Brooklyn tour !!
