Unauthorised recurring charges – partial refund only, refusal to resolve

I was charged multiple recurring payments of by Tool4Ride.com between April and June 2025 without my knowledge or consent.

I did not knowingly sign up to a subscription or membership, did not receive any confirmation emails, and did not receive any goods or services in return. The charges appeared directly on my bank statements as card payments.

When I contacted customer support:
- Tool4Ride refunded only one charge (€6.95)
- They refused to refund the remaining charges
- They claimed the payments were converted into “store credits” and were therefore non-refundable
- They were unable or unwilling to provide any evidence of consent (no sign-up record, timestamp, IP address, or payment authorisation)

Despite repeatedly explaining that these were actual debits from my bank account, the company relied on generic references to their terms and conditions rather than addressing the lack of consent.

As a result, I had no option but to escalate the remaining charges to my bank as unauthorised transactions.

I would strongly advise others to monitor their bank statements carefully and be cautious. Based on my experience, customer support was unhelpful once the issue was disputed and resolution was only partial.
