There's a multitude of black tea blends, but all come from the Camellia Sinensis and traditionally undergo four steps of processing: withering, rolling, oxidation and heat firing. This produces dark brown or black leaves, a slight burnt aroma and rich flavour.

The New Zealand kawakawa leaf addition to organic bergamot is a perfect marriage of flavours. I usually buy the Smoky Grey, and am thrilled with my sample of Northern Grey and will be ordering my usual 4 for the price of 3, to keep my tea caddy full.
