I purchased two paintings and had them shipped to Canada. In addition I asked Ali if he would mind purchasing a Tanzania bracelet for me and send him a picture. Although he was very accommodating and bought the item, sadly it was not the bracelet that I wanted so I was quite disappointed as I was looking forward to having a new one and it meant a lot to me.

I am absolutely thrilled with my entire experience with TingaTinga African Art. I recently purchased three beautiful pieces: the striking 'Mzuguno Style', the captivating 'Humming birds by Majidu', and the profoundly moving 'Our Beautiful Journey' by Janta.
From the very first inquiry, the communication was consistent, friendly, and incredibly supportive.
The quality of the art itself is stunning. The colours are vibrant, the details are exquisite, and each piece carries such powerful emotion and story.
What truly impressed me was the efficiency. The production time was surprisingly short, and the shipping was incredibly fast & well-packaged.
I loved everything about this process. Tinga Tinga African Art doesn't just sell art; they deliver a wonderful experience and a piece of soul for your home. I cannot recommend them highly enough and will certainly be a returning customer.
Thank you for your incredible work.

I commissioned a painting of my cat from Tinga Tinga art. Ali helped me through the process and explained how everything would work. The painting was gorgeous and finished surprisingly quickly! The artist even made a small amendment that I asked for after already being almost finished which was above and beyond.I even received some greetings cards as a gift which was so unexpected and kind. I absolutely recommend them! Gorgeous art and friendly people :)

The artists were really welcoming. I personally enjoyed reliving moments from the Tinga Tinga tales that I used to watch as a kid and to learn the history behind the Tinga Tinga medium of painting and original by Edward Tingatinga was really amazing. I also got the opportunity to learn how to paint in Tinga Tinga.

Living in the UK, I wanted a painting with African roots — and Tingatinga immediately came to mind.
Ali, a longtime friend since our school days, was the perfect person to bring my idea to life. Knowing Ali, he's a perfectionist who thrives on a good challenge, so I shared my vision with him.
He guided me through the process — helped select the colors, offered thoughtful suggestions, and kept me updated every step of the way.
Today, I received the painting — and wow, what a masterpiece! Absolutely love it.
The website is easy to use, and the free shipping is a great bonus—don’t hesitate, you’ll be glad you did!
Thanks,
Ali

The artwork is beautiful and very skilfully done. The TingaTinga paintings had begun in the early 1970s and were unique folk art. They still are, fifty years later. I remember their early years with great admiration. They started with beautifully simple designs of wildlife and birds, done on masonite board, and the paint was bicycle paint back then. Tourists quickly realized their beauty and bought them by the hundreds. What began in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, has now spread to all the major cities throughout East Africa. I heartily recommend artwork from the TingaTinga artists.
