Used to be good, but now it's an absolute waste of time, zero customer service even if you pay for Tinder Gold. Set my range to 29km yet I'm constantly getting swiped right daily by woman in Kenya!... See more

Permanent account ban with no clear explanation, no evidence, and no effective review
My experience with Tinder raises serious concerns about transparency, proportionality, and basic procedural fairness.
In January 2026, my account was permanently banned. The reason provided was alleged “false reporting” related to my use of the in-app reporting feature. I immediately appealed through Tinder’s official appeal process, but the appeal was rejected without any meaningful explanation.
At no point was I informed which specific reports were considered “false”, how Tinder determined that my reporting was inaccurate or abusive, whether my case was reviewed by a human moderator, or why a permanent and irreversible ban was considered proportionate.
I used the reporting feature in good faith, believing I was helping keep the platform safe. There was no warning, no clarification request, and no graduated response — only immediate and permanent exclusion.
What is most concerning is not the ban itself, but the absence of any real review mechanism. Once the appeal was rejected, there was no path to dialogue, clarification, or human reconsideration. The decision appears final, opaque, and unchallengeable.
Following the ban, I also discovered that creating a new account was automatically blocked, even when using different contact details, suggesting a broad and lasting restriction without transparency or explanation.
This is not simply dissatisfaction with a service outcome. It highlights a systemic issue: users can lose access to a major digital platform based on vague allegations, without access to evidence, clear reasoning, or an effective appeal process.
From a consumer perspective, this creates a severe imbalance of power and leaves users with no meaningful recourse. A platform of this scale should be held to higher standards of accountability and procedural fairness.
I am posting this review in good faith to accurately document my experience and to inform others that permanent account bans can be imposed and upheld without clear justification or transparent review.
Tinder decides who you have to be interested in
Perfectly fine to say you're not interested overweight people, women with kids, without an education, certain hair eye/eye color, and about 100 other descriptors but don't dare say you're not interested in hearing from anyone trans because that is "hate" and will get you banned for life.
Pay = no matches
Once I had paid for subscription matches stopped. Bycot dating apps
I had signed up for Gold and the first…
I had signed up for Gold and the first time I tried to swipe, I was told my account was banned and no explanation was given. I’ve used tinder on and off for a decade or more. Because I've been banned I cannot cancel my subscription for it. Customer service and their communication is absolutely horrendous
I wouldn’t even give 1 star.
I wouldn’t even give 1 star.
Tinder is a rip off I paid for 6 months without a reason they deleted my account.
Tinder is designed to rip people off…
Tinder is designed to rip people off from as much money as possible.
Not only do you have to pay a weekly amount, but you also have to then pay £12.99 to send a message to someone as you need to buy them in “packs of 3”, if they are not already matched to you, most women are unlikely to see if you have liked their picture as they can only see who liked their picture if they are also paying a ridiculous amount for a weekly or monthly amount.
I honestly wouldn’t advise anyone on using it.
Tinder is a complete scam and a total…
Tinder is a complete scam and a total waste of money and time.
They push you to pay for subscriptions like Gold or Platinum, promising more visibility and matches, but once you pay, nothing changes.
I lose 11.99$ 1 month and not even 1 match it's scam , never again I canceled this app

Con job
Whatever you do.. Don't get sucked into the"pay to play" model. I've tried this several times and it's been the exact same every time. Plenty of likes and matches - upgrade to gold membership.. Everything dies. Profile goes dark. It's just a method to squeeze boosts out of of the user.
I've spoken endlessly to their support team who are unfit for purpose, you never get the same staff member twice and they hide all the support emails, it's dreadful stuff.
Stuck with bumble and hinge. At least they are transparent in a way tinder have never ever been
My Tinder account was unfairly locked…
My Tinder account was unfairly locked after a failed photo verification — simply because my profile didn’t include a clear front-facing photo. The system gave me no alternative, and now my account has been stuck in review for days with no way to proceed.
I’ve sent over 5 emails to Tinder Support, but either received no response or just generic, copy-paste replies that did not address my issue at all.
I even tried creating a new account, but that was also blocked within a day — again requiring verification that I couldn’t complete.
This is extremely frustrating and unacceptable. As a loyal user, I expected at least basic customer service and a fair review process.
I’m asking for a manual review and real support. If Tinder cares about its users, it needs to respond properly and fix its broken support system.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. They provide little to no help and are focused on banning accounts that do not actually violate rules (which are revenge reported, oftentimes), refuse to appeal the decisions, but can't seem to grasp the overwhelming number of Bot accounts that appear – which coincidentally you only see an overwhelming number of when you're using the free tinder services. This company is a scam.
Tinder Scam – Removed Key Features from Paid Membership!
In 2025, I had a Tinder Plus subscription, and I was happy with what I got – a monthly boost and 5 free likes per day, which really added value to the service. When I decided to buy the subscription again for the full year in 2026, I noticed that the price stayed the same, but they removed all the key features like the boost and 5 daily likes. This is just a scam! I'm paying the same price but not getting what I had before. It's a complete rip-off where you're charged for something that no longer holds value. Tinder has turned into a company that just takes money without delivering on what it promises.
It's absolutely unacceptable that the company changes the terms without notifying users and removes such important features from the paid package. I wouldn't recommend this app to anyone. If you don't want to get scammed, better stay away from Tinder.
I haven't paid
I haven't paid. I guess I'm just unattractive & undesirable. Putting fake profiles of beautiful women isn't going to be successful. Real people with real needs. Obviously there are very few available women so real profiles wouldn't work for tinder. Many women are narcissists. I put my trust in fate that somehow someone will want me.
Poor support
The service is plagued by bots, paywalled features, and poor support.
The false hope app
This app is made in a way to create hope not good results .
And it will give you maches far away or no maches at all. It makes men depressed .
I hope there will one day be a good dating app that is honest and with many users.
Dating should be fun.
Dont buy
Iv tested this alot and about 8 times iv bought a suscription and every single time it finishes, you get a match which are fake scam accounts or scam accounts made by tinder there self.
Even when you msg these accounts that match to you, theres no reply and seen it so many times now.
Just out for money.
I paid for a month of subscription but…
I paid for a month of subscription but I was logged out of the app automatically and wasn’t able to sign in there after. Asking for help from the app company and Apple help hasn’t provided with a solution.
I wish I could give a lower rating but…
I wish I could give a lower rating but I can't. I purchased tinder platinum, I used it for over 12 months and the results were shockingly bad, (I have done professional photoshoots so my photos were proper). Honestly less than 50 matches a year. Alot of them were fake or bots... Also I have used this app many years ago it wasn't as bad and predatory as it is today. It's practically a scam...
I have a paid Tinder Gold
I have a paid Tinder Gold, but the app isn't sending me verification emails, so I can't log in.
I contacted support to ask for a technical issue to be resolved, or a refund if the service isn't working.
The support response completely ignored the technical issue and was just an automated message saying that a refund is possible within 14 days.
No attempt to resolve the issue, no technical assistance. This is not support. This is a farce. The poor thing should be in court. It didn't happen once. It happened many times. They never resolved anything at all.
SCAMMERS
SCAMMERS
RIGHT AFTER PAYING 3 MONTHS OF TINDER PLUS, ON TOP OF CONSTANTLY DELETING MY ACCOUNT SUDDENLY FOR NO REASON BEFORE CAN EVEN SWIPE ON ANYONE, MAKING ENDLESS SELFIES VERIFICATIONS ONE AFTER THE OTHER, DOESN'T EVEN ALLOW TO RESTORE PURCHASE IN ANY DEVICE ALWAYS SAYING ERROR AND NOT EVEN SHOWING UP ANY PROFILES TO SWIPE AFTER FINALLY VERIFIED 10TH TIME. NOTHING WORKS EVEN WHEN PAID AS WORST APP ONLY GETS WORSE. ONLY REASON IT GETS STARS ABOVE 1 IS THAT ALL WOMEN GET ENDLESS MATCHES REGARDLESS OF LOOKS SO IT'S ONLY USEFUL FOR EGO BOOST NOW SO THEY DONT QUIT AND THE REST CANT EITHER. ONLY GETS MORE EXPENSIVE AND USELESS WITH TIME UNTIL IMPOSSIBLE TO USE, COPYING USELESS BUMBLE.
