While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more
To protect platform integrity, every review on our platform—verified or not—is screened by our 24/7 automated software. This technology is designed to identify and remove content that breaches our guidelines, including reviews that are not based on a genuine experience. Timbermere Studio makes handcrafted wooden chopping and serving boards, built one at a time from British hardwoods. I'm Ewald, the founder and sole maker, and I've worked from my workshop near Selby, North Yorkshire, since 2019. Every board is made to order and made by hand - there's no factory and no production line. I choose each piece of timber for its grain, colour and character before it's cut, and a board takes around four hours of work spread across a week. I work mainly in six hardwoods - European oak, black walnut, American cherry, European beech, Canadian maple and purpleheart, in both end-grain and edge-grain, many with juice grooves and hand-rounded edges. Every one is finished food-safe and built to be used every day for decades, not replaced in a year. Gifts are welcome - add a note at checkout and I'll include it, with no prices in the box. If you've bought a board from me, I'd be grateful if you'd share how you found it. Honest reviews, good or bad, help me improve and help others choose. Thank you for supporting a small British workshop.
