HEOS free of charge?

I have a HEOS Soundsystem and via the app I can stream Tidal for free. It's suberb in sound on FLAC format.
Still have no idea why it's for free on my system? Also TuneIn radio. Maybe it's part of the package.
If I have to compare it to Spotify it is clear and full dynamic. Spotify sounds mumbling if you listen to Tidal they've got vorbis 192 mp3 and podcasts even lower.
I didn't have and problem. I see all those reviews about customer support. I really don't know how to reach them. Tidal doesn't offer playlists. You have to made it yourself.

Tidal Support is excellent

Had to contact Tidal Support after playback didn't work following a Microsoft update. They were very prompt and helpful and we got things sorted eventually. My expectations were not high but they massively exceeded them. I am surprised to see that several people prefer Spotify over Tidal. I could not disagree more. On our system (Harbeth speakers, AMR Dac and monoblocks) the sound quality on Tidal is infinitely better than Spotify.

TIDAL=SCAMMERS

TIDAL=SCAMMERS

I have been a Tidal subscriber since the beginning. For some reason they cancelled my subscription--citing declined payment, which is absurd, impossible, neither financial institution has a record of, and hasn't happened in ten years.

Anyhow, I reached out to customer service several times. They give zero cares about customer loyalty, and TIDAL DOES NOT VALUE THEIR CUSTOMERS.

I am very disappointed. And after doing a bit of research, I learned Tidal fraudulently cancels subscriptions to force customers to pay higher rates. If I were to get a new subscription, which is what they're trying to force me to do, it would cost me nearly twice as much for the same service I've had for nearly a decade.

INSTEAD, GO TO APPLE MUSIC. For the same rate, I can get both Apple Music (the family package) and the bundle including Apple TV.

They´re absolutely NOT paying the artists as they promised to do.

Audio quality? OK.
Working app? Nah, rarely works fine for more than 1h on android or PC. DAILY new bugs and sudden stops.

But, the worst of it all is the fake idea of being a better platform for musicians too. I diligently asked about 10 artists to track if their royalties were being paid correctly according to Tidal´s for Artists own panel and, naturally, 100% of them agree that no, Tidal has been eating royalties and giving artists less and less bucks than any other platform they accused of being unfair.

Do yourself a favor: if you are a fan of music, do not subscribe to any Tidal plan. If you are an artist, do not recommend this scam to any other band or fan. Distributors says that can´t do anything about it, as they only receive what Tidal says they owe to the artists and nothing else more. As mentioned, it was tested with more than one artist and also more than one distributor, so Tidal is the failure point of the equation.

I was charged by my CC company for…

I was charged by my CC company for $10.99 by Tidal.com. I never heard of them before or subscribed by accident or intent. I filed for fraud protection and cancelled my CC. This has significantly hurt their reputation in my eyes and will not do business with them in the future even if their music quality is superior to other streaming companies.

Not hi res friendly in reality.

In fairness I'm still in an extended free trial so I'm not fully invested.

I'll probably be going back to quobuz in a month. Tidal had a better choice of cd quality albums but I listen a lot to classical music and only in Hi res, or 'max' as Tidal seems to call it.

I imported my Quobuz hi res favourites and most of the tidal equivalents were just 16 bit.

Tidal does have a lot of hi res music but the problem is finding it. My device search, (Cambridge), includes 16 bit tidal albums as high res and the Tidal app doesn't allow search results to be filtered for just high res, (max).
It also doesn't allow searching for just max albums or tracks.

Compared to Quobuz this is impossibly inconvenient and frustrating.

Errors playing back

Errors playing back, with not playing complete songs and jumping forward in the queue. Not being able to find songs in the queue, lowering quality due to network speed, even though I have a >500 mbps connection. MQA required buying an upgrade to the player app and it doesn't sound better. Qobuz is much better and works better for me.

TIDAL: Great Audio, Frustrating Interface (Android)

TIDAL offers fantastic sound quality, but the Android app suffers from a couple of shortcomings that make it a frustrating experience for me.

Firstly, TIDAL doesn't remember where I left off when using Android Auto. Every time I start the car, it forgets the last song and jumps back to the beginning of my playlist. This is a major annoyance, especially on long drives.

Secondly, managing playlists is clunky. When I delete a song, TIDAL annoyingly jumps back to the top of the playlist instead of staying at the point of deletion. This makes cleaning up large playlists a tedious chore.

These quirks might seem minor, but they significantly impact my daily use. Until TIDAL addresses these issues, I won't be subscribing after my trial ends.

Tidal ripping off customers with high additional subscription charges for dj controllers

After investing in a new dj controller worth over £1400 and the manufacturer promoting the use of tidal streaming services Tidal have now just launched a monthly subscription fee on top of standard plan fees in order to be able to use the service with dj controllers . This influenced my purchase of the controller in the first place and then to be clobbered by now having to pay an additional 9.99 per month on top of the subscription fee. This is disgraceful and I’ve now cancelled my Tidal and reverted back to Spotify which my view is still superior Anyway. A poor move from Tidal but I guess they won’t feel the loss . So if your buying a new controller keep that in mind when investing in hardware if you need streaming services from Tidal for this purpose .

When it works it works as advertised

When it works it works as advertised. But as of late it will skip to another song without command on a good day. Bad days the the entire app just shuts down. Occurs on both Bluetooth app as well as Play Fi WiFi. Qobuz has no such issues. Least they rid themselves of the MQA bs.

Gone back to spotify

Gone back to spotify. Customer support is completely non existent. Had to cancel dd to get them to respond, they didn't even do that.
Good for the few months, but kept logging out and could never get back in. Passwords change and been charged twice. Maybe if I say TIDAL YOU ARE RUBBISH TREAT YOU CUSTOMERS BETTER. They may contact me.
spotify is so much easier to get support. Even tidals own support page has a glitch developers must be complete muppitts.

My credit card was manipulated by…

My credit card was manipulated by another person and when I noticed charges on my credit card I contacted customer service at Tidal requesting my funds back for the services I did notreceive. It was confirmed that the email associated with my credit card was not my email. To rectify the situation, Tidal stated that the account connected to my credit card was cancelled, my credit card information removed but they refused to reimburse me for the 10 months of payments that were taken from my credit card. I would never recommend this streaming service to anyone. Horrible customer service response. I should be reimbursed the 10 months of payments as I was charged for services I did not receive.
