WARNING: TicketTree does not provide ticket purchase protection like Ticketmaster and StubHub. Hundreds of people who bought tickets for Sail4th 250 Premier Access viewing from Governors Island were denied refunds when the promoter canceled only these tickets blaming weather when they still allowed VIP ticket holders access to their viewing area. In fact, NBC broadcast their coverage of the event from the exact same area that had been reserved for the Premier Access ticket holders without a hitch. BUYER BEWARE.

I purchased four tickets through Ticketree but could not use the access I paid for because the organizer did not open the designated viewing area.

Ticketree claims that it fulfilled its obligation by sending me the tickets and that I did not use them. According to its response, what happened with the organizer is not its responsibility because the tickets had already been delivered. Bank of America accepted that explanation and denied my dispute.

I am very disappointed. I did not choose to leave the four tickets unused—I was unable to access the service I purchased. It is unfair that I paid for four tickets and received neither the access I paid for nor a refund.
